I can't recommend this game for advanced players on Tactics and RPG games, its easy, lack of any strategy or great history context, for obvious reasons, its a mix of various anime mecha characters on generic missions that at some point will fight against their usual enemy, with a tons of dialog (maybe take more time in this that in battle) and beautiful animations scenes in battle, nutI can't recommend this game for advanced players on Tactics and RPG games, its easy, lack of any strategy or great history context, for obvious reasons, its a mix of various anime mecha characters on generic missions that at some point will fight against their usual enemy, with a tons of dialog (maybe take more time in this that in battle) and beautiful animations scenes in battle, nut that's is all.

If you are a fan of mecha animes in general, and don't want a truly strategy game go for it, if you don't, you'll be very disappointed.

A really great game, with insane animated cinematics during big robots attacks, anime openings of classical Robot animes, A masterpiece.

This is the 30 year’s anniversary game of the super robot wars series. I was hoping for more mechs from more animes.

As an old fan, I have been many Super Robot Wars game since PS1. This anniversary edition adds few new mechanics, story is pretty long, I would say this is not the best in the franchise but definitely worth my time.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game is for mecha enthusiasts and SRPG fans. Fair warning: check the series list. If you’re exclusively a fan of say, Evangelion, then this may not be the title for you, but you shouldn’t write it off – it’s still an excellent game.

As a fan of SRW since 2007/2008. I highly recommend this game to newcomers. A lot of awesome mecha anime IP's and some Toku stuff (like Ultraman and Gridman) are involved. Easy to get into, the game explains how everything works in all the guides supplied in-game, Difficulty Levels are allowed to be changed in the intermission screen if the players would like to make it more challenging or more relaxed depending on thier playstyle, Story overall gives a great expierence for players to be involved in. Animations for battle scenes are fairly good, though I will be honest some of the previous games have had a little better, but nothing to really harm the gameplay expierence. I would also like to point out, this game gives great information about each series IP in the game, and helps give possible intrest to players to learn more about the IPs involved. Theme songs of every IP is present in the game, so players are able to have a kind of nestalgia feel with some of the shows they may have grown up with. Again I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves mecha or who loves strategy games in general. Expand

SRW 30 has a huge amount of content and is the biggest game in the series with 200-300 unique stages, the several possibilities of stage choices and customization allow for several ways to play and replay the game. For newcomers the game has several difficulty levels and can be very easy.
The stages are shorter than in previous games, but more rewarding, overall despite the large amount

Overall, Super Robot Wars 30 is a good addition to the series for fans of the previous titles. While it may not be the type of game I would play that doesn’t stop me from appreciating the hard work that has been put into it. From the graphics to the audio and the story, it plays like an anime story that you play through.

Overall, Super Robot Wars 30 is an excellent tribute to the 30th anniversary of the series. The new mission setup is a bit daunting at first but works well on multiple playthroughs and with the new DLC. Considering the challenges the development team must have faced during the pandemic to get this game done, it’s remarkable how well it all turned out.
