Jan 27, 2020This game has nothing good to offer. Horrible stealth, terrible combat and a climbing mechanic that doesn't even work . The story is also very bad. There are plenty of indie and triple A games that have much better stealth than this game. Do yourself a favor and avoid this game.

Oct 8, 2014Lots of some raging imperfections but really enjoyable in the end. Surprised by the combat system in the first place, I finally managed to deal with it and had a good stealthy time. It's hard to be a gobelin o_o

Oct 10, 2014Challenging and hard stealth game with great story, unpretdictable ending and awesome characters. I can't name better stealth game for past 5 years where you can't just ragekill everybody without hiding. Mechanics are working pretty good and armor design of enemies is really cool. Love it.

Oct 10, 2014Great stealth game, huge world and a lots of possibilities in your actions but a poor combats system.
Styx is a good surprise for me in stealth genre, a good successor of "Thief" games and the price is fair. -

Oct 11, 2014What a nice surprise.
Styx is an excellent stealth game with lots of appeal and with an unusual, but actually very likable, main character. Can be pretty challenging but it's always fair, and often lets you have different approaches at the various challenges thanks to the main character's many abilities and skills. Great map design and interesting story too. -

Mar 10, 2017Criminally underrated. It has a few issues but it easily outshines the few flaws. If you like stealth and/or killing plenty of guards while stealing sh*t this game is for you. Can't wait for the sequel!

Apr 22, 2015Styx is one of my new favourite games after playing through it, i used to hate goblins, but not anymore. Plus you can beat this entire game without even being seen. Now that's what i call a f***ing awesome stealth game.

Mar 10, 2016Worst stealth game ever made with no doubt whatsoever also the physics is ass and very unreliable, boring characters and boring story. The game also keeps breaking it own rules over and over.

Nov 18, 2014Styx was great in "Orcs and men", but not so good on his own.... Story, sound, graphics were pretty good, but the game was too repeatable and sometimes hard for me. Lots of reloads, again and again, in order to get some extra skill points, or avoid raising an alarm spoiled the gaming continuity.

Sep 20, 2020I can only recommend if you are a fan of true Stealth style games like Thief. Apart from Styx the graphics is average, storyline is not interesting and cliche and the general feeling of the AI is clunky. Can give this a miss.
-
Dec 26, 2014Well this is probably the best stealth game to come out in 2014. You get to play as a goblin rogue and sneak around stealing and killing. The story is pretty interesting, but it is the gameplay that got me hooked on the game.

Dec 12, 2014A terrific stealth game, with a great story and some unexpected twists. Challenging but rewarding. If you want to rush around just killing stuff, this game isn't for you. You need to observe, think, and plan - try different options to achieve your goals. Smooth, graphically sumptuous with atmospheric sound. Love it!
-
Dec 25, 2015It's a really good game. The game is satisfyingly challenging and the near endless approaches to any problem is also a great feature in the game.I also liked the story/storytelling in the game. The graphics are not that bad either.

Oct 18, 2015This is a great game that you should buy it. you can not grab on to as many things as Assassins creed however the fact that the game has less glitch's makes it way more fun and you can see for your self its My brother made a video of Styx Master Of Shadows on Youtube at the Player Character Theater

Oct 24, 2016Fantastic game. Lots of freedom, cool atmosphere/story. Usually I find the stealth elements a bit boring but in this game not at all. It's an exciting ride.

Nov 26, 2018Graphics are nice that about it. Styxs cheesy one liners get old quick and after you fail you will be ridiculed over and over. I though I would give the second one a chance since the first did bring a cool atmosphere and vibe to it. Trust me you be better off playing anything else. These high ratings are all paid the game is trash.

Apr 16, 2020As for me Styx. Master of Shadows is one of the best stealth games at the moment.. This game has good plot and great gameplay. And I can recommend it for you, but of course Styx has some bugs like drawdown in the chart and strange actions of mps, but they are really rare.
In conclusion I would like to say that if you are fan of stealth games, you have to pass this game. -
Oct 10, 2021Однозначно моя любимая игра в стиле фентези стелс
By far my favorite fantasy stealth game -

May 2, 2021A pure stealth game with many nice ideas. The AI was not bad, but not too good at all. There were some annoying bugs and some unfair situation but overall it was fun. The game should had more testers. Play this for a good stealth experience, but be forgiving of its bugs.
-
May 2, 2021The game isn't bad, I mean graphics and musics are correct, there is a good ambiance and story.
But the stealth is omnipresent and killing the fun, you have to focus on your discretion all the time plus most of the time you can't chose to kill ennemies or they'll all rush on you and then you die, and restart again and again, until you find the right path -
Mar 7, 2023Ух, припотел я знатно. Но вообще игра занятная, не совсем в моем вкусе, но это, во всяком случае, хотя бы попытка сделать что-то свежее.
-
Jun 30, 2022a little difficult but a lot of fun! I like to say that this game is MIDDLE OF EARTH in reverse LoLoLoLo

Pelit (Finland)Mar 18, 2015Styx: Master of Shadows is quite good as a stealth based game. Fighting sucks, but I think that is intentional, so that stealth is the main point. [Feb 2015]
-
CD-ActionFeb 7, 2015Cyanide Studios surprised me by making a game that’s genuinely worth recommending. What kept me from giving it a higher rating were some technical issues that I encountered. [01/2015, p.58]

Nov 11, 2014Misfortune follows Styx everywhere in his travels around Akenash. If you somehow managed to complete the campaign without using F5/F9 even once, congratulations – you have an iron will. Most of you, though, will be loading the last quicksave every couple of minutes, because Styx can be so clumsy, especially when it comes to jumping.
