Shatter is a brilliant expansion to traditional arcade-style gameplay, and how often can you say that a new contender has improved on a classic?
-
In short, Shatter is a really enjoyable re-imagining of a time-tested genre that adds the fun of physics, snazzy graphics, and a phenomenal soundtrack to a favorite classic.
-
If you have enjoyed any version of Arkanoid, or Breakout, then Shatter is worth a purchase. It might even be worth it for some people that don’t even enjoy the genre that much, it is that good.
-
Shatter’s Story Mode is really just an appetizer. Additional modes are the most addictive things in this game.
-
If you are a fan of this genre then you will love Shatter to bits (bad joke, I know), but even if you don't like these 'break out' type affairs, giving Shatter a go would really be worth your time.
-
It's fairly priced and deserves to be enjoyed for all of its arcadey goodness.
-
It's not a whole lot of replay value, but it's something — and for a $10 retro-inspired arcade-style game, that certainly doesn't suck. Or blow.
