    This is not a good game. Not bad, not terrible, just painfully mediocre, criminally linear and scandalic short. Definitely not worth 39$.

    They killed the franchise made it a total doom clone.
    I could see that quality was getting lower in shadow warrior 2 with all the feminist **** but this is something else words can't describe how bad and soulless this game is

    Ok, where do I start? The game has the "straight-to-the-point" gameplay with no replay value, no collectibles, no secret areas, and no FORTUNE COOKIES. It could've had more features than the last Shadow Warrior. I'm disappointed to say that Shadow Warrior 2 is honestly better, no doubt. 4/10, I gave it a 4, cause this isn't the worst I've seen.

    The combat is amazing and has awesome variety. The gore weapons especially work really well. The movement feels responsive and the controls are very fluid. The level design feels more focused and well emphasized and the environments look great. The voice acting is surprisingly well done especially from Mike Moh as Lo Wang.
    Cons- The game is unforgivably short. I beat it on    Good-

    Cons-
    The game is unforgivably short. I beat it on medium difficulty in 5 hours. Makes it worse that there are no extra modes besides replaying the campaign and even then you can only start from the beginning. Some of the dialogue and jokes come off more cringe than funny. The story is full of plot holes especially if you like Shadow Warrior 2. The levels are extremely linear with no secrets or extras to find. Certain characters feel underutilized or used only for jokes like Motoko.

    Thoughts-
    Shadow Warrior 3 is more than just a step up from its predecessor – it’s ultimately a different direction that still maintains the series’ penchant for humor and bloodshed. If an action-packed, no-frills first person shooter that doesn’t take itself too seriously sounds like a good time, then this may be worth a look. If nothing else, it’s a fun pit-stop in a year packed with massive experiences.    … Expand

    My rating seem kinda harsh, and I guess it is, but this is NOT Shadow Warrior.
    Almost everything that made the previous 2 games good has been stripped out. Chi attacks? basically gone. Directional sword play and decapitation? also gone. A cohesive story? gone.     I honestly dont really care that much about the game length, as long as the game is good and a worthy sequel, but it's NOT a worthy sequel. It seems they wanted to prioritize saving money because the budget on this game is incredibly small with very few characters compared to either of the previous games. The story seems to be completely an afterthought, with the entire focus being on the repetitive combat in small preset circular arenas.
    On top of this, it has horrific prerendered cutscenes that are extremely jarring for those familiar with Shadow Warrior.

    2/10 - It's more Duke Nukem Forever than Shadow Warrior.    … Expand

    Итак, после неплохой, но средней первой части, разрабы решили полностью поменять концепцию и сделать геймплей первой части более казуальным, сразу говорю, это не совсем тот шутер, который был в 2013! Он тоже неплох, но по своему, разрабы упростили боёвку до максимума, но при этом максимизировав динамику геймплея, также помножили мясо, летящее от разрубленных противников в x100.    7,2/10

