-
Tried and true adventure game fare with several good puzzles integrated nicely into the story, especially at the end.
-
As things stand, unless you go rabid for Egypt or tired old adventure games then I would advise you pass up on this time travelling opportunity.
-
With a decent story, authentic backdrop, intriguing personalities and classic puzzles, theres a lot to like here.
-
Computer Games MagazineIt's very short, and can be beaten in a matter of hours, but at $20, it's an excellent buy as it is inspired, and engaging. [Aug 2004, p.70]

AceGamezThe visuals are stunning, the history is accurate and the dialogue is good.

As for me, I had a surprisingly good time helping Maya struggle to bring all of the events back into the bosom of the benevolent gods. Tight story, excellent puzzles, attractive graphics -- what else could we grouchy adventure game players ask for?
-
Whilst a little slow paced the game does offer a little variety in the form of puzzles and although the path through the game seems very forced it is still intriguing to play through if just for short periods of time.
-
The combination of realistic architecture, history, surrealistic gods and magic will draw you in, but the been-there-done-that take on the puzzles and the journey's short length might not be enough to hold your interest.
-
It is at once intriguing, educating, amusing and ultimately fulfilling.
-
I gave every category about 80% in my scoring, and that sums up The Egyptian Prophecy pretty well. Nothing about it is amazing, but nothing about it is bad, either.
-
If youre a hard-core gamer looking for an action-packed challenge then go elsewhere. EP is designed for a mainstream audience and with a short play time youll probably wish you picked up "Tomb Raider 17" instead.
-
A gripping storyline and entertaining puzzles that do not frustrate combine to help create a compelling adventure game.
-
There is nothing particularly difficult about completing Maya's quest, but it is one which offers a good variety of conundrums, including some quite original variants on some old standards.
