    I absolutely loved playing Stardew valley! There was love put into this game, and it shows. It seems so simple at first but there is so much attention to detail, a must buy!

    Stardew Valley es con diferencia unos de los mejores juegos tanto indie como en general. Un juego que literalmente revive los simuladores agrícolas y hace que los próximos lanzamientos del mismo género pillen ideas principales para implementarlas. En mi humilde opinión creo que Stardew Valley se merece un sello de oro por todo lo que hizo en la industria de los videojuegos.

There's a lot here to enjoy and a good amount of different things to do. Plus it's super simple so even your non-gaming spouses/siblings will enjoy it.

    Wonderful game with beautiful history, graphics and music. I really liked almost all the game mechanics (except fishing, but there is a mod FishingMadeEasy75, where you can adjust the sensitivity). Very well prescribed characters and their stories. I highly recommend to play and plunge into this atmosphere.
    The main disadvantage is that after 1-2 gaming years it isn't interesting to play.    Wonderful game with beautiful history, graphics and music.     Wow what a game! This game is so COZY. If you are looking for the super cozy vibe of having a plot of land in a forested valley with hints of magic, this is the exact game you have been waiting for. There's alot more to this game than farming.

    I've barely done anything in this game but it's insanely fun! I hate 2d or pixelated games but this one is just amazing! It's very colorful and makes me be very glad I bought a decent monitor c:

    I really hate the saving though, you have to finish a night and sleep to save your game :( also walking over the map is soo annoying! but Oh well ! I love it!     One of the most gratifying and satisfying experiences in gaming. To correctly convey my love for this game I have to compare the SV 'franchise' (hopefully) with another game, specifically the Animal Crossing franchise. Animal Crossing was my first experience with a game that had this amazing and groundbreaking aspect of the community. It amazed me how there were events that coincided withOne of the most gratifying and satisfying experiences in gaming.     Tengo este juego en pc, consola y movil, es un lugar que te hace sentir tan bien y seguro, yo lo pensaba hace un tiempo. Me recuerda a esos dias de lluvia despues del cole en el que podias llegar a casa y tomar un chocolate caliente, es simplemente un lugar seguro.

    Everything about Stardew Valley is charming. The music, the graphics, the townsfolk, the gameplay loop. It's constantly inviting you back for just one more day.     It's impossible to describe what is so compelling about a game like this without playing it. To start from nothing, grow some crops, struggle in the dungeon, make some friends, and end up a wealthy dungeon master with a wife and kid a few game-years later is an experience few other genres can match.

    Though there have been several big updates since launch, it's taken until VERY recently for anything meaty to be added to the endgame. But it's a minor gripe with one of my favorite games of the decade.    … Expand

    I do not give '10' scores lightly. In fact, I can't really think of another game that deserves the best possible score. It is the penultimate Harvest Moon game. Before, we had harvest moon. Then came runefactory and the developer split that created Story of Seasons. While story of seasons held the bar as the best farming games this game came along and took the top spot.     The Gayest Farming Sim Out there!

    Hats off to Eric Barone, the sole creator of Stardew Valley for creating the gayest Farming Simulator out there. For years I longed for a Harvest Moon game with same sex marriage. Year after year, I’d visit the Natsume booth at E3 and ask, “Can i bang a dude yet”? So thank you Mr Barone for letting me be my authentic true self in a farming simulator    The Gayest Farming Sim Out there!

So thank you Mr Barone for letting me be my authentic true self in a farming simulator where also, I have no bills. There also has to be thanks given to Chucklefish for publishing this one-man game. If you don’t know about Eric Barone and the massive undertaking Stardew Valley took, there are tons of books (Like Blood, Sweat, and Pixels) and articles that include his story and I suggest reading them, but the majority of my review will focus on why I recommend Stardew Valley.

    Simple Art for the Simple Heart

    Stardew Valley uses simple 2D graphics and is coded in C++. Each sprite is easily recognizable: from the growable vegetables and fruits, to the lovable Pelican Town’s residents (Minus Hailey, not that she’s not recognizable, she’s just not lovable). Stardew Valley has almost no issue running on any device, which is great for gamers who don’t have tons of resources to build a state-of-the-art PC. In fact Stardew runs better on PCs better than Minecraft, which is probably why it’s a bestseller.

