The only first cool and coolest game with a variety of gameplay (part 2 of the game made by fools is very stupid and can not bear the name of the original) that is, for this 1 game 10 points out of 10 and why can't I officially buy this game on Steam ?

Oh boy The Godfather game, great stuff!

If you explore it the game is unique in the ways you can approach it.
This year the game is 12 years old and i still have to install it and play it.
At this point i like to play it as the most subtle gangster ever.
That means without ever dying, without ever getting arrested and without ever starting a mob-war.
There are so many little tricks to play it that way, it's some of the most fun i'have ever had with a game.
In the game there are two main things to do: conquer the city with all of his rackets and territories and of course play the cool story missions, wasting mobsters alongside Sonny Corleone himself!
When you go for the taking of the city you can enter every joint, every warehouse, compound or transport hub guns blazing, and after killing enough gangsters you will get enough vendetta level to start a Mob War.
Not to lose said war you go to the FBI and bribe them, that will clear every level of vendetta from the different families.
BUT! if you pace yourself and take turn with the 4 families and once you have taken let's say a Tattaglia restaurant you then proceed to a Stracci bakery or flower-shop, and then the other families and so on, the first family you have attacked will start "loosing interest" while you are banging the others! If you then go for a little Movie Reels hunting to gain respect point and improve your experience in Fighting, Heath, Shooting, Street Smarts and Speed time will pass and you will see your vendetta level and even police heat gradually drop.
Also once you start a mission, and there are many, all heat and vendetta will clear!
So there's a way to approach the game without having to spend money on bribing Feds and being a subtle little gangster.
Also if you run over gangsters or if you manage to grab them and kill them bare handed, fighting or strangling you will gain a quite lower vendetta amount than if you shoot them dead.
And you know what ? If you push a car with a truck (those are pretty much motorized armors!) and you run over the thugs it wont even count as your kill and you will get no vendetta at all!
Same goes for the cops and their "heat" !
If you are sneaky and manage to enter the rackets by the back doors try extorting the managers, maybe silently strangle a guard if you can get quick to them, this way the other armed crooks wont hear you! if you succeed to do so, go away take a car run a few blocks and then come back,
since you took the "criminal" portion of the place, all of the guarding mobsters are now black suited Corleones! You now just extort whoever is running the front and this way you had to deal less than half the gangsters!
If the cops are on to you lead them to already conquered businesses and have fun watching the protecting allies shoot them down form different directions ! This wont gain you any heat since it's not you who did the killing ! :-D

Don't go buying any health bottles by the bogus doctors either! Explore the churches in Brooklyn, Jersey and Hell's Kitchen, you'll find them free in the basements or the little rooms to the front and right when you enter!

Well i know so many tricks like these, but i'm tired of typing... trust me, i rarely had this much fun playing and replaying a sand box game like with the great Electronic Art's "The Godfather" !

The Godfather The Game is an action-adventure game that was developed and published by Electronic Arts. It is the first game in the series and is based on the movie Godfather whom it's name. The game stands out for the return of the original film actors who have lent her voice even. In the game have to listen to some order to gain respect and make New York City your city.

Visually the game did not age well... the graphics are really bad, specially the environments, character models are well modeled and the texture work makes them look descent enough. The game takes place on New York, but most of the streets and buildings looks the same.
For a game that relies heavily in combat it's implementation is badly executed, gun shooting has a poorly precision, basically most of the shoots will not hit the enemy even if you lock your aim to it. As well as it's unbalanced, you can be level 4 which in this game is called "CAPO" and a level 2 enemy can erase you from existence in a couple of shoots, and i have to mention as well that enemies are bullet sponges... this sucks.
The game has a leveling system that will increase your rank based on respect collected, this can be collected by completing missions, side missions and taking over rackets and extorting local business. But let's face it... extorting every single business and racket will take for ever, as they are too many and guarded by rival mafia families and this can be skip able, but... at the same time you must do them to keep leveling up so you can beat tougher enemies.
Driving is not that bad, but cars are easy to broke, it's like if they were made out of paper.
Mission design is boring and extremely repetitive, drive to this position, shoot someone and drive again and shoot again. No variation at all.
The only positive point of this game is the story, it tells it's own story with a new character (the player) as he made his way ranking into different positions in the Corleone family business. The cut scenes are entertaining and the writing is good too, it has some scenes from the first film but most of the game it's an original story, Marlon Brandon return to play Don Corleone (well... the most he could) it's a shame they couldn't get the likeness of Al Pacino and his voice for Michel Corleone.
Running this game in modern systems it's not an easy task, The game won't work at all in Windows 10, it will crash after character customization even applying patches, renaming the Video folder that plays the cutscenes or setting compatibility mode won't work, my only solution was installing windows 7 on my imac and play there instead of my gaming PC and even so some tweeks are require to make it run without problem on windows 7.

