    Game play is poorly balanced leaving you with segments you complete based mostly on dumb luck, rather than skilled game play. They simply load in too many adversaries, whilst offering up stingy health and ammo. I can imagine this would be a problem for people with mid to low end gaming rigs. Its very very demanding graphically.

    So the legion system is a lie - the huge fight is just loads of copy pasted enemies and allied soldiers and you can only shoot a few of them at a time.
    The level design is the most bland and uninspired in the series and generally, the bad changes from Serious sam TFE, TSE to SS3 are here as well and even more pronounced.
    There are some fun gadgets and a few good ideas but overall, this    So the legion system is a lie - the huge fight is just loads of copy pasted enemies and allied soldiers and you can only shoot a few of them at a time.
    The level design is the most bland and uninspired in the series and generally, the bad changes from Serious sam TFE, TSE to SS3 are here as well and even more pronounced.
    There are some fun gadgets and a few good ideas but overall, this game feels like a rushed job with poor graphics, tons of nonsensical design decisions, almost no humor (WTF?) and a lot more cutscenes (WHY? And they are crap as well).
    I hope this game would be good but it seems like every new entry in the series is the worse than the previous one since the release of TSE.    … Expand

    Я наиграл 70 часов и хочу сказать что игра как всегда превосходная. Теперь в игре появился сюжет и он очень неплохой. Но главное тут геймплей и он просто шикарен. Тут было добавлено куча нового, например: В игре есть разные гаджеты по типу черных дыр, ядерных бомб и т.д; Добавлена система прокачки, теперь можно стрелять с двух рук, кататься на монстрах и добивать сильных, здоровых врагов.
    В игре появились новые персонажи как Отец Михаил, Картер и Кенни. И мне было грустно когда на моих глазах убили Мишу и Кенни, у меня аж слеза потекла(,
    Музыка как всегда БОЖЕСТВЕННА. Дамьян написал отличные саундтреки к игре.
    Я всем рекомендую купить эту игру, т.к она недорогая и вы за небольшую цену в 725 рублей получайте отличный боевик на 10 часов или больше.    … Expand

Когда-то Painkiller был очень сильным и перспективным конкурентом их детища, но где он теперь? Увы, Сэм остался один.
    Разумеется, это не просто набор миссий к Before First Encounter, есть и отличия. В четвёртой части появилась прокачка (не очень нужная, можно игнорировать), появились напарники, часто бегающие рядом с Сэмом и помогающие в отстреле тварей, исчезла, увы, русская озвучка... Но разве это как-то меняет дело? У нас всё тот же Сэм, каким мы его любим (или ненавидим, кому как). И потому ответ на вопрос "брать или не брать игру" целиком и полностью зависит от вашего отношения к серии в целом.    … Expand

    Poorly optimised shooter with flickering textures all over the place and graphics from 2008. Level design is terrible, gameplay is not even comparable to SS2 or 3. No fun at all.

    Horrible performance with a Ryzen 9 and 2080. 360 launch title graphics. Most boring and uninspired location/level design in the whole series. Very few new enemies/weapons. Just play the originals, they're infinitely more entertaining. Not a horrible game but worse than average.

    Disappointed, 2007 level graphics, buggy physics engine, dumb and awkward company. I was a big fan of the serious Sam games (especially 1 and 2), but unfortunately from part 3 this game slipped to the bottom

Игра оффигенная, местами смешная, но иногда и печальная (убивство Михайла и Кенни), Сюжет значно прокачали, понравилась не навязчивая прокачка оружия, Франция из огромной картой шикарная, но хотелось бы больше зданий для осмотра. Байк офигенный, комбайн не очень если честно)))0) Моя оценка 9 из 10. Но ставлю 10 так как игру просто скоро засрут. А засрут малолетние и тупые д*уны. Им же графика не очень. Напоминаю: игра стоит в Стим 750 рублей, и это не ААА. Минусы то есть, среди них: баги с прогрузкой текстур, анимации конечно дёрганые, но тут извините ещё раз- не ААА. С текстурами я уверен и остальными багами разработчики справлятся. А ТАК ЭТО ТОТ ЖЕ СЭМ ТОЛЬКО ЕЩЕ СЕРЬЁЗНЕЙ И КРУЧЕ!… Expand

