    Качественный геймплей, но слабый нарратив.
    Играется очень весело и интересно, но пресная история не даёт прочувствовать мир на все 100.
    Слом четвертой стены хоть и вытягивает всё это, но не полностью. Думаю, свежее выглядеть проекту помог бы рейтинг R (18+), а не тот что есть у игры сейчас. Иногда создавалось впечатление, что приходилось играть за зацензуренную версию Дэдпула. Хоть    Качественный геймплей, но слабый нарратив.

    Хоть персонаж мне в целом импонировал, но во встроенном дополнении про Бриллиантина он всё же умудряется немного разочаровать, ляпнув одну максимально дегенеративную фразу, а точнее утверждение. Понимаю, что это возможно часть лора, но по уху резануло конкретно. Короче говоря, ляпнул он, что астрономия и астрология - одна фигня.
    У проекта есть свои субъективные недостатки, но всё же игруха получилась весьма годной.
    Видно откуда у Человека-Паука от Sony ноги растут.

Unfortunately, Sunset Overdrive takes too long to provide the abilities needed to make traversal fun AND functional. The game rarely backs down from its constantly intense pace, which has the effect of causing the high points to feel even more mindlessly repetitive. It's exhausting.

    The world is a bright and saturated playground built to bounce, grind, and blast your way through endless hordes of enemies and stunt challenges. A self-aware story drives the chaotic gameplay, but the non-stop jokes and cliches wear thin long before your character unlocks the basic abilities necessary to make combat and traversal less of a chore. The soundtrack and voice-acting are actually pretty good, but can't save the game from tripping all over itself in terms of mechanics and flow. Some bits feel overly designed, while others seem like afterthoughts that were tacked-on to a collection of common tropes to artificially extend what should be a much shorter experience.

    SO can be really fun--with enough stimulants and in short doses--but it was clearly targeting the forerunners of the TikTok generation as its audience. The PC port is also lacking basic polish and refinement, yet I encountered no major issues in my time with it.

    All these years, i thought that I had missed out on an Insomniac gem, but it turns out that it was mostly hype. Not bad, just mediocre.    … Expand

    This is a rare game that many Playstation Fans will probably never experience, I am surprised that this game has so much charm and so many fun systems taken from Ratchet and Clank for an XBOX and PC exclusive.

    While I have not entirely Finished the game, from the few hours I've played, it's been a long time since I I actually enjoyed a bit of a challenge with fun gameplay.     This game with some technical problems at the moment is an 8/10, this is quality. This game is what I call a modern Parody of Video Games, clearly Insomniac wanted to make a game that parodies not only the development of Video games, the way games are these days, with some little nudges at real-life stuff that happens but they also wanted to wrap it up in a fun world that makes you actually enjoy killing enemies for no apparent reason, The OD hordes are indeed fun.

    This is a game that needs a Sequel, PlayStation should really look into Insomniac doing a Sequel for this game, this is their strength. The game reminds me of the Franchises that Insomniac is known for.
    If not a Sequel then how about a Resistance game or a new IP, with that horde system?

    Sure Spider-Man and The Wolverine game is gonna be awesome but let Insomniac just go back to what they are known for, for just a bit, so they can combine that Horror, Fun, and Insomniac Magic into a new IP.

    Maybe one-day Insomniac will combine everything they learned once more into a great Parody of Videogames, until then I'll enjoy my time with this. This game is truly Rad.    … Expand

    1. Увликательный геймплей стиль игры.
    2. Хороший юмор - отмосфера, +Смешные персонажи.
    3. Очень много побочных заданий и квестов.
    4. Графика, особенно на 2014, такую графику очень приятно видить, особенно работа с освищением, физика, ефекты: воды, пыли, освещение и тд. Не скажышь что игре почти 9 ЛЕТ!!!
    5. Открытий мир и его обитатили, куча интересных мест чтобы не заскучать!
    6, Искуственный интилект, в этой игре хорошо проработан ИИ персонажей, НО всётаки не хватает разновидности противников и тд. А так всё с ИИ и Противниками хорошо)
    7. Отличный музыкальный саунтрек, и энбиэнд. Музыка даёт нам максимальное погружение в мир "Sunset Overdrive".
    Ну а теперь минусы.
    1. Плохое - не самое лучшое управление на клава-мыши.
    2. Баги, и вылеты на новых видеокартах, ВНИМАНИЕ! Только на АМД видюхах!
    3. Разлом 4ой стены, нуу так себе недостаток.