    Farm, Fish, Friend, Forage, Find, Forge, FUN

    If you played games like World of Warcraft and said to yourself “Golly gee I do wish this here fishing profession had a much more substantial role in the economic progression of gameplay” well look no further! In the valley, you’ll be able to get your fishing on, and make an actual impact on your virtual wallet. There are tons of other systems in the game; Farmers can go mining in the caves or even fight enemies with the Zelda-like combat system. You can even ferment wine! What’s really great, is that none of these mechanics are forced on you! If you want to play the game like your real life, you don’t HAVE to court someone into marriage (but like I mentioned, if you want to, you can get it on with a guy like Alex my dream daddy). To top off all these awesome systems, you can manage your farm easily al from a game controller (in my case, a Steam controller). It’s clear the game was designed with using a controller in mind. In fact, the game was designed to be a very customizable experience with both gameplay and hardwear reliance in mind.

    tl;dr GO BUY STARDEW

    I like to keep my reviews short and simple with the busy millennial in mind who doesn’t have time to read a giant essay on why the game is good because they’re too preoccupied working their ass off to pay their school debt. Speaking of finances, did I mention Stardew Valley is only $15?! As I write this, multiplayer has entered into beta, which is highly anticipated. The new FREE patch will be implementing even MORE features, so yes. BUY THIS GAME

    Recommendations to developer
    Add a LGBT character that isn’t romanceable. Creating your own story is great, but adding a story that exists for all players is important for inclusion.

    Had this game since beta. One thing I will always remember. I was actually on a torrent website trying to download this, and in the comments, concerneape was there, he said he understood why people may need to torrent but all he asked was if you liked it you would buy it.
    Another game obviously made with love.

You can cook, tailor…

    But most importantly, you interact with your fellow villagers. The game encourages you to talk to them frequently, and at times to give present, do a favor. As seasons pass, you will get to explore different personalities, become friends with people who may not appear nice at first impression. Character development is excellent, thanks to the one-man dev team Eric Barone, a.k.a. ConcernedApe.

    It’s hard to understand from gameplay videos why Stardew Valley is perfect at what it’s trying to do. Stardew Valley is the perfect game for escapism.     Stardew Valley effectively combines the wholesome experience of farming, intriguing challenges of quests, and multi-faceted aspects of foraging, fishing, mining, as well as interacting with NPC's. The game, with a 2D pixel-style, remains entertaining through its countless possibilities of development and exploration, while at the same time being entirely free of stress.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Мое знакомство с игрой началось с шуточного видео Слидана, и по началу не верилось, что игра, больше напоминавшая какую-нибудь Веселую ферму, сможет затянуть на несколько десятков часов.
    Игровой процесс состоит из рутины, по типу, полей грядки, покорми скотину, сгоняй в шахту, поруби монстров, побалакай с местными обитателями, сходи на рыбалочку да спать завались. Раз-два за сезон игра радует праздниками и фестивалями. Но завлекает именно атмосферой тихой и уютной деревушки. Добротный саундтрек, поставленные тобой задачи не дают тебе расстаться с игрой и могут забирать целые сутки твоей жизни.
    Эх, как сейчас помню, в первый день приезда я встретила человека, с кем после связала себя узами брака... Я выполняла задание по знакомству с жителями, по опустошенной улочке проходил он, я постаралась завести диалог, на что он ответил мне больше не подходить к нему... Именно в этот момент я твердо решила завоевать его сердце, это был словно вызов. Начав узнавать Шейна получше, я только больше влюблялась. Меня, как русского человека, манил образ несчастного алкоголика, что не видел смысла в жизни и влачил бренное существование, напивавшись каждый день в баре и морально истощая обеспокоенную родню. Поначалу трудно было добывать для него подарки, но в летний сезон, как начался урожай красного перца, я смогла привлечь его внимание. Как вчера вспоминаю тот матч, где случился наш первый поцелую, первый день зимы, когда состоялась наша свадьба... После переезда на мою ферму каждый день можно было слышать благодарность, он говорил, как любит героиню и как благодарен, что она вытащила его из его прежней жизни. Он не вызывал отторжения, когда лениться, а на оборот создавал образ того, о ком хочется заботиться. А после рождения дочери он проявлял себя еще и как неплохой отец.

