    It's not the newest, greatest thing, nor is it flawless, but it does have easy to pick up gameplay, replayability and creative potential, three aspects that I've grown to expect from pretty much any multiplayer game.     This is the most fun I've had with a multiplayer game in years. It controls smooth as butter, and they keep adding new content. I can't wait to see what's in store because I really love it right now.

    Since I came across Splitgate, I pretty much played nothing else.
    The portal mechanic brings SO much more depht to the already great fps experience.
    Once you start thinking with Portals, you never go back

    First point ofc, are the portals which make this game so ♥♥♥♥ crazy and good. Its hard to master, but once you get an idea of how to use the portals, you gain so many ways to move around and also to Kill your enemys.

Ofc there might be some bugs sometimes, but this will also get fixed over time.. I mean cmn you cant complain about bugs, every game has them and a good DEV Team will work on it to fix it! And Splitgate has NICE devs TURST ME.
    The sadly part of the game is the playersbase which is rly small yet, but this is also a positive thing.
    The small players base is the reason why the community is acting like a small family. You can always find some nice person to play with, just join the Discord Family.
    Me as someone who was always addicted to FPS games, feels so much in love with this game.
    Fragging people feels so statisfying, even if I DO MISS THE OLD PISTOL FROM SEASON 1, but I got used to the Carbine now and I am fine with it.

    If you love FPS games like me and you are searching for a new Experience in this sector, you should give Splitgate a try, I mean its FREE so there is no reason to not check it out if you are interested. Stop Thinking, start downloading!

    The portaling might frustrate you at first, but after few hrs of playing you should get into it! Dont give up after the first day!!!

    Splitgate brings classic Halo stylings and mechanics back in droves, refreshed by a clever and simple-to-use portal gun that adds a whole other level of awareness and strategy to the game. What Splitgate lacks in originality and variety (pretty much every game mode and weapon is a direct analog to Halo 2-3's catalog, but some of them less fun/useful), it makes up for with addicting, high-octane gameplay and satisfying kills. It's a shooter that forces you to think on your feet and get creative with your movement and map control.

    It's got plenty of areas to improve and expand its repertoire, and given that it's taking the free-to-play, battle pass/challenge-based service approach to its delivery, I'm sure it will.    … Expand

    Exceptional game. The control feels streamlined and intuitive. I am rarely if ever confused about what to do. The shooting action is fast-paced enough and the portal mechanic offers quite a lot of tactics that can't be used in other available FPS games. If you like fast-paced sci-fi FPS with good movements, you should definitely try out Splitgate.

    I find Splitgate a real fun game! There could be more things even though it is still Beta in Season 0. New equipment should come in and I hope more maps can come and make a lot of the maps more open for Team Deathmatch and Free for all and more. I play on Playstation 4! It's fun playing with both PC and Xbox.

    As a player of halo, quake and ut, I can sincerely say that the game is really fun. First of all, the graphics are good but could be improved. I think that there is this limit currently made so it should be able to play for all players (consoles & PC). Good physics and ragdolls but too little gore. Even though it is said to be out from beta now I still seem to find too many glitches for it to be out of beta. And even worse for the players that pays for the battle pass to support the game, to find out not all what is promised is given. Alot of the Battlepass rewards are not given, like coins which is crucial for the players to go on to the next season. This needs to be fixed before the next season! There is so much more I could say about this game but I will shorten it with this. Good game, free to play so why not try it out? With your friends or alone. But it could definitely be improved.

    With the first season now upon us, Splitgate has amassed quite the following, the ideas are all there, the gunplay is solid, now its just a matter of refining and adding content. I feel excited about this game.

    Game is quite entertaining if you like Halo. It does have a high skill cap and is quite slow with rewards however.

