    Incredible open world survival game. The gameplay is very creative considering you're under water for 95% of the game. The world is beautiful and terrifying at the same time. The creatures are unique. The story is well told, and the game does not hold your hand through it. This game is a must have for people who enjoy survival horror games.

    아직 절차적 생성에는 부족한 점이 많다는걸 깨달은 작품. 어디든지 갈수있지만 산소량의 한계로 레벨에 따라 자연스럽게 잠수의 한계를 구현한게 좋았다. 수중공포증을 가진 내가 그걸 이겨가면서까지 몰입하게한 작품.

    I got this for Christmas and I can't stop playing it. I'm a scuba diver and I love the physics in game. It feels like you're swimming. I love the graphics. Standing on the life pod looking out over the ocean is amazing. When the sun starts going down and the fluorescent life starts to get bright underwater; it's just shocking how beautiful it is.

    They don't make quality games like this now days.. Atleast not the big publishers, that's why this game is so amazing to me. It was made at a time when game are really lacking in game quality and only focus on graphic quality. I played countless hours and the story is one of the best I have ever played.     Типичный выживач, скучный сюжет, лор непонятен и как-то уныл,биомов мало, как и живности, очень затянуто, из + можно выделить классный сеттинг и атмосферу. Графика весьма спорна, вроде вода и инструменты в руках выглядят сносно, однако все остальные текстуры это просто уровень 2008 года.Типичный выживач, скучный сюжет, лор непонятен и как-то уныл,биомов мало, как и живности, очень затянуто, из + можно выделить классный сеттинг и атмосферу.     this game is worth the money, you get hours of exploration and some scares thrown in for what 19.99 USD. I would buy it for more like 40 USD and still be happy, I will say one thing to anyone that buys this game, your paying below AAA price of 60 USD so you won't a endless experience buy it is still a must have. i finished the game in about 11 hours, mostly just exploring and running.

    This game was capable to make me love it despite how much I despise the survival genre - or at least, the entries this genre has.

    It was truly a great journey, capable of make me feel strong emotions every time I discovered a new species or a new biome. It was no small feat, due to my pair of decades of gaming!

    Amazing game, really captured my attention and kept it with in game progression and the threats that kept popping up. The game still has a number of bugs none of which really hinder your gameplay just some immersion. If that is fixed this game will be a solid 10/10

    I really enjoyed this game, fun open world. The gameplay is awesome and enjoyable, the visuals are spectacular. I would highly recommend this game. Can't wait to play the next one. Well done Devs!!

    I would like to see more endgame content as when I finally got the cool stuff the game was almost over.

    Best survival game I've ever played, especially impressive when you take into account that it is made by an indie studio. The game has amazing art, music and locations and it's survival horrors blend in very well and can suck you in for a long time. It's not without it's bugs tho, but those are really minor things and mostly are caused by the Unity engine the game runs on. Иные игры можно исследовать процентов на 20% и уже пройти сюжетку. Здесь не так. Subnautica высторена таким образом, что весь её мир значим и для сюжета, и для выживания. Каждый добытый кусочек ресурсов сыграет свою роль. Каждая локация расскажет свою историю. А в финале всё выстроится в потрясающую целостную картину.
    При этом игра крайне реиграбельна и нелинейна. Начинаем мы в "ламповом" и очень дружелюбном мелководье, по началу может показаться, что геймплей даже излишне прост и неагрессивен. Но стоит начать исследовать мрачные глубины, как тут же пропадает весь налёт детсадошности :) По мере погружения возрастают и опасности: к банальной нехватке воздуха и обезвоживанию добавляются перегрев от потоков магмы, радиация и жуткие монстры. Разнообразие враждебно настроеных существ велико - от маленьких хиртецов-паразитов до чудовищных левиафанов, способных лишить главгероя жизни в один миг. Не менее разнообразны доступные игроку технологии и инструменты выживания, ассортимент которых регулярно расширяется по ходу прохождения.

    Мне игра понравилась! 9 балов ставлю за слабую оптимизацию на ps 4: игра проседает привсплытии на поверхность, так же есть артефакты на базе, коих я не видел на компьютере.

    Игра хорошая интересная, у неё много плюсов, а также и минусов, но всё по порядку. Плюсы: игра не вероятно интересная одна из самых лучших игр в жанре выживания, а также не плохая графика как для 2018 но уж поверьте в 2015 было и хуже. А также не могу не отметить что это по мимо выживания ещё и охрененый хоррор так что если вы хотите пощекотать свои нервишки это то что вам надо.     This game is awesome! I love the story and the gameplay is really captivating.
    I definitely recommend playing through the whole game. It doesn't take that long and it's worth it at the end.

    Masterpiece!
    I wish it could have co-op mode one day!
    This game reminds me of my first game on my first pc. The game was called "Shark! Hunting the Great White" that gave me unforgettable extreme underwater experience.
    This is quite the same by mechanics but has hole living interactive universe that takes few days away from your life. Maybe even more than that!

    I rarely give 10/10 scores. The sense of awe and exploration is like BOTW, but with a feeling of isolation that’s both zen-like calm and terrifying at times. Saying too much will spoil the numerous discoveries scattered through the game. I almost wish I could forget the game just to I can experience it for the first time again. This is a 100% must-play.

