Great for what it's meant to be: A training tool for the armies of today. - As a game, which it's NOT meant to be, it's a very steep learning curve. With the 3D interior OTOH, like in the Leopard 2dk, it is more difficult and time consuming than in RL. Expand

Bringing a taste of Military grade training to the home user, and giving people a realistic sense of what is really involved in tracking and hitting a target. So far, as close as ANY tank sim has gotten to replicating the tanker's environment. Company based, but also fun as a rogue "lone wolf" tank, or in as big a battle as you want. I long avoided this because everyone made it sound like it's extremly complex and time consuming. (like the DCS Games for instance) And i don't have that much time and patience available any more these days. But i guess tanks are just simpler machines than aircraft. I finally tried it out with the time limited 1 month license (like 10 Euro or something). I finally tried it out with the time limited 1 month license (like 10 Euro or something). Within two days i had a gunnery score of 100%, was commanding two tank platoons with mechanized infantry attached, and blowing up t-80s at 1.8 kilometers distance. Yeah it sure *is* hard to survive an engagement, but the basics are easy to learn, and it's great fun if you're looking for a good battlefield atmosphere and some realism. The included scenarios can be overwhelming, but simple yet believable engagements can be set up, and tailored to your taste in the included editor. And it doesn't require a degree in rocket physics (like the Arma Editor). This might be a military training tool. But it's also one heck of a fun game if you can spend just two days to get into it. I'd recommend it. Oh, and it runs great on my Surface Pro2 Win 8.1 Tablet with an Xbox Controller attached. So mobile tanking here i come :-) Expand

+ Very detailed tanks and other armoured vehicles
+ Planning phase during the battle is easy to use
+ Hard-core simulator for true fans of battle realism
+ Manual that carefully explains not only how the game functions, but why. You can actually learn how real tanks works.
+ Multiplayer is a best part of this simulator

    - Graphics
    - It's very hard to learn.
    - Some big battles may last very long time (7-8 hours).
    - Sometimes controlling the battle on the map take most of your time. Then it's more like a wargame not a tanksimulator.
    - Very expensive.

A dream-come-true for anyone interested in modern Combined Arms warfare. Its weak link is that it offers only separate scenarios made by various people. Some good, some in German, some too much to digest. Well worth the $125, anyway.
