A strategy game stripped from everything that’s not essential, boiled down to the essence of what’s really important in the genre. [13/2014, p.65]

Spacecom is a well-made space strategy game – minimalistic, bold, and bewitching at first sight. It makes use of simple gaming principles you manage to create sophisticated strategic approaches with, and thanks to them you crush your opponents. For what it is worth, the heart of the game is multiplayer, and few people actually play it.

Cool concept, decent multiplayer and horrible AI in the single-player campaign.

Even though it occasionally gets quite simple, it is absorbing and really challenging on the hardest difficulties.

When systems reach a certain level of complexity, they start prompting greater expectations. Why can't you set rally points to automatically ferry your newly produced units where you need them? Why can't you specify hotkeys for fleets or production centers? Why does everything need to be clicked in order to see what it's doing?

A sound concept that will attract some space strategy fans but currently lacks long term appeal.

Spacecom is a super-fun strategy game, and a truly unpretentious take on the RTS genre.

Spacecom is still fun if you’re not a social gamer, but if you plan to play by yourself exclusively I’d wait and see if it goes on sale.
