    Extreme classic run and gun fragging goodness! Experiencing high definition 16 player coop is a must. It's hard not to love Sam, especially when playing with others.

    I like the original TSE more. Also they removed the funny intro with the ship collision, which is a big shame. Shame on you Croteam, you chould have done the intro on the new engine. Still Pickens approves!

    A fun game I enjoyed much more than the first encounter.

    It's fun shooting through endless hordes, searching for secrets, but there is not much else to it than that for single player.
    Worth getting at 90% off but since it's an old rehashed game, not something I'd pay full price for.

    This game is very funny. Is one of the best FPS Game in the world, is better than COD, Battlefield and more
    It's competitive game, you must have a minimum of skill to play online or offline. My vote is "10", best FPS ever IMHO (also quake and ut).

    It's hard not to like this game...... The fun never stops in sam with blood cusomization,skins,16 player co-op (the best thing),Over all Shooter Of The Year 2010!

    The Second Encounter continues where The First Encounter left off, but this time you have more levels, more weapons, more enemies and much much more.
    The levels are amazingly designed and even better then The First Encounter. The First Encounter was in Egypt, and this time you're in: South Africa, Persia and The Medieval ages. The game's single player    One of the best FPS games ever made.
    The Second Encounter continues where The First Encounter left off, but this time you have more levels, more weapons, more enemies and much much more.
    The levels are amazingly designed and even better then The First Encounter.
    The First Encounter was in Egypt, and this time you're in: South Africa, Persia and The Medieval ages.
    The game's single player is mind blowing and the game also has a multiplayer, the multiplayer is extremely fun! but the problem is that not many people play this today.
    You're lucky if you will find at least 5 servers with players.
    People play this game, but not as much as it was just released.
    I personally give this game a 10/10.

    Very good game! It is rich of action, it's a fast-paced game (or almost) and it is very competitive! Recommended if you're a fan of hard and fast action games.

    After playing the terrible "First Encounter", I went into this expecting the worst. Second level started off with frustrating jumping puzzles which killed the game for me. If the first game was any indication of how this one is (and it is from what I've seen), then you should skip this too.

    Terrible version of this game. Back a few years this game was the answer to the death of the Duke Nukem Franchise in a sense, while being a very different game. Now this version is horrible and will ruin whatever good memories you have from the original version.

    What a terrible game. Same level, booby trap, enemies again and again, Stupid enemies with broken pathfinding and either extremely easy/snipable enemies or ridiculous save/reload fests.

    The best FPS around for me. Tons of monsters and huge sprawling levels. Loads of content for a budget game with a 10 hour plus campaign. The guns are outstanding too, there is great variety and thud satisfyingly into baddies. No cover and Sam sprints around the maps at a hell of a clip. If you imagine Quake but with massive outdoor maps as well as tight claustrophobic corridors. TheThe best FPS around for me. Tons of monsters and huge sprawling levels. Loads of content for a budget game with a 10 hour plus campaign. The guns are outstanding too, there is great variety and thud satisfyingly into baddies. The learning curve is just right to with the number and variety of monsters building steadily to a massive onslaught at the later levels.     A huge improvement from The First Encounter, various levels, many enemies, huge guns. Combat is very good and kiling enemies is fun. It is harder than normal shooters from this years like COD but it will reward you with so much fun. The best Serious Sam game and a great throwback to old school FPS.

    This may sound a bit dumb, but I was completely oblivious to the fact that there was a “Second Encounter” I’d played Serious Sam 2 before but never the second part to the original. Needless to say it is just as intriguing as the first instalment. Again it is a very difficult game (for me anyways), I've never been so thankful for a quick-save button in all my life! Story is basically an excuse to run around while blowing up hordes of aliens, and "hordes" here means "hordes" - if you don't have hundreds of kills at the end of the mission, you're doing it wrong. Only downside of that approach is comparably stupid enemy AI, but that is not so much of aThis game is an excellent old-school FPS, with fast-paced gameplay and excellent sense of humor.     Serious Sam HD the second encounter. A remake of the classic one. Loved when I played this. The same fun shooter which I played in 2002 but now has got a more modern and beautiful look. Really gorgeous.

    This game is alot better than the first encounter as it has more maps that are interesting than just Egypt levels, co-op is still a blast and with new game-modes whats not to love?

