    bad game, full of bugs, the stealth mode doesn't work the animations are rubbish, the graphics horrible even for year 2010

    I've decided to try and play this franchise because of how much i liked Snper Elite. I saw most of the games on sale soo i bought 4 of them, and decided to start with the first one just to get the feel for it. The story was bland, boring. Gameplay was ok for a 2010 game. But... i coudln't finish it, everytime i reach one of the missions where it demands me to be stealth,    Score: 4.1

    I saw most of the games on sale soo i bought 4 of them, and decided to start with the first one just to get the feel for it.
    The story was bland, boring.
    Gameplay was ok for a 2010 game.
    But... i coudln't finish it, everytime i reach one of the missions where it demands me to be stealth, if i get caught, it loops me back to the point where i got caught, making me run an infinite loop until i restart the mission...
    This happened to me like 5 times in diferent missions.
    I gave up and i'm gonna fast forward to the next one, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2, see if i like it more    … Expand

    one of the worst games I've played. I really tried to play it for 2 hours but couldn't bare this game anymore is just bad bad bad overall the mechanics are bad, shooting is bad the enemy AI is just bad nothing is good in this game

    Игра полный мусор, вся стрельба кривая из автомата просто невозможно стрелять. У снайперской винтовки есть поправка на ветер но нет поправки если цель в движении, у пули не физики.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Bueno, después de haber jugado unas 6 horas al juego y haberlo terminado eh decidido hacer esta reseña en base a mi experiencia dentro del mismo.

    ¿Que es Sniper Ghost Warrior?

    Para empezar Sniper Ghost Warrior es una mezcla de tres juegos que son Sniper Elite , COD:MW y crysis pero mal llevado, ¿a que me refiero con mal llevado? Simplemente no tiene nada de lo que hace grandes a los juegos mencionados anteriormente. El sigilo es un chiste, la acción estilo COD esta mal echa ya que se te hace imposible disparar con algunas armas haciendo el juego difícil de jugar y los niveles se ven que estaban echos para ser mas grandes pero llega un momento en que es un carril contiguo. Incluso en algunos niveles la IA te mata por que al juego le da la gana que es otra cosa que tocaremos mas adelante.

    Apartado Gráfico

    Los gráficos del juego son mediocres hasta para la época en la que salio, es decir un juego de 2010 no puede tener gráficos de la generación de ps2... Aparte de tener mucho poping las animaciones de las cinemáticas y de los personajes son mediocres y de risa, creo que fue lo que mas me divirtió del juego.

    Apartado Técnico

    Dejando los gráficos aparte la IA del juego es una basura, a veces los tíos te descubren por que si y otras veces pasas por delante de ellos y ni te ven, luego a la hora de disparar hay veces que no dan ni una como derrepente te dan todas... El juego es un chiste con patas. Muchas veces e visto mis enemigos dar vueltas sobre si mismos haciendo lo que yo llamaría el corro de la patata.

    Bugs

    En el tema de bugs no hay muchos pero sobretodo hay en la colisión de cuerpos con el entorno. Los cuerpos empiezan a volar o a desaparecer por arte de magia. Y uno muy gracioso de que el menú y los créditos están del revés...

    Historia

    Si alguien va a jugarlo que pase de largo esto. El juego te cuenta la historia de varios personajes dando a entender que el protagonista es el sargento Tyler Wells en su misión de acabar con un dictador sudamericano que esta utilizando a su población para extraer uranio con el fin de crear ojivas nucleares. Típica trama americana donde en mitad del juego por arte de magia un agente infiltrado traiciona a nuestro personaje e intenta matarlo(Esta parte es muy graciosa por que "no es esperable ni nada"). Total que nuestro protagonista es salvado por unos tíos que aparecen de la nada y no son mencionados en ningún momento de la trama. Al final los power rangers y tu os aliáis y matáis al traidor en una cinemática "muy realista". Luego de eso el juego se va notando mas que carece de narrativa y concluimos salvando a los civiles y matando al caudillo con nuestro francotirador dando paso un fondo en negro con las letras FIN

    Gameplay

    Bueno vamos a terminar con lo mas importante el gampelay. Es aquí donde el juego se salva algo, la sensación de disparo con el francotirador y las misiones de francotirador a excepción de 1 u 2 son bastante gratificantes. No es lo mejor que eh jugado en mi vida como puede ser Sniper elite pero se deja jugar bastante pero lo demás es un ZERO a la izquierda. Se nota que solo se centraron en pulir la mecánica de sniper y lo demás fue añadido a fuerza...

