    Best game of 2021 so far. The cyberpunk visuals and aesthetic are FANTASTIC and are complemented greatly by the developer's efficient use of UE4. CDPR could only dream about making night city this beautiful.

    The combat is fun and fluid. There is a great variety of skills, augments, weapons and gear. And unlike CP77, you can actually customize your character by going to a surgeon.     Albeit the game is fairy short, it's still a great experience and as it was made by a small indie team of less than 12 people, I'd say this is quite the achievement.

    Great fun. Have had a blast playing this over the last few days. Immersive environment to explore, satisfying gameplay loop shooting up the place and pumping sound track keep you going. Simple story but well acted dialogue keeps you engaged with it. It may tone perfect but irks the best game I’ve played in along while.

    Bestes Spiel, das ich dieses Jahr gespielt habe. Es gibt hier und da ein Problem, aber sie können nicht davon abhalten, dass dieses Spiel Cyberpunk richtig gemacht hat. Die Umgebungen sind fantastisch und das Gameplay ist hektisch. heftig und aufregend.

    Un juego económico que ofrece una jugabilidad y una estética extremadamente hermosas, un mundo increíblemente inmersivo y mucha diversión. Cada detalle te dejará absolutamente atónito.

    En serio, es uno de los mejores juegos lanzados en mucho tiempo.

    Un juego cyberpunk bien hecho.

    Me ha sorprendido mucho, me esperaba muy poco y es un juego super entretenido, con un sistema de combate, unos gráficos y forma de mejorar el personaje que me ha gustado mucho, igual a la larga un poco repetitivo pero ha sido una grata sorpresa.

    The Ascent is a gorgeous game that knows exactly what it is. Doesn't complicate things just for the sake of "More" and isn't simplistic just for the sake of "Less." It's exactly what it needs to be, knows it and it thrives because of this. Did I mention is gorgeous? The Ascent really nails the art direction and level design. While many players complain about the map, I instead think theThe Ascent is a gorgeous game that knows exactly what it is. Doesn't complicate things just for the sake of "More" and isn't simplistic just for the sake of "Less." It's exactly what it needs to be, knows it and it thrives because of this. Did I mention is gorgeous? The Ascent really nails the art direction and level design. While many players complain about the map, I instead think the developers did never had the intention for us to play it following the map as we do with an open-world game. I think the map is something we could've done without, because having it has left a desire for more on it, when it's not entirely necessary. One con I have with the combat is that you could be walking down a hallway with no enemies, but when you encounter one up in front of you, enemies would spawn out of nowhere. So, if you backtrack a bit from where you came from, where there were no enemies before, you now, out of nowhere, may encounter several of them. This really makes no sense and it's a bit frustrating to me, because when I have many enemies in up front I'd like to be able to walk back to safety. I understand devs probably want me to keep moving, but I think there are other and better ways to accomplish that. Yet, my biggest complaint is the game's performance. The game stutters with effects, especially with explosions, to the point where is game breaking. Apparently as you play along it starts to perform better. But when you close and open the game again, it starts with the struggles. I've also encountered a few bugs here and there. For example, Bosses and some battle arenas have a cinematic, but if you skip these too quickly the enemies would not load properly, making you have to restart the game. I've also encountered an issue where I quit to the main menu and the game would not recognize any inputs from my controller nor keyboard, so I have to force alt-f4 to quit the game instead of through the menu. There's a bit of polishing that needs to be made but this game is a true gem, in my opinion. Is one of the coolest games I've played this year and I can't wait for the devs to expand on it with, possibly, new game modes and content.… Expand

    If you ever played Smash TV back in the day... this feels like an unofficial homage/sequel updated for 2021. Game is absolutely beautiful but the gameplay just feels too pretty simple. Not a whole lot to do in this world aka quests or even npc's to talk to. Barely feels like an rpg. Sadly it feels like the graphics/design is the only thing holding the game together enough to play throughIf you ever played Smash TV back in the day... this feels like an unofficial homage/sequel updated for 2021.     Very good game, I still like a multiplayer with Random people very much, but it is good with friends, each place you explore is different with great lighting and setting with a large tree of possibilities, beginners may find it difficult to understand it since it has multiple options

    It's a wonder to play. I'm really having a lot of fun doing so. Highly recommended, give it a shot and you won't regret it, the only thing you would regret is that you didn't tried it since launch!

    Ótimo jogo. Os gráficos são excelentes para um atirador de dois stick. A jogabilidade é viciante, mas pode ser repetitiva. Definitivamente, vale a pena dar uma olhada, especialmente se você tiver Gamepass.

    Jogo de drogas. Mundo superdetalhado, bons efeitos sonoros e eu absolutamente amo a atmosfera do punk cibernético. Este mundo é irreal. Deveria ter sido o mundo usado em Cyberpunk 2077. Normalmente não fique louco com atiradores de stick duplo, mas este é definitivamente bem feito.

