    Not a perfect game, but one of the best in the series. I had a lot of fun with her. I recommend it to every Sonic fan, as well as to beginner players who are just getting acquainted with the series!

    Чудова гра про Соніка!
    Переосмислення рівнів з попередніх частин ігор про синього їжака в новій графіці під класичний 2D стиль та сучасний буст стиль!
    Сюжет банальний але красива та кольорова графіка, крутий саундтрек та добре керування персонажем роблять цю гру чудовою. Із мінусів також можу виділити саму оптимізацію проєкту та те що не перемалювали клавіші керування під клавіатуру, я    Чудова гра про Соніка!
    Переосмислення рівнів з попередніх частин ігор про синього їжака в новій графіці під класичний 2D стиль та сучасний буст стиль!
    Сюжет банальний але красива та кольорова графіка, крутий саундтрек та добре керування персонажем роблять цю гру чудовою.     Cons:

    - The game is relatively short, maximum 2 1/2 hours if you are fast. But the first run can take 6 hours +.
    - The story is unfortunately very boring. For the most part, the main protagonists just stand around in the white nothingness and hardly interact with each other.
    - Unfortunately, you notice that the game was very rushed to the end.
    - The physics of Classic Sonic is sometimes a bit strange.
    - The final Super Sonic boss fight is SOO unspectacular, so compared to all the others, really garbage.

    So, let's get to the positive side.

    Pros:

    - The soundtrack is as always top class.
    - The graphics leave nothing to be desired, they are really great. You can tell that the engine of Sonic Unleashed has been adopted 1:1. Also that this game has 120 FPS support is really nice, especially for such a fast game.
    - The levels are really well designed. It was certainly not an easy task to transform original 2D stages into 3D and vice versa, and I really think that the Sonic team did a great job.
    - The gameplay is also mega, with Sonic taking on the gameplay that evolved from entering the Boost era and Classic Sonic feeling FAST like it did in the old Mega Drive titles back in the day.

    All in all, Sonic Generations is a really well done game, I highly recommend it to everyone.    … Expand

    Sonic Generations truly is a „Best of 20 years Sonic the Hedgehog“. With 18 levels and 90 challenges in both 2d and 3d, this game gives enough content, thats replayable enough to justify the 20 bucks pricetag. You will find it on sale regularly, so please give it a shot

    bro i think the game is a little bit overrated, its not a lot to do, the challanges after you make a theme, its nice but there is missing a big part in games like that, and because of that i like frontiers there is missing a big open world to do more in these games, only 4 hours long games? na

    Boost era at it's best, both Sonics control extremely well and the level design is some of the best in the whole series

    Unfortunately game's kinda short, would have benefited from a level pack DLC or two

    El mejor juego de Sonic actualmente. Tiene unos gráficos que actualmente sorprenden y incluso rivalizan con juegos recientes. En pc, puedes disfrutar de la tasa de fotogramas tan suave que tiene, además de tener una buena optimización. Tiene un gameplay muy satisfactorio, en este juego han aprovechado la formula moderna para recrear niveles antiguos y poder disfrutar del boost en ellos.El mejor juego de Sonic actualmente. Tiene unos gráficos que actualmente sorprenden y incluso rivalizan con juegos recientes. En pc, puedes disfrutar de la tasa de fotogramas tan suave que tiene, además de tener una buena optimización. Tiene un gameplay muy satisfactorio, en este juego han aprovechado la formula moderna para recrear niveles antiguos y poder disfrutar del boost en ellos. Tienes zonas de todo tipo basadas en juegos antiguos de Sonic para sorprenderte mas de alguna vez y ver que alguna de ellas te suena de algo (aunque en la actualidad es un poco cansado que repitan tanto las mismas zonas realmente). Las únicas pegas que puedo darle es el Boss de Shadow, ya que lo desaprovecharon de una manera inmensa al hacer ese Boss muy fácil, podría haber sido la revancha épica que parte del fandom esperaba, pero ha sido realmente muy fácil. La otra pega es el Boss final: No te hace completamente nada, la primera vez que lo juegas no sabes como hacerle daño o acercarte a el y aun así no pierdes. Por otra parte lo molesto es la típica frase de "es un disparo rastreador", donde comienza a cansar y debes silenciar las voces del juego. Teniendo esas cosas negativas, no importa al fin y al cabo. Repito que me parece el mejor juego de Sonic hecho por el momento: tiene mucha re jugabilidad, tanto en el juego original o con mods, donde puedes poner otros mapas y personajes. Es un juego brillante, donde la historia no es mala al fin y al cabo, es entretenida. Todo el layout de los mapas me parecen correctos, sin ninguna parte aburrida o mal construida: Los mapas te dejan disfrutar de la adrenalina del boost a toda velocidad.     Не знаю с чего начать, совсем, но во время игры мне настоятельно казалось что Сега просто ненавидит Соника, ибо сделать настолько ужаснейшую оптимизацию на порте случайно, просто невозможно, так же местами очень плохие гейм дизайнерские решения встречаются (в основном во второй половине игры), особенно если ты стараешься проходить всё на S ранг. Прошёл я лишь половину игры на него, далееНе знаю с чего начать, совсем, но во время игры мне настоятельно казалось что Сега просто ненавидит Соника, ибо сделать настолько ужаснейшую оптимизацию на порте случайно, просто невозможно, так же местами очень плохие гейм дизайнерские решения встречаются (в основном во второй половине игры), особенно если ты стараешься проходить всё на S ранг. Прошёл я лишь половину игры на него, далее меня это просто за#бало, так сказать, да и не знаю зачем я себя мучал так до этого. OST так же ничем не выделился для меня, ни могу вспомнить ни один трек который мне как либо запомнился. Из плюсов я могу выделить хороший дизайн уровней (но, лишь в первой трети игры) и разнообразие в боссах.
    Но если не задрачивать всё на S как это делал я (не знаю зачем) и загуглить откуда фризы для того что бы их пофиксить (+ кому-то поставить русификатор), оценка будет 7-8/10, но так только 6/10.

