Oct 1, 2024That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicles is a fun enough sidescrolling adventure with some city-building elements thrown in, but is let down by a lacklustre execution, repetitive combat, and a relatively high price.

A relatively static presentation and repetitive combat system make this a difficult entry point for series newcomers, while fans of the series may question some of the design choices as missed opportunities to fully translate Rimuru’s adventure from page to screen.

Aug 28, 2024That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime ISEKAI Chronicle had everything going for it, with a rich licence, powerful lore and a interesting cast. In itself, it's far from being a bad game, but there were surely better things to do on a number of points, and in the end it leaves you with a mixed feeling, with a sense of going round in circles after the first few hours and less than optimal progression.
