-
The attention to detail is unmatched.
-
Starlancer also features some of the most believable voice acting. However, I really hated Hawkee in the later missions, she was just plain irritating.
-
It's a near-perfect traditional space combat game. I'm one of the most discriminating space combat fans out there, and StarLancer was just a joy to review.
-
An enjoyable story-driven space combat sim that should meet, but not exceed, the lofty expectations of fans of the developers' previous games.
-
PC GamerLots of flash, low substance. Try "Freespace" or "Tachyon" for a more fulfilling experience. [July 2000, p.84]
-
The parts alone don't suggest a great game, but as a whole, it works really well, and I expect to be playing Starlancer for a while longer yet, especially with the incredibly fun cooperative mode available.
-
Somewhat less than the sum of its parts, StarLancer just doesnt provide anything we havent seen before.
