    I love the board game. But this excuse of a PC game is quite frankly an insult. I never expected great deeds from the AI. But its worse than useless. It spams power, only really terraforms heat, never places oceans etc. Its worse than useless. Its unplayable. Its only saving grace is that the online play works.     Wanneer je enkel een offline speler bent en gewoon graag een solo spel speelt of tegen de pc speelt is Terraforming Mars ok. Wanneer je echter ook online wilt spelen loopt er toch van alles mis. De tijd die krijgt om een actie te doen blijft door tikken wanneer je nog niks kan doen. Een match vinden is niet evident.     This is a quite good adaptation of the board game. There are still some problems with the AI (if you claim the thermalist award, no one terraforms heat anymore-the game can go on for quite a while), but a great AI would be too much of a contrast with the mistakes human players (such as I) make when playing against them, so... it's ok.

    That’s this boardgame port in a nutshell: an incomplete effort stripped of personality and then a door slammed shut before you can admire your work.

    Terraforming Mars is a great strategy challenge with huge replay value. But, while pretty and convenient, this adaptation currently has too many rough edges to recommend.
