    Taking the good and weighing it against the few negatives or things I would've changed or added, The Crew carves a name for itself amongst the ranks of long standing racing series with one quick motion.

    The size of the world is stunning and it's a good racing game, but the controls and the little bit disappointing multiplayer mode are the reasons it's not a great game.

    Rating The Crew is problematic, because you can look at this game from two perspectives. In view of some simplifications and scripted moments it will not delight those in search of pure racing. Those who appreciate large open worlds however will be overjoyed. [01/2015, p.70]

    The Crew is a big sandbox with very good ideas, but it's a game wrapped up in issues. The driving is uncomfortable and the physics deceive your cars.

    The Crew is not without issues, but still offers a lot of fun: the pleasant driving model and huge world encourage exploration. It's during the free roaming that the game spreads its wings and offers real breadth.

    It’s a fun distraction for the short term but unless this is the kind of meal you’d like to eat three times a day for the next twenty five years, you are going to find yourself not quite sated by what The Crew has to offer.

    If you've enjoyed Test Drive, the sceneries, the driving, the cars, the freedom, welcome to The Crew!

    Beware of Evolutions! First, forget the bling-bling and collection of gleaming cars, the aim and your weapon of competition of the game is the tuning and upgrading of your precious, or your few preciouses all along the progression of this Fast and Furious-like racing MORPG!

    And BEWARE!!! Streets, towns, countrysides, mountains, deserts are ALIVE and swarming with animation! Cars, pedestrians, an extremely varied wildlife will brighten up and add spice to your driving experience!

    And this is NOT advertising but the feedback of a passionate of the game and big supporter of the crew behind The Crew, Ivory Tower.

    Well of course, the game is at it's beginning and there is still a lot to do and deploy to polish it's promised splendour. As it is an on-line only game, there are some issues that need to be corrected nevertheless the launch was for now a success compared to the launch of other Ubisoft or other racing games lately.

    AND we have a dev team dedicated to their baby (with not to forget no less than 7 hard years of work developing it hidden in their Ivory Tower) and open minded, listening to the community (they proved it, taking into account the critics and suggestions of the beta testers community) and working day and night to make their dream came truth running day after day.

    Stephane Beley, Director of the Game promised us AT LEAST one year of daily, weekly and monthly adds on, challenges, DLC's (paying and for free), and more if the community asks and follow the game!

    By the way, you'll need to come up to level 20 to begin to handle the true potential of the game and Level 50 (the top level) is only the beginning of the freedom throughout the amazing reproduction of the huge USA territory of The Crew!

    An open world massively multi-player racing game that I hotly recommend !    … Expand

    The Crew was definitely better than expected. The racing is fun and never gets boring because of all the different terrains and car classes.The Crew was definitely better than expected. Doesn't need more than that to have an entertaining game.

    The graphics could be better. Everything except the cars looks a bit dated and undetailled. The story is silly, but a racing game doesn't need a great story.

    It's an 8 or 8.5, but because of all the negative troll ratings I give it a 9/10.    … Expand

    The customisation is good, and honestly the best we have at the moment in a racing game.
    There's manual transmission which you don't find in modern NFS titles anymore.
    The gameplay is arcade, as you would expect, so no surprises there.

    Should you buy it? On sale, yes, I think it's definitely worth it.

    Why the low score?
    It's simple...Uplay.
    It's unstable, unreliable and will often just lose connectivity for no reason while at the same time Origin and Steam will still be running perfectly. It's also always online, which wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for Uplay.
    If this game used only Steam I'd have given it 8/10, because Steam actually works.    … Expand
