    A top-down, turn-based tactical battler with a solid core and not much content to go around it, Special Tactics has the beginnings of something great that it can’t quite parlay into excellence.

    Special Tactics is unfortunately as middle-of-the-road as is achievable. Not knowing what you can achieve in a single turn really drags it down from being a fun experience, and it’s a little frustrating that one small change could really elevate it.

    A tactical military game in large spaces with the mentality of small ones. Not a bad game, but definitely not one of the better ones within this genre.