    Conclusión

    Dejando un lado sus gráficos y su inexistente hilo narrativo el juego no es una basura completamente pero si que no recomendaría comprarlo a no ser que este rebajado a 1 euro sin mas que decir es pero que os haya servido mi análisis. Un plaser.

    This is the best frustration simulator ever. If you want to suffer, try this. The game is horrible. I think SGW 2 and Contracts are way, way better than this sh*t. But also I understand that people might like it.

    Worst checkpoints in gaming history. Get whoever did the checkpoint saves for this game, and get rid of them to save the company, and make sure they don't work in the games industry ever again.

    Sniper: Ghost Warrior drops you into the beautiful jungles of a dangerous fictitious land, yet also into an extremely boring story, into mindless shooting and into poorly executed sections.

    Jogo em si e muito divertido (as primeira partes), depois vai ficando cansativo, os gráfico pela época e bom, historia + ou -, e som péssimos, em minha opinião não recomendo zerar esse jogo chato

    Sniper Ghost Warrior may be fun for gamers who won't mind to encounter some issues that could ruin the enjoyment from this game. But for me? I can spend a little time for it but the control, navigation and the environment of SGW are just too faulty and buggy to be enjoyed on its maximum potential. Additionally, the AI can be too stupid or too smart -- you can shoot anyone with a loudSniper Ghost Warrior may be fun for gamers who won't mind to encounter some issues that could ruin the enjoyment from this game.     PS, I have a mid-tier unit that can run any games esp if it's several years old, but yeah my unit is still coughing blood just trying to run this 2010 game on medium graphics.    … Expand

    A really miserable waste of time. If you do need to play sniper games, go for Sniper elite v3. The graphics are pathetic, AI is too good or too crappy, stealth mechanics are horrible and too many bugs.

Okay, close down SGW and start up my program that locks the cursor. Start it back up, get through the tutorial. okay fun. Guy commanding you what to do at every moment. Well that's annoying.     PC FOV is unbearable, and there is no fix, not even by editing files. Developers on Steam not only refuse to acknowledge that it needs to be fixed, but also make jokes (some sexual) about the people asking for a FOV fix.

    Enemies themselves are pathetic in fights, and it should be simple for any gamer to simply kill everyone. It's easier than trying to sneak through, considering how bad the stealth mechanics are.

    The final nail in the coffin is that Ghost Warrior is heavily scripted. Your character will do things without your control in mini cutscenes, and usually it ends up landing you in trouble or setting you up for an especially broken mission where every enemy is automatically aware of your presence.

There is no sneaking around trying to find the perfect shot, the game holds you hand and guides you through a safe path on every "sneaking" level and puts you in position to succeed every time. There is no player choice. Also, only about 60% of the game is sniping. The remainder is CoD-esque firefights where you're forced to use an assault rifle (which are complete garbage) to get through the level. These are easily the worst experiences in the game. The weapons are so bad, and the effects are so horrid, that it makes playing through these levels an absolute chore. On top of all this, the game is riddled with bugs and glitches. Sound become de-synced, graphics, glitch, AI derps, it's all there. Sniper Ghost Warrior is an average game that becomes below average due to the massive amount of bugs present therein.… Expand

    The main issue with the game is that it's a bad shooter and that this portion is too big in the game.
    On top of that it's hard to make out enemies when your mission involves killing 20 of them which are really angry and they hit you from 200 yards away with assault rifles, no problem.

