    The Little Acre is a short, beautiful, and rough around the edges point and click adventure game. The art and animation kept me intrigued and pushed me forward throughout the story. Which the story was interesting, but did start to feel a bit rushed near the final moments of the game and would have loved to learn more about the worlds and the character inhabiting them.

    I personally will say although the puzzles weren't overly challenging, I really enjoyed that Pewter Games gave you the option for hints which for someone not savvy on adventure games I was quite thankful.

    If you want a simple, pleasant, and charming experience that feels like you're playing a classic Disney movie you should definitely check out the Little Acre.    … Expand

    -Some may say the puzzles are too simple but really the logic is just really easy to follow because it makes sense while still allowing for zany point and click shenanigans.
    OKS!: -Characters and the world feel like they could have been expanded on greatly and while a little charming not enough so to carry the game. CONS!: -About two hours in length which isn't normally a    PROS:

    A charming, but Rushed Experience.
    The little Acre is a point and click adventure game where you play as both Aidan and his Daughter Lilly Aiden Wakes up, and the game instantly does a great job of setting the tone for the game and giving you an idea of what it will be like by forcing you to get dressed without leaving the bed so that you don’t wake Lilly..     Usually adventure games have stupid puzzles that don’t make sense like mixing a toaster with a bathtub to end your suffering... here thankfully every single puzzle makes sense… which could lead veterans of this genre to feel the game is too simple…
    But it was a nice change of pace, and I enjoyed the simplicity of these logic puzzles…
    The art style and animation is hands down the greatest peart of this experience and is ultimately its saving grace..
    The entire game is done in an old-school hand drawn Disney style… and the way the characters interacted with different items in the game, their facial expressions… everything about the animation made me smile way more than I had any hopes of it doing…
    Unfortunately the animation was all that kept me going… and the gameplay was enjoyably simple enough to not make progression feel like a chore… even offering hints and solutions making this a very friendly game for all ages to enjoy… but the overall feel of this game is little below average
    thanks to the voice acting and the story delivery…
    Aiden wakes up and wonders where his father is…
    You have to unlock his shed, where you find this machine that takes you to the land of chibi formed characters…
    Shortly after Lily makes breakfast for herself as her dad is gone and goes on a search for him... ending up in this same land…
    All of this is fine… it’s a great plot… but its laughably rushed…
    There’s no character development… no reason to care about anything going on…
    It feels like a story board with no meat between plot points…
    The delivery is literally
    Where are you? Found you.
    It’s that fast.
    No conflict, no build up…
    Its question and instant answer for 2 hours.
    And the voice acting here isn’t necessarily bad... but it doesn’t fit the characters…
    The evil dude just sounds like makiplyer telling a ghost story… and Lilly and Aiden sound more like brother and sister than father and daughter…
    You can tell that no effort went into finding fights for the vision of these characters... almost like they were randomly assigned to people and they took whatever they got…
    While The Little Acre tells a rushed story and doesn’t offer too engaging of a gameplay experience…
    The charm of the animation is great enough to make this game worth the 2 hour run-through…

    Five Word Review: Short, cutesy adventure worth playing.
    Favorite Thing: Gotta be those hand-drawn visuals!
    Least Favorite Thing: The game switches between characters too frequently.

    Recommendation: Yeah, it was a decent adventure game with some really nice, hand-drawn visuals.

    Странные ощущения после игры. Вроде визуально выглядит приятно, но не хватает плавности и более отзывчивого управления. С повествованием тоже вроде все хорошо, но при этом сюжет пресноватый. Уже через пару часов после прохождения начинаешь забывать про эту игру. Хорошая игра, по моему мнению детишкам должно понравиться.Странные ощущения после игры.     This is a very charming, adorable, short, easy, family friendly game. Although, a family friendly game doesn't necessarily mean its a children's game, I struggle to decide if this game was more intended to for kids. Mainly, because of how incredibly easy it is but also, because the soundtrack at times seems very lullaby-ish. Having said that I will review this game as if it wasn't justThis is a very charming, adorable, short, easy, family friendly game. I would also like to preface this review by saying I'm very impressed with this game considering it's a low budget game with a very small design team(2 people). Everyone involved is obviously very talented and I hope to see a more adult oriented and polished game from them in the future. I think these devs have some real potential.

    Graphics 4/5:
    This games visuals are very appealing, The artists are obviously very talented but, I did have one issue. Playing this game on a high end gaming machine with a high end monitor revealed some imperfections. Also, at times the characters would really standout from the background. Other than that, quite solid.

    Sound 2/5:
    As with the visuals in this game its very apparent the musicians involved with the score are quite talented. My issues here were not with performance but that some of the score itself I simply did not enjoy. Particularly, there is a part of the game with a more electronic music part that, being a musician who plays instruments and produces music digitally, I found very displeasing. Also, as i stated in my preface, some of the soundtrack gives the game a very childish feel. Lastly, I would have given this category a 3 had it not been for the voice over volume drastically changing at times.

    Story 4/5:
    A very charming little tale. i particularly love the dog in the game because he reminds me of my dog but all of the characters have a charm to them and the story was actually quite interesting. The story category nearly earned itself a 5 but because the ending was so rushed and cut short it lost a point.

    Gameplay 3/5:
    The game has no bugs or broken puzzles that I'm aware of but the puzzles are childishly simple. I can imagine even as a kid(i started playing point and clicks when i was 7 years old) I would have been disappointed with the difficulty. The characters in the game give way too much unnecessary information and slack on giving valuable information. Lastly, and this is a big problem I have with tons of point and clicks, the characters responses to the user trying a false solution is never unique. This is a big aspect that makes the user makes feel more immersed in point and click games. If every time you try something the character gives 1 of 3 auto responses(i.e. "Nope" "Not a good idea" etc.) it becomes monotonous very quickly.

    In conclusion, I would highly recommend this game for kids and for people who have never played a point and click adventure game. It's a great intro to the genre. Seasoned point and click gamers may find themselves disappointed with what they get for the price tag so it may be best for those folks to wait for it to go on sale.    … Expand
