Apr 28, 2013The visuals and general idea behind Shad’O are excellent but the game play is merely average and while is the story is compelling enough to keep you playing it features some of the worst voice acting I’ve ever heard. I have to wonder if the voice actors knew English or were just giving a script and asked to read what was on the page.

Jun 19, 2014okay , fineish graphics, but SPOOKY game as hell. no bugging stuff, untill you go to sleep after 1 day of playing Shad'O and u get the worst nightmares ever in your life.

Sep 18, 2012After playing three levels, I was about to switch the sounds off. It's real cacophony... Not enough levels, nil balancing, no play mode, no muliplayer mode,

Sep 18, 2012An original Tower Defense/ Real time realistic fog never seen before/An immersive Storytelling/Fantastic visual environments/Impressive Boss fights/Enchanting music soundtrack

Sep 21, 2012This Shad'O is a real disappointment. The balancing is wrong, the sound effects are unbearable, the story is mawkish. The main idea is interesting but the achieve is not good. Only the visual worth visiting as long as you have a good computer. But this game is not a good tower defense. If you want a good one rather buy Kingdom Rush.

Sep 21, 2012Plants vs zombies, Orcs must die, Kingdom rush, Revenge of Titans, Unstoppable Gorg, Fieldrunners, Pixel Junk Monster... are true and (very) good Tower Defense!

Sep 21, 2012Well, it's very nice to see games like Shad'O ! The small gaming company Okugi Studio created a game with a soul : not only fun, but with an atmosphere. They want gamers to dream - quite rare for a tower defense game - and we are dreaming indeed ! Not the game of the year, but for the small price it would be stupid to miss this piece of mystery...

Dec 20, 2012Garbage. Uses Apple Quicktime and if you don't have the magic elixir of whatever _exact_ version is required it just won't work (I was never able to get it to run over the course of a couple months' trying so I can't say what the elixir was). Whether the fault is the developer's or Apple it's just junk software.

Oct 4, 2012excellent, this game blew me away, superb graphics, great game-play and storyline! but a crazy scenario! I loved the 3 different endings! it's huge!
play and replay for different purposes! -
Oct 5, 2012Shad'O is a good tower defence with an intersting concept, realy nice graphismes in an immersive world. what to say more, try it, sound design isn't the most part i liked but i had good time with this game.

Nov 4, 2012Shado'O offers a solid tower defense experience, albeit one that doesn't take advantage of its unique setting and story. While mechanically sound, despite some frustrations when it comes to unit placement around the fog, it's nothing you probably haven't played before.
-
Oct 11, 2012Shad'O is a beautiful story of overcoming one's fears wrapped in a TD-style gameplay.
-
Oct 10, 2012Shad'O has a nice story which is interwoven with classic tower defense gameplay. The gameplay doesn't offer much innovation but the beautiful surroundings sure make up for that.