    The best boost formula game Sonic has to offer. The gameplay is fun, replayable, and simply solid. The only gripe I have with it, is that Modern Sonic has 2D sections. You'd think with Classic Sonic being playable that the 3D stages would be only 3D, but sadly, they aren't. However, the levels are still solid regardless.

    It seems to be an interesting game about a blue hedgehog, with two types of gameplay, where one is similar to the classic games about Sonic (albeit with broken physics), and the other is similar to the gameplay from Sonic Unleashed with boost. Developers rethought some of the old levels from the previous parts. But still it is extremely simple and short in comparison with the previous parts.

    Judging by Sonic Generations, Sega is willing and able to learn from its mistakes. The developers did not take advantage of the success of the first games of the Sega MegaDrive era, but tried to summarize all the best that happened to Sonic in 20 years of his life. They ended up doing. But also no problem.

    This is the best boost game it nails gameplay.
    Level design is amazing boost is good classic sonic feels good to control. but the story is a mixed bag. I found my self laughing at the jokes beacuse it's so bad its good. honestly anybody who likes the boost formula is obligated to play
    this game.

    La verdad es que este juego para mi es muy bueno, fue una muy buena apuesta para el 20 aniversario de nuestro erizo azul, pero si pudiera poner pros y contras serian las siguientes:
    Pros: 1) Muy buena cantidad de misiones que le da su buen toque de rejugabilidad a este juego
    2) el ofrecerte dos modos para cada jefe tanto el fácil, como el difícil para mas expertos 3) mucha variedad de    La verdad es que este juego para mi es muy bueno, fue una muy buena apuesta para el 20 aniversario de nuestro erizo azul, pero si pudiera poner pros y contras serian las siguientes:

    2) el ofrecerte dos modos para cada jefe tanto el fácil, como el difícil para mas expertos

    4) Jugabilidad excelente tanto para el sonic moderno como al clasico
    5) el hecho de que puedas comprar y ponerle varios tipos de habilidades a ambos sonics en la tienda de omochao para tener mejores experiencias
    5) el DLC del Casino para aquellos que quieran hecharse una partida de pinball si estas muy aburrido :3
    Contras:
    1) Rangos S muy faciles de conseguir en la mayoria de niveles
    2) Muy corto en lo que es historia.

Although it is easy and very short, lasting less than 3 hours, it is very good, it could be better, having more levels, more challenges, being more long-lived and having a third Sonic being the one from the Adventure era, "pre-boost" in this case, and also a much better story and setting.

    Joguin pra quem é fã das antigas e pra quem não conhece a franquia.
    Trilha sonora incrivel e nostalgiante, jogabilidade facil, frenetica e rapido.
    Porém o game apresentou alguns bugs chatos.
    Paguei 1,80, muito barato.

    This is really a fantastic game. The asset of speed is definitely present and boy is it exhilarating! The story and game play are both great and although I never grew up with this game, it showed me the full extent of what the sonic team can do. The platforming parts can be slightly annoying on some parts, but the fantastic graphics make up for that big time.

