    This game is unplayable on the xbox game pass. Its been out for a month and im still facing game progress halting bugs

    This is a really good game. I've heard and seen a few reviews that claim its average at best - WRONG. This one really stands out. It's absolutely gorgeous, the gunplay is hella fun, the voice-acting, dialogue and character design are well done, the world-building is supreme. But mostly its just fun. I kept doing side missions just because its FUN to explore and shoot up more baddies.This is a really good game. I've heard and seen a few reviews that claim its average at best - WRONG. This one really stands out. It's absolutely gorgeous, the gunplay is hella fun, the voice-acting, dialogue and character design are well done, the world-building is supreme. But mostly its just fun. I kept doing side missions just because its FUN to explore and shoot up more baddies.

    It's a solid 9. No questions about it.

    A cheap game that offers extremely beautiful gameplay, aesthetics, an incredibly immersive world and lots of fun. Every detail will leave you absolutely stunned.

    It is seriously one of the best games released in a very long time.

    A cyberpunk game done right.

    The game is amazing I don't understand the reviews. I played 10hours already and its such a nice break from 3rd person action adventures and fps games. The game just is insane for the fact that only 12 people made it. Brovo

    Dope game. Super detailed world, nice sound effects, and I absolutely love the cyber punk atmosphere. This world is unreal. Should have been the world used in Cyberpunk 2077. Don't usually go crazy over twin stick shooters but this one is definitely well made.

    Amazing game, has some teething issues and a few bugs, which i am sure will be sorted, but game of the year so far for me, absolutely stunning and fun game

    Qu'est ce que ce jeu est bon. Le coop est vraiment excellent, de pouvoir faire des parti avec des amis c'est cool.
    Le gameplay est vraiment bon et esthétiquement c'est propre.
    De loin le meilleur jeu du mois de juillet. J'en suis à presque 35 heures de jeu et je m'en lasse pas. Que ce soit solo ou coop. Et dire que ce jeu a été fait avec une équipe comptant seulement 12 personnes. Très    Qu'est ce que ce jeu est bon.     I want to put a positive review because I think people go in whit the wrong expectations. This game is a twin stick shooter whit rpg elements. I played 9 hours so far. Coop and solo, both experiences were pretty good. I encountered 1 bug (no sound needed restart game).

    Pros: - good visuals - fun combat - much choices whit customisation - story is good - I love how difficult the game can    I want to put a positive review because I think people go in whit the wrong expectations.     Cons: - minimap/map sucks a lot
    - no end game (I hope they will bring new game+)

    Tldr: a must buy, would rate 9/10 but give 10 because **** negative reviews imo    … Expand

    Look past the gorgeous graphics swarming with details and you end up with a formulaic, redundant, unoriginal and frankly boring (and dysfunctional) run of the mill twin stick shooter with a sluggish pace that fails to bring anything new to the table. You already played this game a thousand times, they just amped up the appearance.
    In one ear and out the other.

    I love this game, the art style and gameplay are awesome. Really recommended for frustrated fans of Cyberpunk 2077 . Red CD Project need to learn from indie studios how make great games .This game doesn't pretend to be AAA but it IS. Folks we need to support the indie game studios and show them respect for the hard work that they make. And for those suckers who give 0 score ...     Even if they ever fix all the bugs that will make you miserable (crashes, lost items, lost saves, bugged quests, ...) the game is simply not good. Let's ignore the story : unless you consider a bus ticket to be the pinnacle of storytelling, you'll ignore it pretty quickly. The map navigation is confusing.     Let's ignore the story : unless you consider a bus ticket to be the pinnacle of storytelling, you'll ignore it pretty quickly.

    The map navigation is confusing. Icons labeling a shop or quest don't tell you if what you are looking for is above or below. I got annoyed with this pretty quickly.
    For the quests though, there is a pathfinder. Alas, it will regularly require you do go through some impossible path and you'll still have to circle around to find your way.
    Most of the time the view is isometric, but sometimes it show you from the side or another very annoying angle.

    The encounters are very random and you will either go smoothly from point A to point B, or you will be attacked by mechas the size of the screen and damage-sponge enemies with way more levels than you. After your inescapable death, you'll re-spawn a few screens from there with barely any obstacle on your path ... or you'll die again a few times before you get "lucky".

    Another kind of random **** is when, during a "boss" fight, you get bounties spawning among the "normal" enemies. They are usually stronger and will make your fight more difficult.

    Speaking about fights, the combat system is lame. You have two weapons. You can roll-dodge a couple of times, with a cool-down. You can hide behind some obstacle and shoot over it, or below some stairs and cheese through enemies coming from above.
    Sometimes though there is no cover and you will simply die if you get swarmed by enemies.

    You could of course think about running around, followed by the enemies (in a word: kiting), dodge some of the damage and fire back. Alas, in good old-fashioned bad design, the enemies will soon rush back, invulnerable to attacks, and heal. You will not of course, guess what's next?

    One of the worst aspects is that the focus of protection for some damage types.
    You must equip an armor that will protect you against what your enemies are firing. If you don't, you are toast.
    But how do you decide what to focus on you ask?
    Simple, if an encounter kills you in a fraction of a second, change your armor focus to something else. Rinse and repeat as much as needed. It's bad design and, in my opinion, the opposite of fun.

    Another strictly not fun thing in this game is that, after pushing your way through enemies to reach a boss, you'll sometimes realize you simply cannot win and will need to leave, level up and try again.
    Yes the quest is recommended for 5 levels below you, it doesn't mean there aren't swarms of enemies 5 levels above you inside.

    Don't bother sparing "innocent" bystanders. They run to you during fights and you will be too busy trying to survive to ask yourself "is this guy rushing me an enemy or not?".
    You'll get complains from some alien but otherwise there is no consequences. This is just another minor annoyance of this game.