    Deniz ortamında geçen en iyi açık dünya oyunlarından birisi olabilir. Lakin keşke hikaye, görev sistemine biraz daha abansalarmış :) Tek eksiği sanırım Multiplayer olmaması varsa da biri aydınlatsın lütfen.

    This game is one of if not the best game I have ever played. The attention to detail is just amazing and ever new part of the game I discovered made me want to never leave the shallows. The amount of diverse creatures and biomes, the deep story( pun intended) is just amazing and doesn’t reveal itself to you unless you discover it. But my absolute favorite part of this game is it's use ofThis game is one of if not the best game I have ever played. It’s the fact that it’s fairly hard to die in this game and the aggressive creatures can never kill you in one hit. Немного может наскучить процесс строительства и сбора ресурсов, но это мелочи. Ставлю этой замечательной игре 10, хотя может быть по честному она наверное заслужила 9/10...Это наверное лучшая инди игра в которую я играл.     El juego en si es bastante chill, un superviviente en un planeta lleno de agua que necesita recolectar recursos para sobrevivir, realmente es una premisa sencilla y la historia tampoco es que sea del todo compleja aunque si interesante, mi principal problema es con la optimizacion del juego, yo no tengo un PC de la Nasa pero si cuento con algo bastante decente, y por mas que intentaraEl juego en si es bastante chill, un superviviente en un planeta lleno de agua que necesita recolectar recursos para sobrevivir, realmente es una premisa sencilla y la historia tampoco es que sea del todo compleja aunque si interesante, mi principal problema es con la optimizacion del juego, yo no tengo un PC de la Nasa pero si cuento con algo bastante decente, y por mas que intentara configurar el juego para que la renderizacion fuera buena nunca lo logre, cosas que cargan en tu cara, peces y agua que atraviesan estructuras, y bugs con los vehiculos que los vuelve inaccesibles son algunos de los bugs que me hicieron dejar este juego despues de 20 horas, la exploracion es buena, las diversas especies de peces me parecen interesantes al igual que las diversas estructuras, pero sinceramente no se como puede funcionar asquerosamente mal, una lastima.… Expand

    Very good survival game, it has an immersive atmosphere and lots of things to do and places to explore. Definetely recommended, one of my favourite survival games.

I hope more games like this will come out instead of the boring regular early access games I'm looking at you "The Forest"… Expand

    tl;dr:
    Beautiful game, incredible, gripping story - I strongly recommend it!

    You watch a small cutscene laying the plot for the story, it drops you straight into action, you wake up in a burning escape pod, death is imminent but you struggle free from the seat and extinguish the fires. You open the hatch and observe the seemingly infinite horizons of water, next to the giant spacecraft which has seeming disturbed this environment's rest.

    You dive into the blue abyss to discover the friendly shoals and the schools of fish brushing past you. It looks beautiful.

    PROS:

    In turns of the game's graphical elements, it really sticks out in a great way, mostly due to lighting effects. I am honestly intrigued as to what it would look like with RTX Ray-Tracing because I'm sure it would look very similar to this. The deeper you go, the darker it gets, when "night falls" the red rays of the nearby planet light up the night sky.

    The game relies largely on exploration, this puts the player out of their comfort zone and even sometimes introduces some horror aspects which are executed amazingly, I was on the edge of the seat for some of the deeper zones. This may not be for everyone but it worked for me even when I didn't know horror was involved, I personally loved the "heat of the moment" action.

    In terms of gameplay, the controls worked very well with them being preconfigured well without me needing to change much, but when I needed to, the menu of which to manage them was very easy to use.

    Creating and building a base underwater allows players to also let their creativity shine, whilst it also balances rewards with risks and requirements, such as reinforced walls to make sure integrity is up, so your base doesn't flood under pressure, as well as the need for power to keep the lights on.

    Another thing this game absolutely nails is vehicles, Subnauitica, in total, offers 4. They remain balanced and yet they still come with risks and rewards, with things like vehicle health. These vehicles can be upgraded with craft able upgrades if you so wish to spend valuable resources on them.

    The game's story is one of the highlights for me, leaving you in awe in some places, with you scratching your head in others, the game's lore can be very interesting at times, not delving too deep to the point where you overthink things but still allowing you to let your imagination and theories run wild as you progress in the game.

    CONS:

    Bugs - I experienced a bug which got me stuck in a wall thanks to the prawn suit in a stage late in the game, in turn I had to learn console commands and I actually had to god into noclip mode to save my game before I fell into the void.

    Lack of multiplayer features - when I picked this game up I expected multiplayer features but it lacked it which was a real bummer for me and my friends. However, due to the game's wonderful community, developers have been working on multiplayer options for Subnautica, thank god!

    Conclusion:

    In conclusion I feel that the pros outweigh the cons massively, so I have to recommend picking this game up. The price for it is an absolute STEAL.    … Expand

It's not the typical type of fear in horror games, it's more the feeling that you could be caught anytime and killed any second, while giving you the feeling that you escaped by the skin of your teeth. It's really something that must be experienced, and it's one of many great sensations the game gives you.