Personally, I think: "If the picture does not hurt the eye, then it is good." And during battles there is no time to peer into textures and some small objects. If you prefer a beautiful picture to gameplay, then buy better some Call Of Duty 2017-2020 or Battlefield, there is a nice picture. Well, if you want to spoil the heads of the hordes of Mental troops for a couple of evenings - you are welcome.
    Optimization let us down, sometimes out of the blue, empty locations could have microfreezes, the drawing range also leaves much to be desired, thanks for the fact that at least the objects are brightly highlighted and you know what it is and where (although xs, maybe only I have a low drawing range).
    Animations, to put it mildly, are very bad, in places twitchy in cutscenes, when Firebatters receive damage, the animation of damage becomes "T-pose", and Harpies completely disappear after death ... But for the models of enemies, I want to praise the moles, they are made very well and qualitatively (except for Small Arachnoids)
    AI and NPC 50/50, if the stupidity of enemies can still be understood (standing behind a wall, etc.), this is normal, they are not lost, but allies ... can just stupidly hit the wall for a while and then start kicking the enemy , and they are not particularly useful ... although they create an atmosphere of co-op, only with inscriptions that constantly throw out barbs (Kenny, you are just starting to get it ... F)
    The character of the characters is simple and straightforward, Kenny is a funny newbie, Rodrigues is a narcissistic Chico, etc.
    The plot is simple. Nothing to say...
    Music ... Oh yes, Damjan is a genius! He wrote an absolutely gorgeous soundtrack for the game!
    Some locations suffer from gigantism, if they are more filled with opponents, then this is not striking, at maximum settings, they look very good.
    The gameplay is vigorous, for each enemy you need to use a certain weapon, as in the good old. The bonuses in the game were mediocre, I only used KAIF, HEART, Black Hole and Time Capsule, and a couple of times Nerve Gas. The pumping system is done well, though it is not always possible to pump all the skills (I pumped 11) And, to be honest, there are 4 skills that are useless (my personal opinion). They are already scattered in obvious places, and you won't get poorer from 4-5 pieces, I will repeat 11 useful skills to eat ...
    There are many bugs, both visual (if you set the 2nd performance setting to the lowest), sound (sound disappears during firing), and something like "accidentally crawled between the textures and now I can't get out"
    I also want to add Russian localization ... It is terrible, thanks of course for making it, but it would be better if you entrusted it to the guys who know a lot about this. Why don't I like her? Because some phrases were not translated, as well as individual words, some dialogues were not displayed, the phrases of the "Propagandist" were mixed with the dialogues of the Cut-scenes, and the automatic translation is felt.

    In general, I am very pleased with the game. This is certainly not NEXTGEN YEAR GAME 2020 RTX OPEN WORLD, but quite a good game. Also, there is a co-op for 4 people, so .... call your friends and run to crush the skulls of Cleram !!!

    É convidativo para muitos, inclusive para mim, traçar paralelos entre    . Como um fã da série nos seus altos e baixos, o começo de Serious Sam 4 é bizarro, o ritmo das três primeiras missões não condiz com o que eu esperava e algumas adições me fizeram torcer o nariz. Mas aí que me dei conta, este é o primeiro grande jogo da franquia em 8 anos e quem está por trás dele é a Croteam.

    É convidativo para muitos, inclusive para mim, traçar paralelos entre Serious Sam e outros netos de Doom. Porém, é preciso lembrar o contexto dentro do qual o primeiro jogo foi criado — em um mundo pós half-life, no começo de uma era que seria tomada por games como Counter Strike, e posteriormente Modern Warfare e afins, onde arena shooters como Unreal Tournament e Quake 3 — apesar de ainda estarem no seu pico (2001) — estavam com seus dias contatos. A Croteam sempre nadou contra a maré, e continua a fazer isso no quarto game da série.

    Vendo sob esta lente, Serious Sam 4 em 2020 está mais deslocado do que nunca; porém jamais chamarei o seu design de antiquado, pois falar isso é indicar que Dusk, Ion Fury e Amid Evil são “antiquados” por não seguirem as convenções do gênero. Pelo contrário, tanto Serious Sam 4 quanto os jogos citados trazem boas mudanças que os mantém frescos.