    Sunset Overdrive в 2023 -2024 Отличная игра чтобы почуствывать вайб, или просто получить удовольствия от происходящива.

    Das Spiel ist echt genial und auf einem Level mit Saints Row!

    Das Grinden, Bouncen und Co mag am Anfang etwas ungewohnt sein, aber es kommt auch einfach drauf an permanent in Bewegung zu bleiben, man gewöhnt sich da auch schnell dran. Die Story ist so verrückt wie in Saints Row, sau viele Anspielungen auf alles mögliche wie in Borderlands z.B. und dein Charakter spricht die ganze Zeit,    Das Spiel ist echt genial und auf einem Level mit Saints Row!

    Die Story ist so verrückt wie in Saints Row, sau viele Anspielungen auf alles mögliche wie in Borderlands z.B. und dein Charakter spricht die ganze Zeit, entweder mit dir um einem Tipps zu geben, dass man auch Schnellreisen kann oder kommentiert irgendwas z.B. "nein das geht nicht, dann würde das Spiel abstürzen" und gerade das ist so genial, unser Spielcharakter weiß, der Sie/Er in einem Spiel ist und bei gefährlichen Missionen kommt dann mal der Spruch "kein Problem, also ich kann einfach respawnen".

    Es gibt auch sau viele Waffen, die alle besonders und natürlich total verrückt sind, man wird die ganze Zeit bespaßt und es wird tatsächlich nie langweilig, liegt wohl auch daran, dass sich das Spiel sehr schnell spielt, aber das ist doch geil, oder? :D    … Expand

    I have been playing this game non-stop for 2 months now and still can't get enough of it. Everything from the arcade-like gameplay and fun storytelling is good and entertaining. All the environments are full of color and the simplest task of even walking around is enjoyable (something like Spiderman type of enjoyable.)
    The loading screens are fast, the gameplay is fast and even spawning    I have been playing this game non-stop for 2 months now and still can't get enough of it.     Even if you lose progress by mistakenly falling from a building, it will not make you run all the way back up, but a portal opens up and you are back where you were (In the main story missions only.)
    If you have a low tolerance like me at videogames and want to walk straight into the action and not wait around for the game to explain itself, this game is for you.    … Expand

Except for web swinging, It has all the mechanics like wallrunning, pole swinging and super jump as its made by the same developers, Insomniac Games. The open world is filled with challenges, platforms to jump on and collectibles.     The most coolest game of the 21st century. If you like Deadpool, Spiderman, Borderlands, Punk Rock music, then this game is definitely for you.

    Мне она понравилась, прошел дня за 4, прямо на одном дыхании.
    В игре отдельной похвалы заслуживает юмор, он тут отличный, шутейки то тут, то там проскакивают постоянно, как раз из-за юмора, мне было интересно слушать буквально каждый диалог! И главное, юмор тут отлично вплетён в сюжет, он полностью уместен (разработчикам новых ассасинов стоило бы поучиться), любят тут и разрушать    Мне она понравилась, прошел дня за 4, прямо на одном дыхании.

    Из вышесказанного, можно сделать вывод, что юмор-это единственное чем цепляет игра, но это не так, механика передвижения по городу очень хорошо сделана, она создаёт динамичный геймплей, который не надоедает до самого конца, стрельба из оружия приятная (хотя из-за свей криворукости в игре на геймпаде, я иногда мазал прям в упор, но не суть),
    сами оружия нескучные, и варьируются от абсолютно обычных до мега-упоротых.

    Вывод: игра весёлая сатира над собой и другими экш-играми, скучно не будет, я рекомендую!!!    … Expand

    The gameplay like previously stated is by far the best element of this game, being fast, responsive, and most importantly fun, and the creators knew this, to the point that this is a fundamental aspect of the game that they keep intact for the entire game, so instead of making bosses that force the player to wait and bite their time, they have created enemies and main threats that will change the way you have to manivor, whether that is switching from one tactic to another or having to get higher up to avoid larger lethal ground enemies. The game doesn’t bog down it’s premise with useless filler, rather going for a compact package that respects your time. Collectibles do reside around the world, but by the end of the game I had already collected 70% so I feel it is much less tedious to collect all them then many other games with collectibles like these. All of this rings true for most of the game, until you reach the DLC, which as well as a difficulty spike, (which doesn’t mean much tbh) there is also a diversion from the main gameplay, and throws in gimmicks that seem to divert from the main consistent fast pace that the game normally holds.