    I got this game because I love sniping, camping and taking down the enemy without him knowing where I am is the only thing I love in shooters. But this is a game that would be average in the 1990's.. The AI is so simple and dumb; even if you are 3 miles away sniping, if you are not hidden in dense vegetation, they can see you and have a perfect accuracy with machine gun while you try toI got this game because I love sniping, camping and taking down the enemy without him knowing where I am is the only thing I love in shooters. But this is a game that would be average in the 1990's.. The AI is so simple and dumb; even if you are 3 miles away sniping, if you are not hidden in dense vegetation, they can see you and have a perfect accuracy with machine gun while you try to snipe them! You can't take 3 steps without getting a collision bug and that is not exaggerating.. You will either walk through big rocks or will get stuck on a perfectly flat floor, plus you can't "climb" stairs crouched.. You can spot enemies on your radar but even after 6 hours of gameplay, you wont know how it works cause it sometimes automatically reveal them a mile away and sometime having the NPC 2 meters in front of you in plain sight wont still show him.. You will have more fun playing CoD or Crysis and adapting your play style then playing this. Avoid the frustration, bugs and the game!… Expand

    I like being a sniper and this has bullet drop and wind to take into account. Except, it doesn't it works it out for you and puts a little dot on the screen. The first mission opened well and I was enjoying it, it looked ok the plot was bull but you get used to that.

    Then I got to the oilrig mission, no sniping, just a badly implemented run and gun, and is it me or are the AI either    I like being a sniper and this has bullet drop and wind to take into account. Except, it doesn't it works it out for you and puts a little dot on the screen. The first mission opened well and I was enjoying it, it looked ok the plot was bull but you get used to that.

    Then I got to the oilrig mission, no sniping, just a badly implemented run and gun, and is it me or are the AI either brilliant or idiots? Amazing shots at huge ranges but dumb as a post when you shoot the bloke next to them.

    Invisible walls and getting caught on the scenery didn't help. Neither did the semi-QTE's (shoot NOW!) or how the AI can hit you 300m away with an AK and you cant shoot back because the screen's shaking.

    This game has a lot of potential in certain areas. However a very poor story and a few poor mechanics really hold the game. It could be worth a shot, one moment it is quite enjoyable and the next an invisible wall is stopping you from hitting someone.

    This game is a sub-standard FPS but worse. Some of the worst A.I i've ever seen, horrible levels, glitches, a non-existent story with a laughably bad ending, there's not a single thing that this game does well. Sadly, everyone bought in on the sniper gimmick and now a sequel is on the way.

    This game has/had potential. Unrealized potential unfortunately. The FOV used in the game is a bit off giving you a feeling of nausea after a little time playing. The game mechanics were okay, but the AI was terrible. The story line was cliche and rather linear.

    game is very slow and bad and not interesting at all.

    I had low expectations when i started this game but after 10 min i was hooked. Sneaking around in a beautiful jungle taking down enemies one by one as silent as possible seemed great. The game was gorgeous to look at and the sniping was incredibly satisfying. There were some bug and invisible walls here and there but the overall experience was great. At times the AI will be incredibly dumb and will barely notice you while you are walking beside them. Making the game beyond easy on the hardest difficult setting. And at other times the AI goes into full god mode being able to see you and shoot you in bushes several hundred meters away. This gets especially annoying on the missions where you play as a normal soldier since they are more linear, and lets not even talk about the friendly AI. I would go as far as to say that the game is broken on the harder difficulty simply because of the AI. If you are not looking for a challenge and simply want to cruise around the islands shooting bad guys then you can still probably have a good time with the game, otherwise i would recommend that you stay away from this game.… Expand

    The graphics were amazing! The maps are huge... Everything else is just FLAWED. Somehow on maps bigger than the planet earth the game is still extremely linear. There is no such thing as stealth, you can be 800 meters away from a target and feeling stupid about taking that precaution.... until everyone in that general direction starts abruptly **** bullets at you for no reason what soThe graphics were amazing! You can try to go to the edge of the grass if you haven't already been seen by everyone on the planet earth while trying to keep concealed but **** it if you're not dead already you're going to be, cause the only way to see out of the grass is to BE out of the grass. Now lets climb **** on the way to our objective which, by the way is not even disclosed. **** IT, LET'S JUST SHOOT **** I had high ****ing hopes :(

    Garbage! Graphics look nice, concept seems great, execution is horribly lacking. Gameplay is clunky, AI is absolutely horrible, multiplayer is tedious IF you can find a server with people playing. Not even worth it on a Steam sale.

    It's one of the good sniper games out there, providing hours of fun. The low price suggests a good bargain, which it is, but just don't expect a premium title.
