    Storm Boy: The Game’s biggest flaw is its length. The price point, as of writing this, is unreleased, but it took me less than twenty minutes to beat the game, and so I hope the game stays accordingly affordable. I didn’t skip the minigames—sure, I didn’t get lost in them either, but I did play them all until I was bored. Of course, kids might spend considerably longer on it, getting lost collecting shells and feeding pelicans, but it still couldn’t take much more than half an hour.

    Storm Boy is a short and, ultimately, lovely experience. It is the perfect game to chill out with on a Sunday afternoon or to introduce younger players to the world of gaming whilst providing a strong eco-friendly message.

Sotto l’aspetto narrativo, anche se con dei nei dovuti ad un non perfetto processo di riconversione da parte di Blowfish Studios e della sua natura indie, può offrire degli spunti interessanti soprattutto ad un pubblico più piccolo. Proprio quest’ultimi, attraverso l’attaccamento ai due personaggi, potrebbero essere spinti a delle riflessioni sul concetto stesso di amicizia, con l’aiuto di un adulto o meno. Di contro, analizzandolo con un occhio più critico e nel suo aspetto più ludico, ci si rende conto dei limiti di questo gioco. Ci si sarebbe potuti aspettare benissimo una maggiore interattività per il giocatore, che risulta fin troppo guidato negli scenari principali, così come indubbiamente non avrebbe guastato affatto una maggiore attenzione e cura nei dettagli… Expand