    Итак, после неплохой, но средней первой части, разрабы решили полностью поменять концепцию и сделать геймплей первой части более казуальным, сразу говорю, это не совсем тот шутер, который был в 2013! Он тоже неплох, но по своему, разрабы упростили боёвку до максимума, но при этом максимизировав динамику геймплея, также помножили мясо, летящее от разрубленных противников в x100. Катаной вы теперь бьёте только правой кнопкой, одновременно держа в руках огнестрельное оружие, бесполезной в 1 части магией ци тоже стреляете в одну кнопку, револьвер сверхточный, даже взрывоопасные бочки, помоему, теперь не наносят урон, ну зато гиганты теперь не бесят, они не очень оверхепешнутые и от них легко убегать, ещё здоровье не надо восстанавливать самому, цветки здоровья сами бесконечно респаунятся на карте.
    Теперь локации представляют собой малюсенькие арены, на которых есть прикольные ловушки и кольца для крюка-кошки, но всё равно они достаточно пустые и мало с чем можно взаимодействовать (В этом главный минус геймплея).
    Между аренам мы ходим по поддонам и мостикам, как в раннере..как в игре Ghost Runner, кстати. Сама концепция такого разрушенного города в горах очень крутая, перемещаться по локациям и лицезреть нынешние виды приятно, даже тем кто не особо любит азиатскую культуру, хотя тут есть ещё минус, что локации очень линейные и залезть на какую-то соседнюю гору нельзя, что делает нахождение секретов неинтересным, и, естественно, ни о каких весёлых печеньках с шутками из первой части тут не может быть и речи)+Локации к середине игры начинают быть скучными.
    Сразу ещё скажу про графику, она плохая, пиксельная, но оптимизация хорошая, фпс особо не проседает, на ссд загрузки очень быстрые, но очень часто в моменты паркура ты просто не долетаешь миллиметр и умираешь, это может немног подбесить.
    Сюжет вроде бы продолжает первую часть, он такой же очень простой, необязательный, но юмор тут очень тупой и его хочется скипнуть постоянно, а в оригинале он был хорошим. Катсцены неплохие, но они не на внутреннем движке игра, а как клипы, что выглядит странно.
    Вообще по назначению кнопок и прокачке тут очень всё знакомо для тех, кто недавно играл в первую часть. Дизайн каких-то оружий прикольный, каких-то слабый, например, узишки выглядит очень как-то "фотрнайтовско", в первой части тоже не все оружия были кайфовыми, но тут хотя-бы у главного оружия шутеров - дробовика, крутой внешний вид! А вот дизайн противников тут тоже слабоват.

    В общем, получился очень кайфовый геймплей на любителя, расслабиться на пару вечерков, но игра могла бы быть гораздо лучше, если бы постарались.

    Shadow Wariror 1 and 2 are my favorite shooter, even though they are different I realy liked both of them. Shadow Warior 3 is a cheap uninpired arena shooter. A pathetic attempt at a sequel and an insult to the serie.

    Yes, I know the game is really short and yes they changed the voice actors because of cultural background reasons. But I'm gonna judge this game not based of its pricing but based of its quality as a video game. I did not have a single problem with the change of voice actors, I've heard comments saying this is some woke stuff but I don't see it that way. The devs were unable to get an actual asian to play Lo Wang back in the 2 games but now they can and they did it. Mike Moh is a great voice actor and if you never told me that they changed the actor, I wouldn't have noticed (Also ProZD is in this). The pacing of this game is relentless with minor cutscenes that won't get you bored at all. I finished this game in one sitting and never even realized that I've played for 6 hours, that is how well paced the game is.

    GAMEPLAY
    It's the best gameplay Shadow Warrior has ever had. The fact that they took massive inspiration from Doom Eternal was great (learn from the best). Use your katana to gain ammo, switch between weapons quickly to kill specific enemies, keep moving to not die, it takes heavy inspiration from Doom Eternal and it clearly shows it. It improved on some things from Doom Eternals like environmental kills and some other things. The skill tree is very simple
    but that's actually a good thing cuz it fits with the length of the game and if it's too deep and complex, it wouldn't fit at all. There are only a few problems I have with the gameplay tho.
    1. The grappling hook is ****
    It never feels dynamic or smooth and it also ruins the momentum of the parkour sequences and combat encounters. They should've taken the similar route of Ghostrunner which was perfect.
    2. The amount of "glory kills" animation is very little
    3. There are parts where the game gets a little broken and clunky

    SOUNDTRACK
    Not on the same level as Doom but pretty good

    STORY
    You really care about story? alright, the story is stupid, in a funny way. The dialogues between characters are now funnier than the previous 2 games (I thought the previous 2 "jokes" were cringey, this 1 is better). The overall plot is extremely generic but then again, who cares about story in a **** shooter game. It's funny for the most part and it does a great job to not get in the way of the gameplay.

