As a former U. S. Air Force flyer, needless to say, I have some knowledge as to how aircraft function and the various physical stress levels involved. In Activisions Battle of Britain, there is a definite overuse of "Red Outs", "Black Outs", and perhaps most irritating of all, the programs denial of the player to control the aircraft he is flying without interruption. In Activisions Battle of Britain, there is a definite overuse of "Red Outs", "Black Outs", and perhaps most irritating of all, the programs denial of the player to control the aircraft he is flying without interruption. For example: in BoB, if you pull your joystick to the right, most often the plane you are flying will dive to the left, invert or basically just go out of control. While the graphics are excellent, the artwork unsurpassed, loss of game control by the player makes this a poor value in my opinion. Expand

A decent offering and an affordable way for a player to build skills and eventually enter the fray in "Warbirds" online.
  2. For the low price of $20, anyone who likes combat flight sims at all should pick this up. It's accommodating to “newbs” and veterans alike, and it's also really really fun.
  3. Takes a refreshing approach in that rather than taking out the challenge entirely, it tries to ease players through the frustrating aspects of virtual flight so that they can experience the rewards themselves. It's successful in most ways.