The controls on the 2D levels don't feel great and the maps are below average. 3D somehow controls worse than I had imagined, and with all of the **** people like to talk about it, that's pretty surprising. To be fair, this isn't a BAD game - if you like Sonic, you;ll probably like this too. I would not, however, recommend this to those that aren'tSonic Generations is, well, not great.     Уровни за класика не к чему. Финальный бос тупой. Но скоростные переделанные уровни за "нового" соника играются крайне приятно, хотя и казуально, да и за исключением финального неплохие.

    Sonic Generations is the first 'modern' Sonic game I've ever played. The only other Sonic games I experienced are the Genesis classics, the Advance trilogy and Mania. I decided to give this one a try since I kept hearing that this is the best 3D Sonic game. I've even seen people call it the Mario Galaxy of Sonic games, so it must be pretty amazing, right?

    As you know, this game is    Sonic Generations is the first 'modern' Sonic game I've ever played. The only other Sonic games I experienced are the Genesis classics, the Advance trilogy and Mania. I decided to give this one a try since I kept hearing that this is the best 3D Sonic game. I've even seen people call it the Mario Galaxy of Sonic games, so it must be pretty amazing, right?

    As you know, this game is divided into classic Sonic stages that resemble the Genesis games, and modern Sonic stages. Classic Sonic plays... alright. It's decently fun and responsive. But it's still hard to comprehend why the Genesis games had better physics and controls than this one. Still, the levels are mostly well done and they are enjoyable. For Sonic fans, it is really cool to see iconic levels from Sonic games reimagined into 2D or 3D versions.

    Then there's modern Sonic. Maybe it's because I'm a complete noob to these games, but I really had a terrible time getting used to the controls and physics. These feel very clunky, and the game doesn't do a good job at teaching you how to play. This is a game that you'll only get to enjoy after you played for at least 10 hours. Then, when you start getting the hang of modern Sonic controls and the overall layout of levels, it starts to become actually fun and a bit addicting. But they should have done a better job at introducing the player graudally to higher levels of challenge. Instead of that, the devs decided to make the game extremely forgiving, probably because they knew people would get very frustrated if the levels were more demanding.

    But even when you manage to get used to the controls, modern Sonic stages sometimes feel like a mix between being completely out of control, stumbling on every obstacle, and sections that are almost totally scripted, to the point where you can just release the controller and nothing will happen. It also feels like the levels needed a lot more playtesting, because as they are now, some parts feel borderline broken.

    The game has only 9 levels, with a classic version and a moden version each. That's a total of 18 regular stages, plus 7 bosses. It's not insultingly short of content, but 3 more levels would have gone a long way in making it feel more complete (and how about showing some love to the Advance games in the process?). Then there's a total of 90 challenges that take place in the main levels. Some of them are fun, some are bad, and some are just too similar to simply replaying their respective level.

    The best thing I can praise about Generations is clearly the presentation. The game looks stunning. But basically every level is based on a Sonic level from the past, so don't expect a lot of originality in regards to the art direction. The same goes for the soundtrack. which is great but relies entirely on remixes.

    Despite all the frustrating moments and the questionable level design, there's still a fun game underneath. After all, It kept me entertained long enough to play through almost every challenge. If you're willing to deal with the wonky physics and also learn the layout of the levels, you'll probably get a good amount of enjoyment out of Sonic Generations. But expect the first 10 hours or so to be more frustration than anything else, until you learn how to play.

    The PC port doesn't work very well and you have to assign PC controls yourself, which is annoying. The time attack mode just crashes the game, too. Otherwise, it's a decent enough Sonic game that'll touch on your nostalgia.

    + La sensation de vitesse est bien présente. Tant sur les niveaux 2D que 3D, on se sent rapide, foncer à une vitesse folle. Je trouve que ce qui faisait l'originalité de Sonic en tant que jeu de plateforme a été parfaitement compris pour ce jeu.