    So that's it, it's a good game. Just not something I would recommend on full price tho. Wait for it to drop to 30$ and then get it. There's no replayability, no harder difficulties and no new game+, which is a big oof    … Expand

    Shadow Warrior 3 is an excellent FPS, perfect mix of action and platforming. Environmental kills are fun tu use. Graphically it makes a huge impression. The world is amazing, colorful just as enemies. Gore Tools mechanic are awesome. I hope the next part will be a longer repeat of what you presented in this part. 10/10

    A very fun shooter that knows what it is and does it well. Nothing groundbreaking or new and that's they way I like it from theae type of games. Of it isn't broken don't try and reinvent it. A good time and free on PS Now on PS5 & PS4.

    The moment I saw the Cal arts artwork with the guy with gross band aids over his face I was worried about this game...The tone is complete off in thus third game most likely due to puriton PC Devs , it's not funny and not even vulgar like the first games..Them there the messy gameplay. The game is tring to be Doom but feels like drunk doom..Also the game is short.     Прошёл игру за 5 часов. Отличное продолжение с огромным количеством значительных изменений. Появились нормальные катсцены. Геймплей стал боллее быстрым и теперь игра больше похожа на дум.

    This is a really fun game. The chats in the platform areas are amazing. Makes me laugh a lot. The graphics are fantastic for a AA title. Really beauty scenarios, nice animations. And the cutscenes are without a single doubt a complete show. It’s short, and it loses something’s to games similar like DOOM, but it make me want to play it more and more. Thankfully this has been mostly fixed with patches, so if this put you off at release it's mostly safe to try again.

    Shadow Warrior 3 isn't a bad game, it's just not particularly good in any area, it's a completely forgettable experience that mercifully only lasted about 5 hours, although charging £35 for a 5 hour game is disgusting.

    I was a big fan of Shadow Warrior 2 but sadly 3 just feels like a downgrade in almost every area, you can tell it had a much lower budget and major cut backs were made as a result. There just needed to be more, more enemy types, more weapons, more customization and just more wang in general. And speaking of wang, the voice actor was replaced because he wasn't Asian which is just being woke for the sake of being woke.

    Shadow Warrior 3 reminds me of Doom 2016 and Eternal but without the oomph, it lacks punch in every aspect, weapons don't have any impact, glory kills lack weight and there's so little variety in animation. The gameplay is also very repetitive, mostly because the levels are all exactly the same. Little bit of parkour > cutscene > big room > kill enemies > cutscene > more parkour > big room > kills enemies etc etc. And speaking of cutscenes, there are a lot of them, it feels like half the game is cutscenes and they're very intrusive, often going back and forth between gameplay and cutscene in an unpleasant way.

    Overall Shadow Warrior 3 is fine, but ultimately a game I will never think about again after this review, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it at full price, this is a wait for a deep sale.    … Expand

    Great humor, great action movie, great shooter. I missed the plot. So 9 out of 10. Just a little bit more and they will make this game a great sweetener DoomQuakeSeious Sam and so on...

    Graphically this game is stunning and the combat is very fluid. I found the writing to be very drab and its attempts at being funny falling extremely flat. If your a 12yo kid you may enjoy this game.

    As a fan of the Shadow Warrior series, I'm sadly more disappointed with the long awaited third game than anything else. Especially it has it's positive sides and these sides are amazing.
    The combat is fun as hell. It's clearly copied from Doom Eternal, but it works and is amazing. The game is also beautiful, also because the whole art direction and enemy design is great.     But these good sides are cleary overshadowed by its downsides. The biggest one is that the game is incredibly short. You can easily finish it in under 5 hours. Which is almost a joke considering its price and how long the two previous games were.
    In addition to that is that the whole game feels like it could have been more. You basically just run from combat arena to combat arena, with small plattforming sections in between. The game is as linear as it can be. No secrets, nothing to explore. Even the also linear first game had big levels you were free to explore. But in this game it's just sad.
    What's also sad is how simplified and reduced the melee combat is. Slaying the demons was always a satisfying highlight in the previous games. But here you only use the katana as some sort of skill to kill smaller enemies to get ammunition - exactly like the chainsaw in Doom Eternal.
    On top of that I encountered a game breaking bug, in which I respawned at the wrong checkpoint and a script didn't load anymore so I was unable to progress.    … Expand

