Challenging and a lot of fun a real head scratching not because its confusing but because master two characters at once is really hard. It is a truly unique game to play and even better to play with friends with a very calming musical score and a fairly interesting plot.

Shadow Puppeteer is a awesome game! It have a beautiful design and a new and unique gameplay with kind of a creepy Tim Burton movie feeling. I played in single mode and did not have any problems coordinate the two characters. Playing with two characters at the same time is not a struggle just double the fun ;D I recommend to give this game a chance and check it out! Expand

I was expecting something for the brain, instead I found myself in a vulgar platformer. One with dreadful controls on top of that. The pad controls the 2 characters simultaneously instead of via a switch, which is why one is never quite sure if he'll be moving the boy or the shadow. I repeat, this is not a puzzles game but something that requires the manual coordination of a professionalI was expecting something for the brain, instead I found myself in a vulgar platformer. I'm not kidding. You might think that jumping 30 times in a row until you succeed will get you somewhere, but this has been made by an arcade game designer, and these guys can't resist the dick move of not allowing you to save. You'll die easily when moving, then you'll have to redo the level again, and again, and again, or you could just uninstall and switch to an entertaining game.

Sarepta Studio came up with a good concept and nice graphics, then shot itself in the foot by doing its best to piss off the puzzlers and the explorers for the sole purpose of making a game artificially longer. They haven't yet realised that Manic Miner had an excuse.

TL-DR: A stupid arcade game with sloppy controls and no save/load mechanism.

What seemed to be a nice idea for a co-op game (the inclusion of single player mode should be outright omitted) is marred by a significant amount of bugs as well as weak platforming sections that lead constantly to frustration.

It is admirable that an indie studio comes up with a unique game that offers a great puzzle idea. Your shadow is your friend, but the controls definitely are not.

Shadow Puppeteer has the potential to be a really good game, if the developers at Sarepta Studio can get rid of the teething problems that are disruptive of the experience at the moment. The game features clever puzzles and difficult boss battles, and is worth a try when more of the bugs are removed.