    Like the first game Croteam remastered The Second Encounter in HD with the Serious Engine 3. It was available to buy in 2010. Once again you get sharp textures and greater detail for environments, weapons and enemies along with more advanced lighting. Some of the same changes have been made with this game like the original so I won’t repeat myself here. As with The First Encounter HD servers on this game are still unstable at times especially when trying to get achievements however as of typing this review there’s currently more people on this game as it includes The First Encounter.     Para mí , the second encounter es una versión mejorada del anterior , añade superpoderes y nuevas armas . Hay más diversidad de mapeado : Jungla , el clásico desierto y un mundo medieval. Aparte de más enemigos e interesantes jefes. Recomendado

These are the true modern FPS, offspring of UnrealTournament and Quake, but of course to date the masses have preferred what? Fortnite, or? Warzone! Or? Valorant... need I go on?     After playing Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter I was really curious how they would remaster all the new weapons and enemies in The Second Encounter so I could not wait to try it out.

    In the core, it is yet again, still the exact same game. You start in Sierra Chiapas, in ancient Mayan territory after your spaceship was hit by a crate train and plummeted to the ground. Your ship is wrecked and not usable anymore. Luckily, you learn about a back-up ship, located in another world. You need to hop between two portals to reach this ancient world and fight your way through the Mayan lands and towns, Ancient Persia and eventually, ancient Poland. On your journey you are again hindered by even more hordes of Mentals soldiers and three big fat bosses that guard the portals. In the end, you fight the sorcerer Mordekai, who guards the Holy Grail itself. After you whoop his ass, you sarcastically confess your sins in the Grand Cathedral about what you are going to do to Mental when you find him and then fly away in the back-up ship.

    The graphics are nice and polished and the same as the first remake. Enemy models, the weapons and the environments are more detailed and look very good. You can new gib every enemy, including the Bio Mechanoids and Sirian Werebulls. The gore is, again, the biggest improvement here. More body parts, more blood, more carnage.

    I have to say that I did not necessarily like the new models for the Alduran Reptiloids, like mentioned in my review on Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter. They looked a little cartoony and goofy in comparison to their original counterparts. Also, the mechanic in which the Scythian Witch Harpies caried Kamikazes to the field, is no more due to issues with the improved Serious Engine. A little disappointing but not the end of the world. In the Second Encounter, this feature was not implemented that frequently anyway.

    The sound and music are unchanged, besides some weapon firing sounds are enemy grunts. Just like the first HD remake.

    Games like Grand Theft Auto and many more this day, offer only an upgrade on the graphics and nothing more. Serious Sam HD: The first encounter however offers a little more, something that I can respect. You now got a survival mode, in which you can earn medals, the longer you survive, you got different multiplayer modes like Beast Hunt and My Burden. Although these modes never gained much popularity, it is a nice variation for those who liked it. They did include new multiplayer Deathmatch modes however, which is always nice.

    A special note must be made for the split-screen functionality that the game still has. Back in the day, it was nothing special, but today, split screen is dying so more copies of a game can be sold (right EA?) so every game that still has it, earns my respect.

    In conclusion, Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is a nice upgrade in terms of visuals, offers some new multiplayer features and made the game feel fresh. However, looking back, it was not entirely necessary and with the knowledge of today, with remakes being a business model, I am glad that I experienced this remake in a fun and positive way. I believe this is mainly because I have mad respect for Croteam and its developers and so far, they did not disappoint in their sequels and games.

This game is a with a lot of monster and i mean a lot there is hundred's or even thousands of enemies the levels are pretty straight forward. every weapon is also good you have shotguns,revolvers,chainsaws,rockets,grenades,flamethrowers,laser guns and even hand cannons. there is 21 enemies, 2 mini bosses and 3 bosses. There is 12 levels and 1 demo level. this was the good stuff now for the bad stuff there's not much to say tho but when you play the game some enemy trigger's are too small so you can pass thru there is a invincibility power up in the first level (unless you are playing on serious that turns into a 100 armor) you can grab it or literally don't give a crap about that power and skip it by rocket jumping(if you get the secret at the start of the level)you can skip the 2nd levels enemy trigger by taking 150 damage or like 50 with the armor (armor absorbs 67% of the damage you take) you can do the same thing when you get the both jaguars but you need to take 201 damage to pass its not bad cuz you can skip very fast without risk of death.Talking of skips YOU CAN BEAT A FRICKING LEVEL IN 1 MINUTE AND THATS NO JOKE you need like 100 helth and 1 armr to take 100 damage and live with 1 hp.You can also get a achievement by skipping you need 100 health and 50 armor for the first place and for the second its the exact same or if you are feeling extra spicy you can take serious damage power up or quake's quad damage and you need 200hp with 100 armor and co-op is almost dead and most achievements are related to co-op :( but you can play with your friends at least :). Play it you will never regret it.… Expand

    There are some nice things to be done in the HD version of The Second Encounter: set new high scores in the endless Survival mode, take part in two-team matches or play cooperatively with four or five cutthroats like yourself. But as for the single-player campaign, it's better to set it aside… forever.