    Extremally medicore shooter with numerous bugs, problems, stutter and texture popping. Dialogues might actually be worse than borderlands 3 and that's saying something. Story is basic as it gets, characters are unlikable and poorly written, combat tries to emulate doom but only shows how hard it can be, soundtrack is meh, locations are beautiful and badly designed at the same time.Extremally medicore shooter with numerous bugs, problems, stutter and texture popping.     Visual (8/10) Design in game is awesomely good, at least for me. Characters, different demons, all locations are extremely colorful and fancy. I really enjoyed what I see on screen. But I don't like that all arenas are quite small, except 3-4 arenas on final stage. Also music is quite average for shooters, it feels good in game, but I hardly can remember songs after. In game interface is cut, you can upgrade some stats or weapons in old fashioned menu it contrasts to other game it ruins atmosphere, but not so badly.

    Gameplay (6/10) Gameplay is typical for fast shooters. You have 6 weapons, smth like 12-15 enemy types, press-q-to-kill ability, grappling hook and chi strike to get out from crowd. That's all you need for fun, really I've enjoyed all this arsenal and I can say that no odd mechanics here you will use all of this very often. Of course you can just run and shoot like in Serious Sam but the game is very dynamic so you will be just hanging around the arena and kill all enemies. Game is quite short, but the good point - you will not be tired of it. On the other hand the whole game is series of arenas, quite similar, some boss fights(fun part) and that's all. Nothing new with game difficulties - just more hp for enemies and less ammo for you. NO challenge. And this is huge minus for this game - it's fun, but no challenge, no new game+, no need to ply in it more than 1 time. So that's why it is so average.

    Story(7/10) Story here is mix of stand up jokes, parody on marvel and previous game in series. No need to understand what is going on, but some jokes were good. Characters are quite unique and memorable. All in all adventure is good background for this and it's good.

    The game is good but now we are in 2022 and we have doom eternal which is much much better and you can replay it a lot. It feels more like indie parody on AAA titles, I think everyone should try this game with discount -50% but not for full price    … Expand

    It is a short and suprisingly different game than Shadow Warrior 2. But it still delivered a fast-paced gameplay with solid graphics and a decent story.

    Short game with a loose storyline if we can even call it... but the most disappointing thing about this game is the change in the voice actor who did the first two. there's also a notable shift in humour... it's less crude and honest and somewhat subdued compared to the first two.

    A very different game from 2 (borderlands like looter shooter). Heavily inspired by 2016+ Doom games. Fun, for what it was - a one time ride through a themepark. Recommend playing on hard difficulty, as theres very little replay value.

    It's nice to switch off and enjoy the joy of movement, spoiled by a few poorly placed checkpoints. It's nice to slaughter hordes of demons in generic arenas with a small arsenal of weapons. It's nice to occasionally save a world that you yourself have thrown into terrible trouble. We all have a little Lo Wang in us. [Issue#318]

    Lo Wang is a child of another age, when shooters were lightning-paced and enemies had no qualms about hitting you from behind or covering the entire area with projectiles. So, it will be difficult for him to gain popularity among the crowd raised on slow-paced cover-based shooters, but hey – Wang never backs down from a challenge. [Issue#259, p.70]

    The game lacks a bit of depth in almost everything it tries to do, but it's still a ton of fun and a good game to try if you fancy the "Boomer Shooter" games genre. Lo Wang and Shadow Warrior's third installment could've been a bit more polished, but it's still a fun experience.