    The game has some niggles, the biggest of which is the game's barriers in certain spots which can glitch out and trap you forever. It's not a huge issue, but worth mentioning. The game also has some performance hiccups, especially if you go very deep, but it's hardly a deal breaker.

    If you have ever enjoyed a survival game in your life, play Subnautica. If you enjoy horror games or games with scary atmospheres, play Subnautica.     Best open-world I have played in about a year. And best indie title for almost a decade! Great atmosphere, great graphics, attention to detail. Amazing what this little studio did with a small budget, compared to "the big guys". They made a competitive shooter called "Natural Selection 2" as well - be sure to check it out if you like fast-paced FPS action. :-)

This ocean world survival game has as great atmosphere. learning new recipes and unlocking new areas and depths drives you to explore further, although fearful of what you might find or get lost in underground cave systems and drown.

    the game plot is mainly told through records you pick up and audio recordings until you get further in to the game. You can play and enjoy the game for hours simply crafting and expanding your base. you especially want to find a way to have a constant water and food supply, once you have that sorted you are free to progress or drag the plot as you feel free.

    The game is great but once you have completed the game there isn't as much re-play-ability as I would like as once you know where things are and areas to avoid you can easily set yourself up with little threat - knowing where to go and your limits.
    There is also a fair few glitches of note - your buildings can be seen through objects and landscapes, areas loading really slowly once there are lots of crafted objects in an area - as a result I had an instance where I glitched through a permanent wall and became stuck out of bounds, having to reload an older save.

    if you like open world and survival games I would highly recommend this game - I would like to give it a higher score but the glitches unfortunately mean a lower rating for me    … Expand

    Subnautica is a really good survival/horror game title. It has a huge unique open world which most of the time gives you goosebumps. Building a base, creating new vehicles, exploring the deepest pits of the alien ocean. But the main issue I think the game has is the constant need to farm more materials and that makes this unique game boring sometimes.     this is the best survival game i have ever played. it is very fun and replayable. i completed the game 5 times by now and i could complete it the 6th time. the only bad thing about it are the weird bugs that appear at random but they arent a big deal. overall a must buy

    This game is one of the iconic steam games in my opinion. Atmosphere in Sub Nautica is incredible and terrifying. This game has major technical issues however that ruined my first playthrough of this game. Another issue is the lack of direction in this game. I would recommend using a guide if you want to play this game.

    Today there should be more graphic details sets. Creating manual detail config is very uncomfortable.

    А, и ещё там есть топ фишка как по мне, капсула времени, тип ты в конце игры оставляешь фотку, текст и какие то препасы(не много) в ней, и один игрок когда нибудь в случайном месте карты на поверхности найдёт её (я 2шт нашёл, сразу не выкупил что шмотки из неё, подумал баг и выкинул их) )    … Expand

I don't know if they will make a third game, but if they do, they should give credit to the first game and re-live the feeling that Subnautica gave me.     Great exploration game, especially if you enjoy the sea. It has a beautiful art style and a pleasant mystery story that you have to discover by yourself like a marine detective :D

    Fish and other more dangerous creatures would oftenly clip through solid objects, which also hurt the overall experience.

    The enemies were also quite derpy and once you get used to them it becomes trivial to avoid them.

    In the second half of the game, especially the end, it did really get excruciatingly dull when it came to gathering materials for the "final ingredients" and components in order to finish.

    Overall this is a fairly enjoyable game if you're a fan of diving and exploring the natural world, with a few caveats.    … Expand

    This game is amazing. Underwater world looks really massive, beautifull and scary in the same time. Plot is enough good. Two main problems are grinding and bugs. I strongly recommend it.

    Poucas vezes na vida fui tão surpreendido positivamente num jogo. É incrível, envolvente, leve, divertido e surpreendente. Não tive nenhuma experiência negativa e a história é sensacional. Eu espero muito que essa empresa continue produzindo jogos com tamanho primor. Nota máxima.

    It's a very good game, but it's very poorly optimized. I played it on my PC and XBOX, on both, when I set up my base and look at it, the game hits 22 fps on PC and 15 fps on series x. Also, the game has a lot of loading popups. And I think the story could be easier to understand, not necessarily needing to read and look for the PDA's

    After 125 hours played in this open-world game, i have discovered something new every time, this game its perfect for people who is looking for a non scary game but yes for a game that gives you goosebumps. The music is perfect, and the story its interesting but not necessary. One of the most underrated games, almost in the last 10 years.

    It isn’t without performance hiccups, especially the deeper you go. But the breadth of content here and the open-world nature both in terms of playspace and just pure choice in how you go about it is something rarely seen in games.

    Subnautica is hands down the best survival game I have ever experienced. I completely lost track of time while playing it and for the first time in ages I rescheduled my appointments and neglected my responsibilities to spend more time with a game. If I could I would hand out free copies in the streets so as many people as possible can see how ridiculously good Subnautica is. [04/2018, p.62]

    A great game that took five years to make. Subnautica is an open sandbox sci-fi fantasy that can inch it's way into horror as you explore the depths of the ocean world. Just be ready to farm!