    Les points faibles :
    - Un level design assez aléatoire... Les niveaux, bien que repris des anciens jeux souffrent d'un level-design vraiment inégal, alternant les zones très agréables à parcourir avec des espaces trop exiguë ou brouillons qui sont vite un enfer cassant la fluidité du niveau ressentie jusque là...
    - Le tout associé à une maniabilité vraiment aux fraises, avec un Sonic qui n'est pas vraiment agréable à contrôler que ce soit en 2D ou en 3D, semblant parfois bégayer sur nos input alors qu'une simplicité et fluidité parfaite dans les contrôles est requise pour un jeu vendant la vitesse avant tout.
    - Une durée de vie assez misérable avec 9 niveaux qui se battent en duel avec 1 en DLC (gratuit heureusement). Malgré les divers défis annexes proposés sur chaque monde et les quelques boss, c'est difficile d'avoir envie d'y retourner avec une maniabilité et un design aussi aléatoire...
    - Le boss final ? Sérieux, pour moi c'est un défaut en soi, c'est quoi ça ? C'est vraiment ça le climax d'un jeu Sonic ? Sonic Goku en I-pose qui évite des déchets en volant dans l'espace ? Une conclusion vraiment décevante.

    Je n'ai donc vraiment pas été convaincu par Sonic Generations, n'aboutissant ni sa formule 2D ni sa formule 3D dans cet opus à cause d'une jouabilité et d'un design tellement inégal...     For the most part Sonic Generations succeeds at making a fun game! Classic Sonic controls extremely well, and Modern Sonic levels felt extremely fresh to play, especially Sega Genesis based levels. All in all. Sonic Generations is a fun game that celebrated the 20th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog and continues to be a solid game!

    With gorgeous graphics that hold up to this day, amazing music and gameplay that is incredibly fun and satisfying, Sonic Generations is one of my favourite platformers to date. The PC version is easily the best version of the game with 1080p 60 fps and tons of mods that keep the game fresh.

    Sonic Generations is the first Sonic 3D game I have completed. Got it very cheap for 6 dollars on the Steam Summer Sale, so don't spend money on Sonic Forces and play this beauty. It has all elements of the old 2D games and the 3D ones. Controls are perfect.

    The best 3D Sonic available.

    Running at 60 fps in 1080p it looks great. The music is also excellent, taking original and remixes of tracks from previous games. While Classic Sonic stages aren't as good as Mania, and the story isn't much in itself, the 3D stages play so well - even better than Colours or Unleashed. And the side missions are pretty fun too, as are the skill upgrades.

    This is the best sonic I've played. Everything is perfect in this game, the graphics, the game play, the soundtrack etc. The only problem with it was the forgettable story and how you couldn't play as other characters like Tails and Knuckles. Besides that it's still amazing.

    This is one of my favorite PC games. It's a blast, filled with great music, awesome graphics, and a large tribute to Sonic and his days throughout the past 24 years. I seriously recommend it to any Sonic fan, whether they be Classic, Adventure, or Modern. However, if you have an old PC or a bad laptop, don't expect to play this game without some graphical downgrades and/or lag.

    -THEY FIXED 06! I can't believe I'm saying this but Crisis City from 06 is an incredibly great level in both 3D and 2D, the Crisis City Classic theme is possibly the best song in the game, and it looks beautiful
    -Actually everything looks beautiful. The models, the levels, the textures, things both from 1991's Green Hill Zone to the retake on Planet Wisp look great.

    Everything looks great, everything sounds awesome, the gameplay is tons of fun and has challenge for going fast (and since the boost is so powerful, you take risks by going fast, which is exactly what made classic 2D Sonic so great, you want to go fast but don't want to die, they replicated this dilemma here with bravado), the level design has so many branching pathways, shortcuts and little surprises, set pieces and just absolutely everything with the kitchen sink, it's simply too good to count.

    The classic levels got fully remade for 3D versions and all modern levels got an excellent 2D version of themselves. Every stage has memorable level design or moments and it's literally an upgrade on EVERY SINGLE LEVEL. City Escape from SA2 was considered really good? Here it's far better in every aspect. Less rides, less watching, more branching, more running, more playing, jumping, more everything...

    I can praise this absolute masterpiece for hours and give it an easy 11/10 but I do have two gripes with it.

    One is that while the revamped, upgraded and new levels are incredibly good, the fact is that the game still needed its own level. This is a time travel game with a very simple plot, and it's a bit on the short side(although the branching pathways give it an easy 3x replayability over other platformers), so having 9 levels from other Sonic games and one specific "I'm going through time and spaaaaace!" Generations final level would've been nice. I think instead of going straight to the final boss, an Unleashed-like final level would've rocked, you could alternatively control classic and modern Sonic to reach the final boss, and it would've made the final boss a lot more memorable and meaningful.

    Other thing is the story. Sonic games always tried to have very complex stories with epic elements in the 3D games, until 06 completely destroyed that by glaringly showing Sonic Team's gross incompetence at writing a story. I don't mind that they stopped storymaking that much, but it hurts this game a bit that its music, levels, gameplay, visuals and general value are 11/10, while the story is a glaring 4/10 "I'm just here in case you want me" type of story.

