    Adds some cool new gameplay features, like the ability to hot-swap between the four turtles. However, the biggest glaring problems in the first game (weak AI, bland levels and repetitive gameplay) rear their ugly heads this time around, as well.

    Even though the action is stiff, the animation poor and the controls occasionally not as responsive as I'd like, I'm able to overlook it simply because there aren't too many four-player co-op action games out there, let alone ones with platforming elements generously incorporated into the mix - but I'd never play it solo.     It quickly degenerates into as absurd a mess as four turtles that are supposed to be ninjas with a rat for a sensei sounds like on paper. As Michelangelo might say, "cowabunga dudes, this is one gnarly game wreck."

    The first turtles game for the 2003 series was pretty good, the controls were a bit sloppy, but there wasn't a lot of platforming and itThe first turtles game for the 2003 series was pretty good, the controls were a bit sloppy, but there wasn't a lot of platforming and it worked OK, but people were upset because all the old '80s Turtles games had been really fun multiplayer games. So what did they do? Instead of fixing the clumsy controls, they ADDED @#$@ING PLATFORMING!!! Are you freaking kidding me? What you end up with is a train wreck of a game which is basically many, many, many short little tiny levels. You can play multiplayer, but if you're solo you're stuck changing turtles with a toggle button. The only thing making much of it playable is that you have more time to deal with the bad controls because the AI is garbage. Mostly enemies just stand around and wait for you to come near them. Turtles 3 became more of a X-men Legends type game and ended up way better than this. So to reiterate, buy pretty much any turtles game (other than maybe Mutant Melee) and you'll have a better experience. I finish 99% of the games I buy and this one has been sitting in my bookcase unfinished for half a decade. Avoid!… Expand