    Все выше написанное нормальному человеку покажется сентиментальной и неважной графоманией, но именно из этого и состоит игра. Каждый человек находит для себя что-то свое, ставит свои задачи, кто-то захочет поскорее пройти основной сюжет, кто-то построить ферму мечты, а кто-то обзавестись семьей и друзьями.
    Проблемы игры в ее однообразии, многим быстро надоест ежедневная рутина с поливом огорода, и игра не способна заставить человека перепроходить ее вновь и вновь, даже с желанием романа с другим персонажей (это лично для меня). Выполнив все поставленные перед собой цели, человеку будет незачем возвращаться. Но, несмотря на это, игра стоит той небольшой цены в Стиме и часы, проведенные за ней, оставят приятные, теплые воспоминания.
    Как человека, что с раннего детства увлекается, и можно сказать, живет играми, меня потрясает факт, что игру сделал один человек, и дает надежду, что каждый при желании сможет творчески реализовать свои идеи.    … Expand

    Fun little game for people looking to sink a couple hours at a time. A light-hearted farming simulator that follows in the footsteps of Harvest Moon, with likeable characters, varied environments, secrets galore, intuitive mechanics, a solid soundtrack, and a warm art style. Definitely in my top 10 of all time.

Farming is as good as it can get and many other aspects are amazing; but falls short in a few places such as the lackluster story and the combat gets abandoned pretty quickly.     This game is one which is difficult to ignore. Whenever i revisit my love for this game is reignited. There is so much to do and more is being added to the game in future updates. It doesn't require a lot to run the game ( i play it on a standard laptop) and the art style is great and the game runs smoothly.

    Este es uno de los mejores juegos independientes que me he encontrado, tiene mucho contenido, la duración del juego es muy larga, tiene buena banda sonora y el apartado artístico es muy bueno. Teniendo en cuenta que el juego fue creado prácticamente por una sola persona y el resultado, creo que este juego es merecedor de un 10.

    Solid, cute, and relaxing- but it requires a hefty time commitment and moves along at a snail pace. If you can get past that, I found this deeply rewarding as an experience to share with a friend. It's also extraordinarily beautiful, with excellent and consistent graphics and audio.

    I think startdews graphics are wonderful. The music is quite relaxing and this game, while challenging is fun and rewarding. You can unwind after a long day and just farm, or you can go into the mine, or raise animals or fish or anything there are many things to do in this game and it is absolutely excellent.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Stardew Valley is a one-man project created by ConcernedApe. This Farming RPG simply excels in its attempt to make you have fun and relax. Even the parts that seem hectic aren't overwhelming, any enemies you may fight being simple to get through. How great is it, really?

    Music/Graphics:

    The artwork for this game is amazing. The pixel graphics clearly had a lot of care and effort poured into them, with good shading performed everywhere. I don't get why people hate this graphical style because it is still amazing even today. Just look at Shovel Knight for another example of a great, pixel art game.

    The music is simply celestial. Barone clearly knew what he was doing here, as the OST of this game is one of the best I have heard, period. Even the title screen has good music! Sound effects are not shabby either, helping to draw you into the game's fictional but (mostly) realistic world.

    Narrative:

    The narrative opens with your grandpa dying and giving you a title deed to a farm. Years later, as a bored office clerk, you open it up, ditch the company, and take the long trip to Stardew Valley, where Pelican Town resides. You take the cluttered farm and for a few in-game years, help it thrive. Or, you know, you could just forget farming and focus on the relationships.

    After those 2 years, you will see a cutscene where your grandfather's ghost talks to you, grading you based on how well you've kept the farm. That's basically the narrative, otherwise, its an open-world/open-ended game, do what you want. It is very easy to get carried away and lose track of the time.

    Mechanics:

    The game's mechanics really work well with the premise. Farming is calm and relaxing, only requesting a few scarecrows to keep...well, crows away. It's oh-so-satisfying to harvest a large crop and see the profit you have made at the end of a day, whether you went to the mines, talked to the villagers, or stayed and chilled with your crops and animals. I only wish that it did not get repetitive after a few years, but otherwise, it is a really great bundle of fun.

    Fishing is probably the most negative section for me with the ludicrous timing and reactivity required to captures fish when you are short of skill points and/or bait. Otherwise, it is fine. Just takes getting used to. Use tackles whenever you can to make life easier.

    One of the most fun parts of this game is the relationship/friendship segment. By befriending villagers, you gain access to recipes, get sent items in the mail, and can even marry them if they have "single" under their name in the Relationships menu. To get married, raise a villager to 8 hearts and throw a bunch of bouquets at them. Once they reach 10 hearts, go see an old guy at the beach and get a "Mermaid's Pendant", which allows you to propose and marry the NPC you choose. You can even have children!

    The RPG elements are also quite sound. Skill points are earned by performing various tasks(foraging, farming, fishing, combat, mining) and make said jobs easier or more productive with upgrades at levels 5 and 10. Tool upgrades not only make them work faster but with certain ones(hoe and watering can) you can do multiple tiles at once, speeding up some lengthy processes!