    Amazing Soundtrack.

    The Story was pretty good, got me really hooked and was satisfied by the ending.
    Seen a few people put it down since they don't like how much swearing there is? i didn't even really notice it tbh. Dialogue felt mostly natural to me, like that's how real people in these situations would probably talk to each other.
    There is a fair amount of "technobabble" but again, it's from characters who i felt would talk that way.

    This isn't a live service cashcow, so no there isn't an "endgame". I would very much like more content for this game though.

    Did i mention how gorgeous it looks?

    I've maybe had the game crash to ue4 crash reporter twice in that whole time, not the bug riddled mess that others seem to be reporting.
    Only other noticeable bugs ive had were the weapon skins i had unlocked disappeared for a time, leaving me with only default.
    Sometimes when you try to start shooting again while reloading, it can mess up and not actually reload the gun, quickly got used to this and isn't really an issue if you spec for fast reloads anyway.

    Co-op quest progress does not seem to carry over, e.g if you complete a quest in someone else's game, it doesn't seem to count as you completing it, which is a shame.

    Overall, this might be my game of the year.
    But then it's not had much competition, so that may not be the most affirming statement.    … Expand

    Ok, now about the content. This game is NOT and RPG. You can kick and scream all you want, but it's not a real RPG, it's just a top-down shooter with some minor RPG elements. If you think this game is an RPG, then you probably think Farcry 3 is an RPG too, so I don't know what to tell you.
    The RPG elements refer only to character creation and the barebones stat allocation system upon leveling up.
    There are no expansive dialogues, no multiple ways to solve a quest, no changes to the world depending on your choices, no relationships with certain characters, no followers, nothing that makes an RPG what it is.
    The NPCs are also extremely forgettable.

    Also this is not a Diablo-like game either. The item drops are very scarce and they don't have randomized stats and qualities. The only thing random about the loot is which NPC will drop that standard gun or armor that all the shops in the game have. Although you can upgrade weapons to epic quality, using a currency in the game.
    Also there are some secret special weapon locations, that give you some stronger than average weapons.

    The game world is absolutely insanely detailed. There was a whole lot of attention put in creating the backgrounds, perhaps too much. Every backdrop is incredibly detailed and atmospheric.
    The sound is right on point as well.
    The story is serviceble, it won't blow your mind but it's not stupid either.

    All in all, this is most definitely above average for an indie game and you should totally get it.

    PS: Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but considering this is "current year" and the country of origin for the developers, it seems someone went out of their way to avoid any R34 content. The NPCs are...pretty damn ugly to say the least, even Kira, the only NPC who was interesting enough to probably inspire such material, looks like wearing a sumo costume.    … Expand

    The writing is horrendous, dialogues feel stiff and awkward, no one talks like this.

    Until this game is updated (and game pass version requires additional updates for completely missing features that steam version has) it is simple a fun game that has major issues.

I know it is a small team but that doesn't change anything. This game needs matchmaking.

    Releasing a product on multiple store fronts, and having different feature sets in them is also just plain bad. This should never be done. The game is not ready to release if you are holding back features on any store front.

    Significant updates could raise this game up to a really fun coop romp. Especially seeing as it is on game pass. Until then. It's ok, but frustrating to play.    … Expand

    Um bom jogo, excelentes gráficos e boa jogabilidade. Tem alguns problemas com a mira alta, mas no mais, um ótimo game, principalmente considerando que foi desenvolvido por 12 pessoas. Vale a pena conferir.

    I love this game, the art style and gameplay are awesome. Really recommended for frustrated fans of Cyberpunk 2077 . Red CD Project need to learn from indie studios how make great games .This game doesn't pretend to be AAA but it IS. Folks we need to support the indie game studios and show them respect for the hard work that they make. And for those suckers who give 0 score ...     Me gusta como se ve el juego. Las ciudades de ven vivas hay muchos NPC misiones secundarias el sistema de juego es más para jugar con teclado y ratón aunque con el control también se puede jugar muy bien, los gráficos está muy impresionantes se merece un 8.5 pero como hay muchos Hates que solo ponen 0 porque si y nunca lo an tocado... le podré un 10

    Um jogo magnífico. Gráficos incríveis. Cenários destrutiveis. Mtos inimigos na tela. Um mundo aberto caprichado e com muitos npcs. Trilha sonora maravilhosa e uma temática cyberpunk incrivel. Parece que tô jogando Blade runner.

    Graphics are stunning, i'm getting 120-160 fps on a 9900K and 3090 at 1440P. Best ARPG graphics i ever saw.
    Gamplay is amazing, lot's of missions/story's and side missions to do while the gunplay is challenging and ever evolving. Fun factor is a 10/10, don't let the bad reviews and trol "0" score reviews say otherwise. I've encountered only a    Great ARPG, and i've played alot of em.

