Mar 2, 2021With the free 2nd Encore update, I finally found my main in Robo Fortune. I liked the game previously, but now I absolutely adore it! I'm not the most fighting game savvy guy, but darn Skull Girls is just so fun!

Nov 23, 2013Hands down the most fun I've had in a fighting game. Excellent characters, beautiful and fluid animations. Every character feels very unique and thematic. Fighting mechanics are amazing and have a lot of depth to them. Net code is amazing and allows my friends and I to play around the world with minimal lag.

Jan 1, 2014Just to spite the people making 0 scored reviews because they got beat online.
Those people make metacritic such a hard site to gauge the quality of a game because they make spite reviews for no reason, and especially 0 scored reviews just because they didn't like something small about the game, and blew it up into a big problem when there is none. -

Feb 28, 2014The art and game-play are both amazing. Great touch of having the beta to be accessed, and the game is kept up-to-date in steam. I totally recommend this game to both new and old fighters.

Jun 18, 2015Know what Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is? That's pretty much this game. BUT... its as close to that game as Minecraft is to Lego Worlds (look it up). You can choose from 1-3 characters, less characters means more power. It has really great looking hand-drawn sprites. Glorious music. & of course, an amazing battle system. & less than 7.2 million characters to choose from like MvC2. There's like, 10.

Jun 18, 2014A very good fighting game, and very creative. It has a lot more potential then it's using, and its already uses a lot. I recommend you get this great game.

Dec 23, 2021Cute art and sprites, very frenetic gameplay and interesting mechanics. It's a good crossover of classic fighting games. A must have

Feb 19, 2020Fantastic visuals, solid character selection, wonderful music and tight combat. Great fighter.

Nov 17, 2013Skullgirls is nothing revolutionary. It's a slightly annoying if otherwise polished fighting game. If you're looking for fluidly drawn fighting fighting breasts then Vanguard Princess is a better bet. If you're in it for the gameplay and enjoy fighters then you'll probably enjoy this but just don't expect anything special.

Nov 24, 2020Skullgirls has crafted some of the most charming and fun characters brought to life with stunning hand-drawn animation. While the world and characters are brilliant, I can only enjoy the gameplay in short bursts and can struggle to entertain me while I play by myself.

Oct 30, 2013A sharp, snazzy and accessible fighting game, held back by the unnecessary sexualisation of its antagonists.
-
CD-ActionOct 16, 2013A fighting game that should appeal to everyone regardless of their experience with the genre. Friendly to newcomers (but it does not reward button mashing) and deep enough for the seasoned enthusiasts. [11/2013, p.82]

Sep 13, 2013An atypical fighting game, but one of the best that you can play to introduce yourself to the genre.