    Muy buen juego, me sigue gustando mucho extraño un multijugador con gente Random pero está bueno con amigos cada lugar que exploras es diferente con una gran iluminación y ambientación con un gran árbol de posibilidades , a los principiantes talvez les cueste entenderlo ya que tiene múltiples opciones

    Me ha sorprendido mucho, me esperaba muy poco y es un juego super entretenido, con un sistema de combate, unos gráficos y forma de mejorar el personaje que me ha gustado mucho, igual a la larga un poco repetitivo pero ha sido una grata sorpresa.

    The proposals of The ascent and his world are impressive. The essence of what a cyberpunk is is very well represented in the title

    The game is very much enjoyed in cooperative, since its gameplay lends itself to it, but playing it alone is not a negligible experience at all.

    Es un sólido 9. No hay preguntas al respecto.

    Un juego económico que ofrece una jugabilidad y una estética extremadamente hermosas, un mundo increíblemente inmersivo y mucha diversión. Cada detalle te dejará absolutamente atónito.

    En serio, es uno de los mejores juegos lanzados en mucho tiempo.

    Un juego cyberpunk bien hecho.

    Great fun. Have had a blast playing this over the last few days. Immersive environment to explore, satisfying gameplay loop shooting up the place and pumping sound track keep you going. Simple story but well acted dialogue keeps you engaged with it. It may tone perfect but irks the best game I’ve played in along while.

    Best game I have played this year. It has an issue here and there but they cannot take away from the fact that this game is Cyberpunk done right. The environments are amazing and the gameplay is frantic. violent and exhilarating.

    Graphics are stunning, i'm getting 120-160 fps on a 9900K and 3090 at 1440P. Best ARPG graphics i ever saw.
    Gamplay is amazing, lot's of missions/story's and side missions to do while the gunplay is challenging and ever evolving. Fun factor is a 10/10, don't let the bad reviews and trol "0" score reviews say otherwise. I've encountered only a    Great ARPG, and i've played alot of em.

    I've encountered only a few bugs up until now in the form of some stuttering during transportation cutscenes (metro and taxi). Other than that it's been smooth

    If you are a fan of dead nation (because that's what you should compare it with, NOT diablo) this is a must buy.
    Slight rpg elements elevate the whole game even more. Con i could think of is the armor that is not randomized. I would like to find a identical piece of armor but with different or better stats. Now the only thing you can do is sell the duplicate armor for Ucreds. Maybe this is something they can add/change later.

    Oh and for a game THIS amazing, look at the price. Puts many triple A developers to shame.    … Expand

    Man this game is bad Ass and so close to being Epic ,,except ,, it has the Game Pass cyrse. Its filled with jenk and bugs..
    The visuals , gunplay, progression, charter design is awsome. But the 3rd time you loose all you hard earned funds to a bugs , you cant help be pissed. Several time I bought an item and they took the money , but I never got the item.. Ive had several crashes and    Man this game is bad Ass and so close to being Epic ,,except ,, it has the Game Pass cyrse. Its filled with jenk and bugs..

    This is an incredibly average game with a very generic story and characters that live in a world that you have seen a million of times done before(but not done good). The gameplay is generic and incredibly easy due to the developers not thinking ahead of how easy it is to spam an RPG non stop since the game doesn't have an ammo system. The walking is the most annoying part and the fast travel system is pretty weak.I have also encountered a lot of bugs that ruin the game or make you restart the level because key enemies didn't respawn.Music and voice acting is fine and I did enjoy some of the aesthetic and city but it gets pretty boring fast. Avoid or buy on a huge discount is my suggestion.… Expand

    Great game, nice implementation of cyber punk world. The story could use work, menus, shooting mechanic's and cinematography could also use work. A bit buggy at launch but I'm sure they working on a patch. Keep it up guys

It's exactly what it needs to be, knows it and it thrives because of this. Did I mention is gorgeous? The Ascent really nails the art direction and level design. While many players complain about the map, I instead think the developers did never had the intention for us to play it following the map as we do with an open-world game. I think the map is something we could've done without, because having it has left a desire for more on it, when it's not entirely necessary. One con I have with the combat is that you could be walking down a hallway with no enemies, but when you encounter one up in front of you, enemies would spawn out of nowhere. So, if you backtrack a bit from where you came from, where there were no enemies before, you now, out of nowhere, may encounter several of them. This really makes no sense and it's a bit frustrating to me, because when I have many enemies in up front I'd like to be able to walk back to safety. I understand devs probably want me to keep moving, but I think there are other and better ways to accomplish that. Yet, my biggest complaint is the game's performance. The game stutters with effects, especially with explosions, to the point where is game breaking. Apparently as you play along it starts to perform better. But when you close and open the game again, it starts with the struggles. I've also encountered a few bugs here and there. For example, Bosses and some battle arenas have a cinematic, but if you skip these too quickly the enemies would not load properly, making you have to restart the game. I've also encountered an issue where I quit to the main menu and the game would not recognize any inputs from my controller nor keyboard, so I have to force alt-f4 to quit the game instead of through the menu. There's a bit of polishing that needs to be made but this game is a true gem, in my opinion. Is one of the coolest games I've played this year and I can't wait for the devs to expand on it with, possibly, new game modes and content.… Expand

    The Ascent provides you with a unique opportunity to visit the not-so-distant dystopic future of our world in an action-packed manner and also in a graphically astonishing way. Its various possibilities of character creation allow for a unique playthrough and replayablity.

    The Ascent has an excellent shooting experience and is great for playing with friends. However, apart from "shooting another wave of enemies", the game can bring very limited fun. The dull story and gameplay will easily bore you in this cyberpunk world.