    Um dos elementos já citados é a tão assustadora “árvore de habilidades”. É uma mecânica que, de tanto que tem sido abraçada pela indústria no geral, acaba sendo um tanto irrelevante. É a velha história de “três colunas com habilidades que pouco colaboram com o avanço do seu personagem”. Serious Sam 4 vai no sentido inverso; esta árvore não só traz grandes mudanças, como cresce junto com sua habilidade pessoal de entender quando atacar ou recuar nas batalhas com hordas de inimigos.    … Expand

    The game gives everything that I love this series for. And even more. It's fast, it's fun. A great continuation of a great series. Thanks to Croteam and Devolver!!! It's nice to know that someone still knows how to make great shooters.

    I love the new additions from the environments to the new enemies. The new health bars, gadgets, and S.A.M are received well. The other characters are likable, but can get annoying because of the lack of voice lines during combat. But Sam brings it around with FANTASTIC one-liners that cannot help but bring a smile to my face!

    Unfortunately, it's lacks the awesome enemy corridors from previous iterations, which is what I was looking forward to the most, but it kind of makes up for it by creating even more enemy variety than before, and mixing it up nicely to make the battles slightly different each time. Still, I miss the days of standing at the end of a "hallway" and mowing down thousands of enemies allUnfortunately, it's lacks the awesome enemy corridors from previous iterations, which is what I was looking forward to the most, but it kind of makes up for it by creating even more enemy variety than before, and mixing it up nicely to make the battles slightly different each time. Still, I miss the days of standing at the end of a "hallway" and mowing down thousands of enemies all charging at you. That's not to say the battles aren't big, just not as big as I was hoping for. I assume they did this as a trade off for better graphics, which I'm not certain was a worthwhile trade.

    TLDR: Fun, particularly if you're a Sam Fan, but I'd recommend Serious Sam 3 over this.    … Expand

    An evolution of SS3 gameplay, with a bigger cast of enemies, more weapons with better feel, and better designed enemies. Also the story is pretty interesting with charming characters. Currently plagued by some performance issues, but nothing a bunch of patches can't fix. One of the best of the series.

Yes this game has a lot of enemies, but they all dumb as hell. I definitely not recommend this game, at least now, wait for a year Croteam will fix all bugs and only after that you can buy it.     I played serious sam 1 when i was a kid and i really liked it, it was a very cool and enjoyable game back in early 2000s I didn't play 2 and 3 but I had been waiting for 4 since it was announced and how disappointing it is, the game looks like an early 7th gen game but that's tolerable

    surprisingly serious sam 4's gameplay and level design hasn't made much progress since serious sam 1, you just have to fight waves of enemies spawning in a bad order with their 0 AI and that becomes boring very fast I'm glad that the game isn't really long like doom at least this is better than doom.
    overall this game isn't what I hoped that would be I'm not sure if it worths playing    … Expand

    Serious sam 4 is not game for everyone. the best part about serious sam 4 is the amount of weapons you have that you get to shoot and there are around 40 or more enemy types. The game is poorly optimized and the cut scenes and animations of them are out dated but the game does not look bad, in some levels the game looks pretty and beautiful.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This could be the FPS game of the year! Totally loving me some Sam. Fast action and hords of bad guys. Perfect for the fast twitch shooter. Plays like butter in DX11 or Vulkan on my GTX 1080 + Intel Hex core.
    Whats amazing is they upped the graphics 1000x over the 2001 version yet kept the fast pace without slow down. That is amazing considering cpus have not got much faster in the past 10 years.

    Nit pickers must freeze frame the game and take a magnifying glass looking for out of place pixels. Thats not how you have fun playing the game. Put the OCD on hold an enjoy some SAM!

    What was really bad:

    What was really bad:

    - The first game of all the Sam series, which is **** BORING.
    - Doesnt work on DX11, only on Vulkan, DX11 is set by default and leads to game crash.
    - Not optimized at all. That means you gonna have crashes and fps drops even on high-end PC.
    - World looks extremelly ugly, like an **** from Steam Greenlight. Contrasts are higher that normal, terrain could just, you know, disappear, some objects like trees are transparent and you can pass through them, detail draw distance feels rough, omg. Death animations of flying objects oh god please let me unsee it back.
    - Open world full of NOTHING. In the previous Sam games for a paticular object being in a certain space means that you definitely find something over there. Like, remember, in the Second Encounter, when you're on the blank ice field and there is a single stack of rockets far away. It just screams to you: "COME, THERE IS SOMETHIG INTERESTING". While in Sam4 you can spend half of the day searching for something similar on those giant locations.
    - Secrets, the brilliant of the previous games, are misplaced. There are a lot of places, you know, that looks LIKE a secret, but there is nothing there, so you just spending time getting frustrated all the times you check another "looks-like-secret" spot.
    - A lot of cutscene nonsence. In a meaty FPS shooter game. Are you **** serious?
    - No localization, that means all the jokes are dumb and damn boring. That 'american' humour is kinda sucks and nobody in real world would laugh on it. We had gorgeous Russian locales for Sam3 and the Second Encounter, which again means that Sam became **** worse than it was.
    - Guns feels like 'plastic', no immersion at all. In comparison with SS3 this is just ridiculous, cos gun assets were taken from the previous version of the game, yet somehow guns feel worse now.
    - Serious Sam 3 has more or less fun melee combat with blood flooding your screen each time you crush skulls with a sledgehammer. Now you have a knife and the worst finishing animation i've ever seen.
    - Music is a piece of gnaar **** I cant believe Damjan Mravunac did this with his favorite game. The only good soundtrack was "The Grand Cathedral", which was, what a surprise, taken from the Second Encounter.
    - Enemies are silent, except for kamikadzes. And that was a huge disappointment. In each Serious Sam game you KNOW whats around the corner just by listening to surroundings. But here you can turn around while searching for a secret and see you're in the middle of the fight, actually.
    - Also enemies are EXTREMELLY stupid, even in comparison with other sam games. Im okay with making them stuck in front of a staticmesh, you know, this is kinda feature of Serious Sam series, but when they just STAND STILL after being spawned... well, thats something.
    - And, of course, that legion system is a **** it just doesnt exist. They shown it only once per game, most of the units doesnt have their own hp and AI, more like puppets that die from a single shot.

    What also sucks but I can deal with it:

    - Ugly faces. This is kinda parody of some other popular games (I wont point a finger on mass effect)
    - Storyline and characters. Too complicated for FPS and Serious sam in particular, too simple for such giant locations.
    - Ammo management and overall guns balance. That sucks, sucks, sucks, but thats not the worst part of the game.
    - Perks, half of them are mandatory, half of them are useless. Just like in Doom, so i wasnt surprised. Actually, the only good example of how perks in a shooter game should look like is the original Crimsonland.
    - Being this game a prequel of a prequel, which means all of the characters we've seen in SS3 will survive.

    What was good or at least better that everything else in this stupid game:

    - Papamobile, I love giant mechos
    - Harvester, I love to harvest some meat
    - Sound of squashing bodies (imported from Sam3, by the way)
    - Riding a bull, i always wanted to do that

    Part 3 was then less good and was boring.

They implemented every new feature in the main core gameplay, basically going backwards, shooting aliens and in my opinion it works well. I liked the shooting most of all games of SS titles. The problem with SS3 BFE was that game that can be named as a Serious Sam started only at a half of campaign. In SS4 it starts much faster, first half of a game is made from big corridors, some hard challenging shooting time to time. Second half gives us everything the game can offer, huge amounts of enemies, bigger maps. Storyline was never SS main thing, but I don’t mind it at all after SS4.

    -There’s still huge problems with animations and cutscenes. This always was the weak point but now as they want to push it on more important level in the game story-telling, they needed to improve it more. -Bad or either “random” optimization. What I mean by that is just a situation when big amount of players report issues with performance and other players with preferably same pc build reports that everything runs smooth. Kinda a mystery here, right? Speaking of me, I played on Egpu 1080 with core i9, 32gb, and it runs on everything set to high not except some issues while in city maps. At the end, I want to say that I want to see them add “survival” and “death-match” modes for game to be complete. Also they want to implement workshop packages too, what is really satisfying for me. I liked the series and I put 9/10 just to move the game up due to the big amount of hate from people who expect the game to be AAA just like a 60$ game. There are some other minuses and + in the game but im here not to tell about all of them, go give it a try, it might be worth it.    … Expand

    This game has decent graphics but it is boring, all missions are the same: backpedalling and shooting brainless waves of enemies. Once in a while you have to kill a big boss or use a mech and that's it, the rest is a stupid story (if anybody can call it a story) and endless waves of idiotic monsters. I wonder if previous versions were as monotonous and dull as this one.