    So it's an easy 9, bording on 10.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The only real problem that I had about this game is how Super Sonic works. There is no music for super Sonic and the stage music doesn't change at all. You lose 2 rings per second instead of one so you're constantly under stress that you'll lose all of your rings and Super Sonic isn't even that fast in comparison to previous Sonic games and you can't even jump that much higher as Super Sonic. When you're Modern Sonic and you try to boost, you lose 4 rings per second, and when you're boosting as Modern Sonic all you're doing is flying through the stage and you can't even control yourself, so all you're doing is pressing the boost button and watching Super Sonic fly through the stage, to me this is very boring. Other than a lame Super Sonic, Sonic Generations is a great game to play and it really makes you reminisce about past Sonic Games. The soundtrack for this game is just amazing and it really puts you in the mood for the adventures in Sonic Generations; in addition, you can purchase the complete soundtrack on iTunes!… Expand

    REVIEW: Sonic was extremely popular when I was a kid but I missed the boat the first time around. Now that I’m a responsible adult, I can waste money on video games and see what the fuss was (and still is) about. Sonic generations picks famous/infamous stages from past games and gives them to you with cinematics so mind-hurtingly stupid it will make your brain want to puke (if you get too nauseous they are skippable). But hey, I dare you to come up with a story that makes more sense and still incorporates the history/lovefest theme-at least they tried something. And while the game may lack in the story department, it makes up for it with fabulous super-high saturated environments. And some of those levels are famous for a reason: running through them is a pleasure when you figure out what path to take so you don’t have to stop.
    Unfortunately, finding that path can sometimes be a pain. Sonic has a tendency to walk (walk, mind you not run) off of platform edges when you didn’t want him to. And even discovering some paths takes more dedication than I think most would devote to what is, at its core a light game. Frustratingly, boss battles give you audio instructions on how to proceed-but this occurs while things are exploding and the music is blaring and it is usually hard to tell what is said. This led me into a few 10+ minute boss battles where I simply could not figure out what I was supposed to do (although it is easy enough that you can figure the patterns and weak points eventually without looking them up on the internet).
    Improving the value of the game is a (surprise!) devoted modding community. If this game were stand-alone I would rate it lower, but thanks to the hard work of dedicated fans your value for money goes way up. Whether you can get this game on sale or not, it is probably worth the $15 or so steam wants for it.    … Expand

    This game is just so awesome and really good if you wanna run again on some maps from the first game till Sonic Colors in 2D or 3D. The graphics of the game is just so amazing and the storyline was kinda cool and the gameplay is just so EPIC. I would DEFINITELY recommend this game to any Sonic fans. Even if you're not a Sonic fan, you should REALLY try this game out.

    The best SONIC THE HEDGEHOG game of all times, surpassing even the complete version of SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 3. This game pays tribute to Sonic in everyway and reminds us why we love him in everyway.     Though, all of those bonus levels aren't fun, and bosses are sort of letdown too, weakest area of the game being the story... i mean... bunch of cutscenes. Extra levels have their moments, some of them being equal to main levels, but many also turn out frustrating, gimmicky and boring. Bosses have moments too, but they are mostly just simple gimmicks. Cutscenes are, however, total missopportunity. Also, take note on length, which depends on how much you want to come back to replay game, or beat friends records online. Also, incredibly weak pinball DLC.

    What makes this version best, is the fact that good computer runs it on amazing framerate. Mod support deserves big note here, good ones already existing, new amazing ones still coming. And never have mods been so user friendly or safe to use. That alone adresses lenght issue.

    Sonic Generations is not just good Sonic game, this is worthy purchase for all those in need of satisfying, arcade-ish platformer. No other series has seen such an significant step-up for sake of anniversary game.    … Expand

    Sonic Generations was a considerably fun game; and also very pretty! I've played quite a lot of Sonic games over the past years and many have been very average (if not god awful) titles.     I really think SEGA and Sonic Team are listening to use. This is one of the few 3D Sonic game that has been good. It's fluid and fun which in the end really makes you feel like you are moving fast. Many complain about the boost gauge, but it really takes skill to use. Making it almost impossible to spam. Given that they had 20 years worth of material to work with the small handful of stages we were given seems almost ludicrous. And I still can't wrap my head around the fact that they included Crisis City from Sonic 2006. Still I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I'm sure anyone who likes Sonic games will too.… Expand