Very weak game based on an excellent film. The overall graphic style is insipid, uninspiring and repetetive. The controls are cumbersome and the driving is just silly. The only thing decent is the aiming control, but overall this game jsut isn't fun to play.

This game is not for PC but for XBOX or PS, just arcade style fighting, playing it with a PC makes combat difficult to control. Graphics are average but OK, a lot of good ideas but the gameplay makes them useless. The real problem is a game fully repetitive : you racket 10 times the same shop in various places with the same guys inside....quickly borring. Try Oblivion.

Making a game based of a movie (or a movie based of a game) usually winds up bad. I was surprised this didn't. +Pros: Exciting story, great acting, customizeable characters, sound, music and much more. -Cons: Maybe a bit complicated controls, Cars feel REALLY fast To sum it up, I think it's a great game, definitely worth to be played.

GTA always tried to buy into the gangsta cool, The Godfather doesnt have to, it is steeped in it. EA have done justice to the film, seamlessly mixing scenes and dalogue into the fabrc of the game.

I bought the game about a month ago. I only have a laptop because I travel so much, so the graphics for me aren't great cause my video is integrated in the motherboard. I would imagine the graphics look good on a serious gaming machine PC, the main characters were all very well done. Everyone (everything) else is too repetitive; as written earlier, the same bakers, same smoke shops, I bought the game about a month ago. Everyone (everything) else is too repetitive; as written earlier, the same bakers, same smoke shops, same people on the street, same cars, same layouts in a business, etc. It really can get to be too much. The PC controls can be easily fixed by pausing, going to the OPTIONS menu and CHECKING the INVERT BOX, makes everything normal (Left is left, etc). Driving takes skill in my opinion. I was VERY frustrated the first few missions while driving, especially after getting slammed into a wall after I thought I had gotten the hang of it...stick with the small fast cars (found in Brooklyn and Midtown)-fastest speed with the best control. In my opinion the MISSIONS are great because they flawlessly intertwine you into the storyline from the movie. Once they are done though, extorting another 30 restaurants and 10 warehouses just seems boring. The weapons are cool (I've mastered the game using the Level 3 Assassin Pistol and Level 3 Street Sweeper, no other guns needed)...blowing up stuff, burning bad guys, shooting holes through trucks, and cracking people's heads open with lead pipes and baseball bats also has it's appeal. You're offered a plethora of hit contracts and various ways they must be carried out for bonus cash and respect which is VERY entertaining. You'll probably play it once stumbling through, second time going for all the bonus stuff, and then want to sell it/return it because it just becomes repetetive; you'll know exactly where every bad guy will hide in a warehouse, where to expect all the suprises like cops coming up on you, and the end just doesn't give you that sense of accomplishment. 1. Yes, the game’s main collection of 20-plus story missions last roughly 10 hours, but after that you’ll be spending at least two or three times as many hours striving for 100% game completion and the ultimate ascension to Don of NYC.
  2. The type of gameplay has been seen a millions times before. Its sole advantage is that it relies on an extremely powerful narrative, backed up by a serious cast and admirable music. It's all about car chases, street shootouts, controlling diverse rackets and respecting fellow family members.
  3. Though The Godfather is competent, it is also bland, despite the voices of James Caan and Robert Duvall, and you rarely feel a sense of power.