    Finally, the main fetch quest of the game, the abandoned town hall. You are sent by adorable creatures called Junimos to collect certain items across the town, caves, and Calico Desert. Completing each room opens up a new room to fill and changes things in the world. For example, upon completing the Vault, you unlock the bus to Calico Desert.

    Game World:

    Stardew Valley is set in Pelican Town, a tiny country village filled with all sorts of interesting characters and pretty landscapes. Minus the magical/fantasy elements to the game, it paints a realistic setting that feels and looks great. The characters are filled with personalities of their own, no character is the same. This helps make the world as believable(again, minus the magic stuff) as it is.

    Conclusion

    Stardew Valley is an amazing game, definitely worth the minor $16 it costs on the Steam store. Unless you dislike calmer, farming games like this, this game is a must-have. The major reason, along with minor ones, I did not award 10/10 is that it gets repetitive after a few in-game years. Sad but true. There are always mods and different farm layouts to play with though, so you'll be sure to spend countless hours playing this amazingly well-built game.    … Expand

    It's funny. I'm usually the sort of person who goes for the most realistic (preferably flight and battle simulations), the most hard-hitting, the atmosphere of dread and panic. My idea of fun is being bogged down by Monolith and mutants in the STALKER Anomaly mod just as the damn gun I forgot to maintain jams on me and I leg it in terror. Often straight into an unseen anomaly. Foom.

    Well, this is the opposite of that. And I really like it.

    It's gentle, or at least as gentle as you want it to be. I think I ignored most of my farm initially and went on dungeoneering quests to Fight All The Things!

    Now, I relax, and farm. I say hi to my friendly chickens, rabbits, cows and goats. I grow trees. I get some nice food going. I visit the special holidays where I get to show off my nifty produce. I do a little fishing. I give people presents and hang out.

    It's nice. It's actually got a fair bit of complexity to it as well, but dammit, I have a good time, and I feel relaxed for it.

    Took me a while to learn that you can put hats on horses. Mine has a sailor's cap on, and it's adorable.

    You see what I mean? It's jolly. It's pleasant. It's quite immersive once you get into it. It's also very cute.

    But cute isn't *all* it is. It's got a lot going for it.

    If all that sounds bad to you, maybe you won't like it. Though you might. It's a small download, doesn't take up much space on your hard drive, won't work your CPU to boiling point and it's pretty easy to get into, but has more going on than just what is on the surface.

    If all that sounds good to you, then have at it. You'll most likely have a good time.

    I had a good time. I still have a good time with it.

    I always play this game when I cannot fall asleep since it brings peace to me. This game does an excellent job in what it is trying to offer. If you wonder whether to buy this game all you need is to watch its advertisement and pay for it if you want the experience you saw it the ads (Ironically, do not apply this method for most other game ads.). Overall, it is a great game, and I enjoy it.

    I've enjoyed this more than any farming game in recent history. It has a huge amount of content, a charming art style and soundtrack, and interesting characters. Top all of that off with the fact that it's the pet project of a solo indie dev, and you have an amazing accomplishment.

El juego se centra en la granja y el cultivar para ganar dinero, pero eso no es todo, puedes cultivar, puede tener animales, puedes dedicarte a ayudar a la gente, a caerles mejor en a la gente, en las minas, en recolectar, en saber la historia de todos, eso es uno de los puntos más fuertes de stardew valley, que siempre vas a tener un objetivo que hacer y todos los días van a ser distintos, pudiendo tener una granja de 5 años y seguir sin completar el juego, pero estando avanzado.     I spent a whole week almost 7 hours each day.
    During the mode, I also set up a love mod, and it was a bit shocking to see nurse Maru go to George’s home and doing the happy thing, dang, human’s creativity is unlimited…

    It's no fun but I'd appreciate it if you read it.

    I played overwhelmingly positive Portals 1 and 2 on Steam played no more than two days. Let's see if there's anything else in the Stade Valley:

    Can't relax the game. With a little time, there are tons of things to do. If you spend a day without pausing, you need to strategically move the line about 12 minutes in real-time. You gotta build farming, also dating, quests, fishing, mining, such as a variety of systems that will never be able to stop. Every a couple of weeks, village events are held, which excludes two days out of 28 days, so there is not enough time to do anything goof and off. Also, to build a friendly heart with the villagers, you need to give them a birthday present every three days. Different residents have different tastes, you have to mine rare metals from the mines or souvenir flowers in full bloom on time and stock up on wine, jelly, and pickles. In the game intro, the character gets tired of city life. Maybe he felt boring. On the other hand, Rural life is busier than in the city. I think only I was so busy because the residents of Pelican Town enjoyed life such as walking, boarding, drumming, and reading in a library. Some residents might feel full of hate of free life. What a Happy Life!

