Sadly the Second Strike DLC will not be able to save Sniper: Ghost Warrior due to the bad reviews and the still underdeveloped multiplayer mode. Who already owns the game or is able to get ahold of it as a good deal should definitely give it a second look. Especially the added features in the multiplayer mode added a lot to the game.

What it brought to the game, was what everyone wanted. New campaign brought three missions that took me twice as long as missions in base game, better story that was centered around the real problem in South America (It was connected to the main game, but ditched the whole nuclear weapons theme), slightly improved AI that in the begging felt normal, but after first 20 minutes, you realized that the game was actually harder, especially sneaking, no unnecesary action scenes, where you have to go rambo style and more open level design that gave you options, how to sneak around. Also it improved the multiplayer and gave a 'challenge map' where you even lost radar and it limited your hud even more. Still the were issues with movement and voice acting, but that shouldn't stop you from playing it.

The two hours I spent playing this DLC felt a lot better than the whole playthrough of the main campaign. If the single-player experience was more like this in the main campaign, Sniper: Ghost Warrior might have been in green numbers.