    Battlefield 5 is stale and Call of Duty Cold War is a broken mess. The free to play market is dominated/saturated by Battle Royale’s. Warzone is plagued with cheaters; Apex is old news and Fortnite… Well I’m 40 years old so, Fortnite is not really my thing.
    Friday nights playing online with the boys got more infrequent as we got tired of dying to cheaters in Warzone. I stopped playing Cold War because I was fed up with the high ping lobbies, aim resist and lag. Multiplayer was fading out of my gaming life until, SPLITGATE came along.
    I had seen a few YouTubers playing SPLITGATE, they all seemed to have good things to say about it. I decided, since it is free-to-play, I would give it a try.
    I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the game is on SERIES X. It runs buttery smooth on very stable servers. There’s a big player-base on XBOX, even bigger with the cross-play feature. Games are very quick to find, and due to no annoying skill based match making, games are found based on ping. Ping is king!
    Instantly there is a massive difference in quality compared to Cold War, which is shocking, considering Cold War is a full priced game. I have to play Cold War in 120fps just to make it feel mildly smooth online. I’m running SPLITGATE at 60FPS and it feels like it has a much higher framerate than Cold War at 120fps. The controls are responsive, movement is fluid and there is no lag. Finally I can play a game that rewards skill, no more shoot-first-die-first. Hit detection is spot on, and the game is well balanced.
    SPLITGATE is a classic multiplayer FPS. It is basically Halo, everything from the weapons to the blue vs red team is “inspired” by Halo. But SPLITGATE is not a cheap rip off, it has a key selling point that makes it different to Halo. The use of Portals. SPLITGATE merges the fun classic action of Halo with the strategic use of Portals taken from the game PORTAL. It works well and adds an extra layer of skill. You can, of course, play without using your Portal. But, if you want to become a good player, you will need to start learning how to effectively use Portals early on.
    The graphics (while not the best you will ever see) suit the game well. They are bright, bold, and colourful. Enemies are easy to spot, and if you do come across a camper, the well designed mini map will soon help you to hunt them down. The majority of maps are well designed, some are slightly messy but there’s no terrible maps.
    SPLITGATE is a free game, so obviously there are microtransactions however, there are no pay to win mechanics. Hopefully it will stay this way. If it does then I’ll be happy to keep playing and supporting the game.
    If you are looking to break away from the more mainstream multiplayers and want something a little different, or want to satisfy your thirst for Halo until Infinite comes out, then SPLITGATE may just be the game for you.    … Expand

Without a doubt, Splitgate is the best Multiplayer FPS since Black Ops 3 in my opinion. Some of the maps (Patheon, Forge, Impact, and Club Silo) I absolutely despise.     As a halo fan, I can honestly say this is more fun than the halo infinite beta was. Strongly recommend.

    Ps, the queue system is fixed, no more waiting to join a server. It is pretty much instant.

The servers are constantly struggling because of how popular it is and how small the company is, The only complaints I have is some weird frame rate drops and quite a lot ofAlthough splitgate was very mediocre for a while, this surge in popularity in the beta has shown extreme redemption. Being able to take 1v2 fights and come out on top because you were able to be in more than one place at once and dodge their shots is one of the best feelings I have ever experienced in a game.

    I honestly haven't played much other than Splitgate since I discovered it, and I have become very active in the community. The Splitgate community is one of the most welcoming I have been a part of, and I have joined the competitive scene as a result of it.
    Splitgate was just recently released to consoles with a crossplay beta and it has revitalized the game, creating more than 500x playerbase increase! You can now find games almost instantly, and ranked has never felt better. I am so excited for this game's future and I can't wait to see where the devs take it.    … Expand

    This game is pretty much just portal+halo with the design and physics and guns seemingly taken straight from each of their respective games. Despite what you may be thinking this is not an insult, the arenas are built to encourage constant movement and the portals just make it even more enjoyable.     I'm playing this game for a year right now, and piece by piece it become garbage... at the beginning it was quite good (don't consider graphic) but right now, the last update they change the game just for the new publisher and dor the cross platform... The maps are a mixed bag and the gunplay is fairly satisfying but doesn't offer the same level of fun or depth that can be found in other shooters.

    If the idea of a Halo and Portal mashup sounds interesting to you then    Splitgate does a pretty good job of taking ideas from existing franchises and combining them but offers very little when it comes to bringing anything new to the table. The maps are a mixed bag and the gunplay is fairly satisfying but doesn't offer the same level of fun or depth that can be found in other shooters.