    If you got married, hope to make new contents after marriage, such as divorce and affair. It would have become a realistic marriage.     One year is enough time to enjoy the game. I'm spending my first winter and now I have to say goodbye to this game. The reason is the second year onwards, you won’t feel as same as the newness and joy of the first year, just doing the same or slightly better, easily expected jobs (I guess a mod I installed may be accelerated content consumption).

    I quit a game before ending if only repeating jobs with no further expectations left to do. I still have the rest of the contents: getting married, traveling desert. But, I recommend playing only the first year when you end up enjoying it without compulsory to see the ending.

    This game is fantastic. Relaxing, fun, and adorable. At this point, I've sunk a few thousand hours into this game on PC, PS4, and mobile. It's immensely replayable and enjoyable. I can only hope a similar game comes up in the future to scratch my SDV itch.

    This Game is so good for its price. You can do so much things in this game. I maybe would say, this game is like one of the best pc games ever. I will really recommend this game.

    Stardew Valley is one of the best games you can play if you like 2D RPG games. You can fish, dig, farm, build, interact with every NPC in the game, explore and fight. The game presents a good RPG experience but don't think that its story is boring. It has a nice story, the one that makes you feel curious after each quest. Quests are so fun and they make you feel like you need to exploreStardew Valley is one of the best games you can play if you like 2D RPG games.     For years I have been trying to replicate the fun I had with Harvest Moon on SNES. Nothing really fit though. It either was a crappy mobile game, the art style was too "cute", or something else was just off. This is a game where you can sink hours into going for just one more (in game) day like you do just one more turn in a Civ style game.

It feels very short. There isn't much point playing beyond the third year in a regular game and really relies on the very active and supportive modding community to produce DLC level content which breathes new life into the game. Without the mods it is a good game but with the mods it becomes a great game and I hope that for 1.5 or beyond we see some standout mods like SVE integrated into the main game.    … Expand

    Stardew Valley is an amazing game. I was not so interested in fighting mechanics, but it is at a tolerable level. Good is you aren't chased by specific time, but you can play slowly as you want.

    With new updates it is only getting better and better.

    One of the best game in my life. It is not an AAA titile, just an indie game but you will feel like it is one of the best AAA game ever. It is super-addicted,charming, especially when play the game with your friends. Lots of thing to do, a lots of fun quest,mind-blowing details, the best pixel graphic game,..much more. Everything here is so lively and peaceful, just like the real world,One of the best game in my life. It is not an AAA titile, just an indie game but you will feel like it is one of the best AAA game ever. It is super-addicted,charming, especially when play the game with your friends. Four years later I still go back to Stardew Valley now and then, and have not yet seen everything the game has to offer.

    The soundtrack is first class. Graphics are retro and cosy.    A perfect game. When I first played Stardew Valley in 2016 it made me feel a level of contentment only matched by my childhood experiences with Pokémon Sapphire back in 2003, and Oblivion in 2008. Four years later I still go back to Stardew Valley now and then, and have not yet seen everything the game has to offer.

    The soundtrack is first class. Graphics are retro and cosy. Gameplay is varied, with it being left up to you whether you work your land, expand your farmhouse, build relationships with the townspeople, go fishing, follow the main storyline, attend local festivals and events, crawl through a dungeon populated with monsters and resources, or any of the other activities this game offers.    … Expand

    Stardew Valley is without a doubt the best game in the Harvest Moon genre in many years. It has a subtle message about what it means to live a good life and to flourish through a combination of hard work and human connection. The Harvest Moon games all basically boil down to managing a mix of time, tasks, and metrics, and recent entries in the series have relied heavily on exploiting a new gameplay gimmick with each iteration: in one it's crafting structures for the town, in another it's trading with foreign economies. The problem with this approach is that once these gimmicks are exhausted — all the houses built or all the goods traded — the games feel hollow. Stardew Valley succeeds by delivering a robust experience that does not merely rely on watching a meter go up. It has something to say and says it well, while never abandoning the core gameplay that attracted players in the first place.

    Don't start this game if you value relationships, your job, your social life, and having free time. Stardew Valley will take all of that away from you, but it's okay because it's a great game.

    Stardew Valley is a fine, smart farm simulation game. It is slow and it involves a lot of daily tasks, but in Stardew Valley there is something ingenious about those tasks.
