I'm not a fan of roguelite progression, but Synthetik has deep enough gameplay to justify it. Mechanically it's superior to other top-down shooters, but the RPG elements with the 8 different classes with their own unique mechanics makes it even better, and allows you to approach the game at your own pace. And because it's more skill-based, I feel Synthetik is the most forgiving roguelite I've played which is a good thing. It's lots of fun with minimal frustration. I was surprised how easy it was not only to learn the controls but also understand the mechanics intuitively due to the feedback from the amazing audiovisual design. In particular Synthetik has a remarkable visual aesthetic. It contrasts the highly detailed, futuristic military setting, with bright pastel colors which gives it a minimalistic, modern art kind of look.

So in summary it's an all-around excellent game in terms of gameplay, controls, graphics, and sound. It's very approachable, it has a lot of content, and it has multiplayer co-op.

    the Best game ever!
    - Amazing graphics, sound.
    - Awesome UI and weapons, items...
    - they separate the reloading action into 2 parts, eject ammo clip and reload. Brilliant idea.

A smartly designed Twinstick Roguelite with tactical gameplay, fun classes, motivating meta progression and an awesome weapons system.

I'd give it a 9, but that 1-point review from a user who gave Dishonored 2 a 1, Dark Souls II a 2, Hollow Knight a 4 and The Witness a 4 needs to be countered.

The game with interesting ideas. Basically, features mechanics of reload. It have place for hardcore and repetitive in gameplay of roguelike games. Pretty for eyes visual style. I'm still enjoying the game and will more, i think.

WE NEED REMAPING of CONTOLLER IN THE GAME. PLEASE.

Synthetik is a roguelike - and that'll turn some people off immediately. It's a twin-stick shooter with tactical elements, with eight RPG-style classes to and over 100 guns to choose from. No story or dedicated level design, no characters to get attached to, just you, your guns, and the armies of murderous androids between you and where you need to be. The gameplay is tightly-designed and polished to a shine, with lots of variety in weapons, skills, items, enemies, and chances of success. I recommend you pick up the free version, Synthetik: Arena, first though - again, this game isn't for everyone, but it's good to step out of your comfort zone every now and then. But if you find yourself with more longing for the crucible of battle, pick up Legion Rising and blast through Kaida Corporation with the rest of us! Expand

    the Worst game ever!
    - Boring graphics, sound.
    - Awkward UI and weapons, items...
    - Why they separate the reloading action into 2 parts, eject ammo clip and reload. Stupid idea.

Gunplay, upgrades, classes, artstyle, bossfights and a lot more. There is a lot to return for in Synthetik. It's masterful execution of a roguelite with tactical elements. Highly recommended to all fans of the genre or people who like experiencing all kinds of games.

Highly recommended to anyone who has never had their balls waxed and wants to experience the feeling, you'll often feel something similar when playing this game.

The combat is satisfying, it takes some time to learn, but once you get a hang of it, you'll be styling on the enemies. Everything is pretty tight, and if you die, you know why - no bullcrap, you screw up, you die, you do well,

The combat is satisfying, it takes some time to learn, but once you get a hang of it, you'll be styling on the enemies. Everything is pretty tight, and if you die, you know why - no bullcrap, you screw up, you die, you do well, you slaughter everything. There's lots of options - different classes with different modifiers, which you can also swap around to tailor the character exactly like you want it, loads of guns, all of them useful one way or another, you have the option to tailor the difficulty with a variety of options pretty much all of which have an impact on how you will be able to engage enemies (not just easy/normal/hard/very hard meaning more hp for the enemies or some such crap) etc.

Graphics are great. It's not a technical marvel, but the style of the game is awesome, the various effects and the trails of carnage you leave along the locations as you slaughter your way through will make you feel satisfied, the simple and clear GUI is very fitting, easy to navigate and use.

Sound design is great overall, weapons sound punchy, the distorted electronic voices of your enemies are fitting, there is a variety of sound and musical cues that you will pick up really quickly, but music is a bit too bland and subdued overall, which is a damn shame and possibly the only weak point of the game.

Anyways, I'm not even close with being done with the game, looks to have some 100 hours of content, perhaps even more, so if you are into the €/hour thing, this is a great value proposition.

i love this game, the extreme variety of enemies, weapons, and usable items makes every run unique and even after 100+ hours there are still items and guns i have never seen. not even counting the different variants of guns....Imagine borderlands but not filled with gross characters and bad humor.

I'm taking a point off only for the last boss the "last defender" because even after

I'm taking a point off only for the last boss the "last defender" because even after beating that thing multiple times it is a huge net negative on the late game. imagine a game full of cool items but you can't pick some of them because the last boss is so hard it requires specific playstyles, it conflicts with the rest of the game and is ultimately bad design.

Долго не мог определиться между 7 и 8, но тут скорее 7.
Первое впечатление - сложное, второе - увлекательно, третье - как то однообразно.

A tightly designed, fast-paced, top-down roguelite, Synthetik will no doubt entertain for hours. With the release of the new Legion Rising free update, there’s even more to enjoy.

This shooter is a pretty good surprise, since it adds some unexpected tactic elements to the gameplay to offer an interesting and not-so-arcade experience.
