Mar 21, 2022The best way I can describe The Alien Cube is a very thin slice from an authentic Lovecraftian pie. It doesn’t entirely look the part, but you’ll take a bite and know exactly what you’re sinking your teeth into and probably end up reminded why you love this flavor of horror. From the surreal environments to the indescribable horrors after your blood, it’s the stuff known and loved by the Lovecraft community. Be warned though, that while the flavor tastes the part, The Alien Cube‘s optimization issues and occasionally lacking gameplay can make it tough to swallow. That said, if you can forgive a few missteps and have a hankering for hellish horrors, it’s worth digging into – especially when you consider its asking price.

Jan 5, 2022The Alien Cube is not a perfect product, but it is impossible not to evaluate it taking into consideration both its budget price (19.99 euros on Steam), and the fact that it was developed by only one person. If you are willing to turn a blind eye to poor quality dubbing and some imperfection that involves both the gameplay and the technical sector, this game will guarantee you a handful of hours of fun in a world that any fan of H. P. Lovecraft would love to madness.

Oct 29, 2021Being made by a solo developer The Alien Cube shows remarkable talent from Alessandro Guzzo in his ability to deliver high quality sceneries, accompanied with a well-thought sound design. It may only be three hours long, but at the same time provides a complete story that could very well be a part of an anthology of Lovecraftian stories.