    If you are a fan of dead nation (because that's what you should compare it with, NOT diablo) this is a must buy.
    Slight rpg elements elevate the whole game even more. Con i could think of is the armor that is not randomized. I would like to find a identical piece of armor but with different or better stats. Now the only thing you can do is sell the duplicate armor for Ucreds. Maybe this is something they can add/change later.

    Oh and for a game THIS amazing, look at the price. Puts many triple A developers to shame.    … Expand

    Best game I have played this year. It has an issue here and there but they cannot take away from the fact that this game is Cyberpunk done right. The environments are amazing and the gameplay is frantic. violent and exhilarating.

    The proposals of The ascent and his world are impressive. The essence of what a cyberpunk is is very well represented in the title

    The game is very much enjoyed in cooperative, since its gameplay lends itself to it, but playing it alone is not a negligible experience at all.

    Muy buen juego, me sigue gustando mucho extraño un multijugador con gente Random pero está bueno con amigos cada lugar que exploras es diferente con una gran iluminación y ambientación con un gran árbol de posibilidades , a los principiantes talvez les cueste entenderlo ya que tiene múltiples opciones

    I want to put a positive review because I think people go in whit the wrong expectations. This game is a twin stick shooter whit rpg elements. I played 9 hours so far. Coop and solo, both experiences were pretty good. I encountered 1 bug (no sound needed restart game).

    Pros: - good visuals - fun combat - much choices whit customisation - story is good - I love how difficult the game can    I want to put a positive review because I think people go in whit the wrong expectations.     Man this game is bad Ass and so close to being Epic ,,except ,, it has the Game Pass cyrse. Its filled with jenk and bugs..
    The visuals , gunplay, progression, charter design is awsome. But the 3rd time you loose all you hard earned funds to a bugs , you cant help be pissed. Several time I bought an item and they took the money , but I never got the item..     It's a solid 9. No questions about it.

    A cheap game that offers extremely beautiful gameplay, aesthetics, an incredibly immersive world and lots of fun. Every detail will leave you absolutely stunned.

    It is seriously one of the best games released in a very long time.

    A cyberpunk game done right.

    It looks and sounds like a great game while you start playing it. It plays like a good game until the bugs start appearing. It already seems like a not so great game when you have to reload a save for the first time because somethings not working as it should. That's when the next 15 minutes of the game begin.

And the amount of gear isn't great so far, I'm level 11, you mostly pick up duplicates of guns.. seems a little too cookie cutter.. the character creation lacks a lot, no classes, no tech tree, just leveling up and picking from certain stats.. Honestly it's a decent game.. But I don't know what all the hype is about.. Cyberpunk is much betterThis game is ok, but it's a little repetitive..     Es un juego con muy buenos gráficos e iluminación, pero su gameplay se hace repetitivo, aburrido, tiene problemas con la altura de disparos, su historia es aburrida, los enemigos se mueven mas rápido que el personaje(lo cual me parece estúpido para este tipo de juego), y tiene problemas de rendimiento(cuando hay muchas explosiones los fps bajan a 15)y tuve 3 crasheos.

    le doy 4 solo por estar hecho por 12 personas. sino, sería menos. no habilita el DLSS no hay diferencias en RT muchos bugs graficos y no tiene historia entretenida. la jugabilidad es apenas correcta. peca de querer ser dificil, sin apelar a la iA sino, limitando las habilidades del personaje.

    Dope game. Super detailed world, nice sound effects, and I absolutely love the cyber punk atmosphere. This world is unreal. Should have been the world used in Cyberpunk 2077. Don't usually go crazy over twin stick shooters but this one is definitely well made.

    The game is amazing I don't understand the reviews. I played 10hours already and its such a nice break from 3rd person action adventures and fps games. The game just is insane for the fact that only 12 people made it. Brovo

    Great game, nice implementation of cyber punk world. The story could use work, menus, shooting mechanic's and cinematography could also use work. A bit buggy at launch but I'm sure they working on a patch. Keep it up guys

    No está totalmente pulido para consolas y no incorpora características como quick resume.

    Una experiencia totalmente increíble, una sorpresa a nivel técnica que nunca me lo habría esperado, entiendo a las personas que no les llama la atención ya que si este juego lo pulieran seria 1000 veces mejor pero realmente fue una genial experiencia.

    The Ascent provides you with a unique opportunity to visit the not-so-distant dystopic future of our world in an action-packed manner and also in a graphically astonishing way. Its various possibilities of character creation allow for a unique playthrough and replayablity.

    The Ascent has an excellent shooting experience and is great for playing with friends. However, apart from "shooting another wave of enemies", the game can bring very limited fun. The dull story and gameplay will easily bore you in this cyberpunk world.