    If the idea of a Halo and Portal mashup sounds interesting to you then definitely check this game out but it's very likely that you will find yourself wanting more from this free-to-play shooter.    … Expand

I don't like the portal places and some even throw you out of the map, the movement in air is too slow and feels like I am a feather and not a futuristic soldier wearing 100 kilos of armor and equipment. The main AR is one of the worst starting(main) guns I've everPortal x Halo like the dude mentioned before m, but I don't like it one bit. It is lifeless and it doesn't have personality. I don't like the portal places and some even throw you out of the map, the movement in air is too slow and feels like I am a feather and not a futuristic soldier wearing 100 kilos of armor and equipment. The main AR is one of the worst starting(main) guns I've ever used in a game. The secondary, hand gun, is 10x better. The maps, the announcer and everything needs more life and character. That's why many people liked apex, it was not just because it is an innovative BR game but because it had DIFFERENT CHARACTERS with different appearances and voices. The characters in this game might as well do a T pose because that would make it more exciting for me (at least I would get a laugh out of it). The only reason this is a 5 and not a 1 is because it very rarely lags, the idea is incredible with so much potential and possibilities. Also it works well on an older PC's which makes it more accessible to players who don't have expensive or newer computers. And the most important thing, it is free to play which helps it because if I bought this game for 30 or so dollars I would be disappointed. I hope you guys at 1047 games turn this sinking ship around, the player base is not too happy and the reviews will slowly plummet. People will stop playing the game if they see that nothing is improving. You guys are a new studio and from my perspective it is like you design a new product with a new, young business. You try your best and the group working on the product did their best, but you need to listen to the consumers and the community and try to understand and fix the issues the casual and hardcore players see in the game.
    Sure, the Reddit users love it and the (paid) influencers play it on twitch but the main problem is the lack of originality and the other issues I mentioned before that bother me and a couple of people online.
    Thank you 1047 for taking the risk and creating something interesting and new, the game needs time to flourish and grow on people, but it won't grow on me because I simply don't find the game compelling enough to play it more than 30 **** killing me from a camping spot, I grew tired of that sh*t a long time ago.    … Expand

    Gameplay is fast and fun. Very unbalanced in terms of weapons. Servers are non existent. No anti cheat so you already know how this is gonna go (actually, it already went - cheaters everywhere).

    This game has alot of potential. But after hitting level 25 and you are no longer playing with bots you can see how much a community can ruin a game. It is nearly impossible to get into a match where a few players hide in thier portals the ENTIRE game. If you couldn't see through portals and they were used just for moving around the map it would make this game sooo much better

    Very enjoyable shooter, if Halo/Portal got together to have a baby it would be splitgate. Doesnt quite capture the magic of halo but still a very good game.

    Day late and dollar short. This game is a blast to play. But it needed to come out sooner. There are soo many other free shoots out there. I think this could of been a fornite killer if it came out during that time.

To those who say it's a bad copy of Halo instead: sure, the influence is there, the developers themselves are big fans of the series, but it's not a bad copy, the game has its own identity and is proving it.

    A solid halo esk game very fun and can play for hours. Modes are good also has a good amount of room to grow.

    Splitgate is a very cool concept and it's incredibly fun. I reccomend it to anyone who enjoys FPS games.

    This game had the one major flaw that is worse than any bug or any annoying game mechanic, its the fact that it never let you play the game on release because the servers were full. WIthout that major flaw, it would be rated way higher.

    Golly, what are they doing. The Shotgun's damage is a lottery, hit registration is a joke, a majority of the maps are simply unplayable, 3/4 of the game-modes are garbage, half the matches you're playing with bots, the other half with people who've played 1000+ hours, the game respawns you in no-mans-land surrounded by portal campers, people vote for Karman Station, Takedown is aGolly, what are they doing.     A decently made arena shooter, which is taken by portal elements to a new level. It's definitely enough to be remembered, but it's not enough for the absolute top.

    Splitgate is a competitive free-to-play shooter that takes something from Halo, Portal and others to offer a fun yet pretty generic experience, supported by a large amount of content and a flexible F2P model for those who do not (yet) want to invest money in the game.