    The Music as well as the atmosphere is energized and complements the gameplay in how active and lively it is, mainly composed of rock music that always fits so nicely to the gameplay. It is nothing that will be counted as “beautiful” but suits the game well.

    The Presentation still holds up, thanks to its many visual gags, and vibrant color palette that accentuate the cast of characters. The game visually still looks great, and heavily leans into the comic book/cartoon aesthetic at times which gives it it’s personality amongst other shooters that have gone mainly grey and flavorless. I will say this game has a personality, and is clearly very tongue and cheek about curtain aspects of it's own design which I found very enjoyable.

    Sunset Overdrive is a 8/10, even with frustrating problems appearing in the DLC missions as well as a few of the main quests feeling too similar to some of the previous, I still believe it’s worth every cent, and I plan on returning to this game in the future.    … Expand

    It's rare to see a game with just so much EFFORT put into it. It's a game that really feels like it was made by people who play games.     The game lives and dies on it's movement controls, so if you aren't into that then you will probably be disappointed.     Когда эксклюзивы стали выходить на PC, покупать Xbox One желание отпало совсем. Но ждать пришлось 4 года!
    И вот игра всё же вышла на Win10, там я её и прошел. Скажу сразу,    Sunset Overdrive очень странная игра, конкретно для меня. Как у 99% населения планеты в 2014 году у меня не было Xbox One. По этому эту игру впервые, я увидел конечно на YouTube. И она мне ужасно понравилась!
    Когда эксклюзивы стали выходить на PC, покупать Xbox One желание отпало совсем. Но ждать пришлось 4 года!
    И вот игра всё же вышла на Win10, там я её и прошел.
    Скажу сразу, удовольствие было испорчено невозможностью игры загружать свои save. Оказывается она не понимает Win10 с русским текстом, притом сама игра была полностью озвучена. Пришлось шаманить.
    Окромя этого, претензий к портированию, не было ни каких.
    Игра чумовая во всём.
    В графике. Это какой то разлив гуаши по экрану, с взрывами в виде слова "BooM". К тому же в игре имеется специальная фича, ты можешь одеть или раздеть своего персонажа как угодно и во что угодно. Не знаю зачем, но здесь это работает. К примеру: можешь надеть на голову аниматорскую башку панды, лифчик поверх шубы, на жопу стринги, а на ноги лыжи и в таком виде проходить игру ууууу!
    В сюжете. Я даже не знаю, где логичнее ведут себя персонажи и развивается повествование, здесь или в "Южном парке". И ещё, и это важно, твой протагонист всегда понимает, что находится в игре!
    В боёвке. Здесь как в графике. Ты стреляешь из какого то говна, каким то говном, иногда в прямом смысле этого слова, при том перемещаясь по проводам, на электрической тяге ууууу! Ты будешь вызывать землетрясения, запускать торнадо, стрелять током, прыгать на 20 метров и летать! Что самое главное, это ни как не объясняется, можешь и всё!
    Враги. Это куски, опять же, какого то говна в которое превратились все, почти, люди, после испития некоего газированного напитка уууууу! Почему превратились? Превратились и всё!
    Но самое главное, что мне запомнилось, это партнёры нашего антагониста. Это, что то с чем то, не буду спойлерить. Скажу одно все они, явно, выходцы из сумасшедшего дома, все! Кто играл меня поймет. Кто не играл посмОтрите сами!
    Короче игра, это какой то сон наркомана. Весёлая, без башенная, отмороженная! Это я ещё молчу, про анимацию возрождения нашего альтер эго после гибели!
    К сожалению, я допустил одну ошибку, посмотрел игру на YouTube. По этому личное прохождение оказалось, для меня, не таким интересным, что и повлияло на мою оценку. В этом и странность. Не допускайте моих ошибок!    … Expand

Though its level system leaves a lot to be desired and its theme is almost "trying to hard" punk counter culture, which breaks the 4th wall constantly... it's a welcome breath of fresh air. The story is over the top because this is a "self aware parody of action videogames" type, that is neither good or bad, it's very funny at times and cringe at others. It gets pretty ripetitive but it is generaly fun and you can have a good time playing it. If you like the non-stop action with huge movement abilities thisFun gameplay, some fun characters but it doesn't excels in anything.     Awkward to control. As far as I can tell, you just end up going round in a circle over and over, spamming fire at some enemies. Starts with you thrown into the action with no context, which itself almost made me quit. Please never, ever do this.

