    Despite it's various drawbacks, Smugglers 5 is an impressive and exceedingly addictive game.

    A turn-based, space trading and combat title which benefits from its open-ended nature and undemanding PC requirements. Aspects of the dynamic universe are too detached, and the combat doesn’t hold up forever, but these shortcomings do not undermine Smugglers V’s laudable player freedom.

    Brilliantly written vignettes set in the Smugglers universe are sadly not supported by an adequately designed gameplay, which sinks the game into dullness. [Issue#237]

    The game locks up and crashes constantly.If you check the forums,and you really should before paying even $1 for this game,you'll find theresThe game locks up and crashes constantly.If you check the forums,and you really should before paying even $1 for this game,you'll find theres more than a few players who simply cant play the game due to a bug that the devs seem unable to fix "cannot generate a visible modal window",or some such....

    the devs however where able to make and try and sell a new version of the game.....You;d be smart to not buy either,or any other game product from this team    … Full Review »

    A simple yet fun to play space trading/combat game. It's got a lot going for it: Lots of careers to pick from, exponentially augmented by aA simple yet fun to play space trading/combat game. It's got a lot going for it: Lots of careers to pick from, exponentially augmented by a number of available factions; freedom to explore the game universe; very easy learning curve with simple, intuitive controls; reasonably achievable goals; possibility to save anytime except during the turn base combat. So, why 8 and not 10? Well, it's too easy to figure a winning strategy; I got my faction to win the war at my second try. This is not to conductive to replay unless your only goal is to try all possible careers in all existing factions basically using the same winning strategy. Secondly, success in combat is too dependent on luck for my taste. This is somewhat compensated by the ability to reload but it takes away from any sense of achievement. Regardless, for the price, it's certainly one of the best game I played in this genre.… Full Review »
