JasonW.Mar 29, 2006I have played the 360 version and the pc version, I dont see how anyone would give 360 version a higher rating, when the pc version was 10x more detailed and will be patched etc... while 360 will stick with its sound bugs among others it's having.

DaveR.Apr 12, 2006How truly awe-inspiring this game would be if the AI weren't flawed and those sometimes not-so-sublte collision glitches were removed. Once the buzz of freedom ran out, I began wincing occassionally at problems both with gameplay and character creation.

DerekR.Jun 15, 2006This game is simply briliant. Not only are you free to do what ever you want but it is increadablly easy to edit the world that the game is played in. Like making weapons and armors custom for your charactor then placing them some where in the world. Most of all this game has beautiful landscapes, well if your computer can run them of course.

MCNov 12, 2006While not perfect (due to a few minor issues with gameplay and a general "emptiness" of the game world), this game is certainly a must-have for all those who like freedom of exploration. Outstanding graphics, excellent soundtrack and the epic scale of the environments (especially outdoors) make Oblivion an excellent sequel to Morrowind. Kudos to Bethesda Software!

Aug 26, 2010great game, great concepts, great interactivity. However if you're more into a storyline than a i want to play this forever game then this isn't for you. For me without constant DLC it gets really old really fast especially when you have done all Daedra, main story, guild quests. Some may say there is a world of replay value here but i would disagree sorry.

May 27, 2020Somehow when I think about The Elder Scrolls, Oblivion seems closer to my heart than Skyrim, not sure why maybe just because of the nostalgia! So I have to give this 9 out of 10.
-
May 20, 2013My favorite RPG of all time, I wish it would have been as in depth rpg wise as morrowind, and have as many weapon types but it makes up for it with tonnes of quests, really fun combat and a massive map that I'm still finding new things in after years of playing. This game will never be forgotten.

Aug 8, 2014The game lacked a little bit of climate from Morrowind, but the graphics were a huge improvement, the journal is finally readable, the map is really epic, and the game has a little Lord of the Rings feel to it.
And you can actually feel the tension building when you see all of those Oblivion gates opening in greater and greater numbers everywhere on the map. -

Oct 5, 2016Truly one of the best games of all time (Or at least my favorite) even a decade after it's release date.
Brings back so many nostalgic memories, everything ties together so well & the music can be separated from the game and still stand on it's own two legs. -

Oblivion got the best guild and side quests in all of the Elder scrolls series and Dark Brotherhood questline is probably one of the best in all RPGs period. But stupid level scaling of enemies takes a lot of fun the gameplay. Visuals looked amazing when it came out, not so much now. -

Dec 26, 2019Graphics dont age well, The AI are a tad.. dumb, the voice acting can sometimes be off, but the RPG elements, story, and lure make up for those take-aways completely. This is a game that brings you in and lets you experience its fantastically crafted world without resistance or restraint. Its interesting, its inviting, and its definitely fun. I really dont know what more i could ask.

Aug 16, 2018Good Game. A Big Open World To Explore With Tons of Side Quests, An Amazing Story And Even Though It's Not As Good As Elder Scrolls Skyrim It's A Great Game.
-
Jun 8, 2021Played it at least 5 times, each time have gotten unique experience, back then it was perfect
-
Oct 24, 2018A phenomenal and revolutionary fantasy rpg game that may not be considered good to those who have yet to play it, but at release it was amazing. If you have not yet played Skyrim, give this a try first or else you may not be able to get past the bad graphics and clunky combat.

Dec 2, 2018Perfect rpg. Everything i ever wanted from rpg. Original quests, Captivating storyline, and this wierd feeling that you get when you boot it up. That just makes you want to play it forever. Better than Skyrim.
-
Feb 15, 2019Oh the graphics, they were so great. Main story was at times a bit repetitive, but some of the sideline quests (esp. thieves guild and the dark brotherhood) were amazing. Bugs were not really annoying, just funny. A great game, perhaps the best elder scrolls in my opinion. Playing it today in 2019, it feels very, very dated, but that wont affect my review.
-
Jan 9, 2019This is the best Game from Bethesda. It's a Masterpiece. The quests are perfect, the story is unbelivable good and the world is very nice. The only bad thing are the Oblivion gates. They are every time nearly the same and are not fit well in, in the game design and the world.
-
Jan 29, 2019Thats my childhood right there. I remember how i got scared of everything and those bugs are just AWESOME. (Bugs in Oblivion are an actual enjoyable part of the game, if you dont like them you know nothing about Oblivion :)
-
Feb 1, 2019By far,it's the best game i've ever played in my entire life, nice graphics, awesome story and lore, fun and addicting, incredible quests and side-quests,unique character, you can be whatever you want, you can choose the race you want, the class you want, you are free to do whatever you want,it's almost a perfect game!
-
Feb 11, 2019Has all the good stuff about elder scrolls games.
Suffers from
- Bugs
- Bad Voice acting
- Bad story (closing gates is repetitive)
- Bad combat
Overall one of the great games.
Everything else is good

Jan 15, 202110/10 - one of the best, most entertaining RPGs ever created. The graphics, plot and ability to do so much is still very fun.
-
Jun 21, 2020Beautiful environment and atmosphere, great story, filled with care and personality, charming, great gameplay, fun combat, amazing exploration. A must play masterpiece of a game, if you ask me. It is also my favourite game of all time.
-
Sep 14, 2019Very good game. Maybe the story is not fantastic as in Morrowind and level scaling provide to various situations but this is still TES! Many mods, many guilds, many hours, wonderful world.
-
Jun 25, 2020Отличная игра для своего времени. конечно не без проблем, одной из которых является боевая система. Но это не особо портит впечатление.
-
Oct 10, 2019My favourite game ever. The graphics and clunky AI is what gives this game characterics and makes it memorable and I honestly feel bad for the people that can't see the beautiful universe, quests and lore behind it. No game's world has ever fascinated me as much as this one.
-
Oct 30, 2019Recently re-played this game, and although it is as janky and weird as it always has been, this is still one of my all-time favourite first-person role-playing games, and probably the only game I have replayed as much as this. Coupled with The Shivering Isles expansion this game is just unbeatable. Would I recommend this game to someone who has never played Oblivion before? Probably not.
-
Nov 18, 2019One of the best RPGs after Morrowind.
Back then visuals in this game was outstanding !! Story also good but not a masterpiece :) -
Nov 18, 2021Masterpiece! For it’s time this game has a lot to offer, character customisation, different play styles. I definitely recommend this game to anyone who hasn’t played it.

Sep 2, 2020One of the best if not even the best game I've ever played. With a beautiful world to explore, one of the best soundtracks in video game history and an unmatched charme, this game will suck you into it's world, shape you and give you one of the greatest experiences you will ever come across in a video game.

It’s just so damned big. That’s what you’ll say after playing Oblivion for more than an hour. Or, for that matter, 50 hours.
-
Oblivion is by far the closest I have come to playing D&D Sunday afternoons with my friends (yes, I did that, though I’m on medication now), all wrapped up in a stunning package with tens of thousands of lines of spoken dialog and good music.
-
I honestly have to say that I am in favour of most of the changes and I think Oblivion is an awesome achievement from Bethesda.