    And this is personal taste, but the "wacky" humour is just tedious.

    Sunset Overdrive ha sido toda una sorpresa para mí. Uno de los mejores juegos de Insomniac Games. La estética que tiene es única y recuerda a Jet Set Radio. Su mundo es muy colorido, el punto de vista desenfadado. La acción está asegurada con muchas muchas armas raras y geniales, a cada cual más loca y bizarra. Recomiendo mucho jugar a este juego, su apartado artístico, sus locuras, susSunset Overdrive ha sido toda una sorpresa para mí. Uno de los mejores juegos de Insomniac Games. La estética que tiene es única y recuerda a Jet Set Radio. Su mundo es muy colorido, el punto de vista desenfadado.     One of the first things that pop out upon starting playing the game is just how colorful and vibrant it is. Sunset city visually is a very bright and colorful world to play in. The city has varied districts each with their own visual flair and identity that translates into the arhictecture that you can play around with. The open world of Sunset is tailored to serve the game's traversal mechanics above anything. And the traversal is the main star of the show. You can grind, slide, bounce on and off almost everything in the environment, dash in mid air, surf on water on your feet, wall run, and for some time it's a blast making it feel like you're in some sort of a superhero game, however it eventually becomes 2nd nature gameplay aspect and wears off it's initial WOW factor. Game likes to throw a lot of OD's (game's name for it's zombies) at you aswell as robot enemies, of both of whom there are several types for each and who are quite agressive, fighting them on foot in traditional 3rd person shooter manner isnt very effective, as the game itself constantly reminds you to use the traversal systems to take them down, and when you do, combat comes alive, with combos and stuff, its pure mayhem. Aiding your combat abilities are ''amps'' and other powerups which are assigned to player's abilities and weapons. These powerups include all kinds of bonkers effects, from mini hurricanes, to electricity being spewed around you, to ground erupting in flames and others.

    Staying with the combat, Insomniac were sort of bragging about how cool they made their weapons for the game, and yeah, they're pretty creative. There are only few traditional shooter archetypes like a hand canon, assault rifle, odd shotgun, rest are quite unique, from fireworks launcher, to acid sprinkler, to RPGesque teddy bear bomb launcher, to nanite cloud gun that disintergrates enemies, just to name a few.

    Sunset Overdrive has quite decent character customisation, while not as deep as for example Saints Row, you can still create a reasonably unique looking guy or gal. Game also has a good amount of different outfit choices, some of whom you unlock by beating in-game challenges. You can mix and match different options at your leisure, or run around almost naked if you want to.

    The game's storyline offers plenty of cool missions, fun and bizzare characters, regular breaking of the 4th wall, but overall it wont stick around in your head for days after completion.

    If you're, like me, still using Windows 7, prepare for a less then optimal experience, as the game for some utterly stupid reason isnt officially supported on W7, yet it works, with some issues that is. The in-game's anti aliasing doesnt work for starters. There are issues with textures flickering in the distance, broken LOD i assume. There's also the occasional stuttering. Part of the core game are the ''defending the fort'' type of activities, which shift game to night time, once you beat such activity, it goes back to day time, but then textures around you start flickering, lighting goes off the rails, it requires you to restart the game in order to fix it.

    Despite the annoying issues of the port, all and all Sunset Overdrive is pretty decent fun for the while it lasts, but once you more or less finish it, there's little incentive to stay around.    … Expand

    I don't what's so special about this game but man it is fun. Sometimes it can be just a little frustrating but personally I like it. The mechanics, the simple story and the pure sarcasm are very good.

    Uno de los mejores juegos que he jugado , muy divertido, la historia es buena , también disparar es satisfactorio , el mundo es enorme y se siente vivo , lastima que tardaron mucho en portearlo a pc, totalmente recomendado si te gustan los shooter en 3 era persona.

    Sunset Overdrive is one of the very few open-world games that sets itself apart from the competition with its unique and wacky setting, Parkour system and hectic gameplay experience, and all these are faithfully represented in the PC port. While solid, the port does lack some features that are expected out of a PC game in this day and age: this, coupled with the removal of co-op multiplayer, ends up damaging the experience. If you have no other mean of enjoying the game, however, Sunset Overdrive on PC is more than worthy of your time and money.

    Sunset Overdrvie brings the fun on Xbox One to the PC platform. If you looking for a fun game, it's a very good alternative on the PC.
