  • Summary: Starfleet Academy looks and plays no better than space combat games from two years ago.

The characters and background story are modelled on the Kirk-cliché. However, I can easily forgive that because the things that matter are just done right. Here's a game in which Gene's vision is in tact. His philosophy of tolerance and non-violence is instilled in the Starfleet cadets. Your crew takes up missions of exploration that conjure up a sense of wonder.

I wish more games had the philosophical and moral depth in addition to being fun to play. Honestly, what could be more fun than commanding a Federation star ship?

Expand