    Although, i will have to say a few things of why didn't i gave this game a 10/10, but 9/10. The game is short. You beat it in 6 to 7 hours. Still, i had more fun in those 6-7 hours then i had with days of Sonic 2006, Sonic 4,Shadow the hedgehog, together. I also noticed some tehnical problems aswell, like weird framedrop in some parts of the levels, but that is a really minor issue and it's ignorable, and if you want to play this game on the keyboard, good luck doing a drift with Modern Sonic. I really don't know what's up with that. The buttons that you are using for drift work fine, but when you wanna do it, it dosen't work. So thats proably the only reason i would recommend that you use a gamepad(Xbox360 one preferably), because you won't have that problem on the controller. So, overall, it's a game that must be buyed.    … Expand

First act is 2d classic sonic and second act is 3d new age sonic. The 3d stages weren't bad. They still had a few issues that the other 3d sonic games have had, such as camera bugging out every once in a while, homing goofing up, orI haven't cared for sonic in a long long time.     Best 3D sonic game hands down. It is next to Sonic 3 and Knuckles as my favorite Sonic game. PC version has 60 fps, which for a game all about speed, makes for a smooth and visually appearing experience. Even a year and a half after launch, I find myself playing this game just as much as when I got it. Easily a 10/10 for me.

Challenges aren't that interesting, i found some of them okay, but most of them are pretty mediocre and they're actuallyI love Sonic. Game demands you to pass through at least couple of challenges in order to progress. That's irritating and looks like they just wanted gamers to think, that's this game is bigger that it actually is. Because, game is really short, if you're skilled in Sonic games, you're probably gonna beat Generations in hour, or, i don't know, I'm not that good in Sonic games. So, challenges aside, game's main strength are levels. I LOVE THEM! All of them. For me, replay value is really high, i can replay Rooftop Run or Escape the City any time and i will enjoy just as much, as i enjoyed it first time. Probably even more, because in levels there are hidden, you know, things, that you notice after playing couple of times. Controls feels great, except for classic Sonic, i think, but it's not because controls has flaws, it because it's just hard to control him accurately because of really bright graphics and, well, camera should be zoomed in a little bit. But other than that, game is great and worth buying. Story is ridiculous, lazy and rushed, however, it's a game about blue Hedgehog that fighting bold Teddy Roosevelt, what more do you expect? But, to be honest, bosses are pretty easy and lazy, especially final boss, i found him hard just because i couldn't understand what was going on, and your friend's advises don't do any good. Also, remixes for Classic Sonic aren't as cool, as for Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic has some, well, i dunno how to call that kind of musics, just *music that i don't really like* yeap, that's solves that, while Modern Sonic got bad-ass guitars, violins and pianos, and freaking vocal songs. I honestly can listen some of them outside game. PC port is solid, graphics are awesome and controls are actually pretty comfortable for keyboard. In fact, maybe it's for PC, or it's just me, but i found controls for Joypad a bit laggy and i prefer keyboard. So, basically, i really want to rate this game higher, because, well, it's a real come back from a hero of my childhood, that everybody considered pretty much dead. Can't wait for the next installment (not counting Sonic the Hedgehog 4).… Expand

    Great graphics. Good voice acting. Great models. Great use of unique Classic and Modern Gameplay where Classic shines out it's charm and funs missions that you want get bored of until the Red Rings show up. The only cirticms is a stupid story and a terrible, TERRIBLE Last boss.

If you are a sonic fan and you play it since the first game you will simply love this game... you will see your entire childhood pass in front of you in this great anniversary party for Sonic. If you are not a Sonic fan, you can remove 1 or 2 points (it remains a very good game though). A bit buggy sometimes.

    The game started off really well. As I played through Green Hill and Chemical Plant recreations I was about to come in my pants. Then something horrible happened. They decided that the rest of Sonic's days were equally memorable and deserved a proportional part of the game. The artistic design and music are also impeccable. Before I conclude, the ending boss was so stupid that I felt it merited a special mention. It was one the worst boss ideas I have ever seen in any game. You just hold down a button to boost and wait to reach the end three times. I was about to give this game an 8 but that alone made it drop down a point. I am sincerely surprised that in a game with such polish all around nobody realized how lacking that boss fight is. Sega have proven to be very peculiar, talented but misguided over the years thanks to horrible ideas.… Expand

    I have an older MS usb controller. This game did not like that at all. Game seemed to run at 30fps - either that or it had severe rendering problems.