    The great oldschool game! A lot of monsters, tons of bullets, amazing final battle with limitless enemies and huge boss. Good humour (hey Battletoads 2020!) I'm happy what developers used a cat hook to defeat final boss what guys who made Doom Ethernal didn't! Just two bugs where spotted. Amazing work! We need a new part with more humour and craziness next :D

    Difficulty is not balanced. I played most part of the game (90%) in hard difficulty, but bosses were so hard that you will have to lower to easy if you inteend to proceeed. For that 1 point taken.
    For the first time serious sam has friends and that was a plus. So far its our avarage serious sam as always. So far this is the best game so far. I recommend if you are a fan or if you LOVE kill a TON of aliens.
    There are better options out there ? Yes there is. But man, this game is fun and graphics are outsanding.    … Expand

There are many areas with absolutely nothing in them, which disincentivizes exploration. Secrets are not all that secret and do not grant you much. Side missions are largely traps that don't reward you with much by the time you finish them. Certain weapons see limited use due to swarming or environmental limitations. Cutscenes are uncanny and jokes are unnaturally forced.

    This game sports graphics that are even less detailed than BFE and are shockingly unoptimized. Croteam could have reused the same engine for BFE and that may have provided an even smoother and likely more aesthetic result. It is jarring to see textures constantly loaded during gameplay, even though the game already takes a lengthy time to load assets before a map begins. The inconsistent lighting and shadows are unpleasant to see. Cutscenes and scope zooming causes your FPS to tank as well.

    Overall a decent installment, but one that strays further from the heart of the Serious Sam franchise. This sequel did manage to keep my attention better than the previous due to its increased difficulty, but it felt like there was no real sense of exploration and that weighed on my enjoyment heavily. It is evident that Croteam is taking a more modern, cliched approach to the series that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.    … Expand

    If you compare part 3 with 4, then there is almost no difference, but optimization ... My computer, although not so powerful (part 3 at high settings 60 fps), but so as not to show stable 60 fps at minimum settings... All the time friezes due to loading, even if you look at the floor. The beginning of the game, where there is a lot of cannon fodder, at low (not minimal) levels, it gives out 60 fps, and in the first chapter, where you start on an empty map, it lags to hell from loading the map and models, which becomes unplayable (sags up to 20 fps). And so these friezes will haunt even on strong cards, processors throughout the game.

    You can mark only new chips that are. Skills that can make the game easier, but don't force them to be used to beat the game. Not many new weapons. 3 new weapons, 3 improvements to old weapons and secondary devices 4. Monsters were also almost not added, bosses with several phases. On 1 map they will give the opportunity to ride a motorcycle and on 2 maps on robots.

    The game is far from perfect, the bad optimisation and the bad graphics are not doing justice to this game, but the core gameplay really feels like a serious sam game and the enemies are just like they used to be. I know that it might not be that good compared with the first an second encounter and but it is faaaarrbetter than 2 or 3.

This game is the first in the series to actually implement a story while laying audio journals around throughout each mission that you can listen to and learn more about the world of serious sam amidst all the chaos. An extremely nice touch no previous entry offered.

    -The level up variety is fantastic. From black holes, rage, gas that makes enemies attack each other as well as duel wielding, riding werebulls and so on. It's all great and allows you to approach the gameplay different each time with variety.

    -The soundtrack is among the best in the series. It interrupts the chaos and brings a mood of great choirs and strings in places you'd least expect to be hearing such greatness.

    The negatives I would like to point out is they took out the split screen? Why? This was a huge buddy coop/verses game that it seems almost traitorous to do that.. Also there are some bugs and textures on characters sometimes take a while to load. Another negative is sometimes the game crashes when entering a server on multiplayer mode. All these need to be fixed but other than that, the game is a must and the best entry in the series.    … Expand

Уже в меню тебя встречает офигительный соундтрек, настраивающий на атмосферу "Защиты Земли", потом со старта игры тебя бросает в интригующую битву, потом идёт первая катсцена, вот тут уже немного кривовато, но уже в первые пол часа игры я понял, что играю в по-настоящему проработнный сюжетный шутан! Story-driven! В первом же уровне с тобой ходит нпс персонаж игры, с которым у Сэма прикольные диалоги, потом ты слышишь офигенный соундтрек, эмбиент, чувствуешь прям атмосферу захваченной планеты, повсюду развешаны плакаты Ментала с пропагандой или плакаты сопротивления и ты такой..ЧЕГОО???СЮЖЕТ В СЭМЕ???ДА ЛАААААДНО. В целом конечно сюжет у игры довольно средний, но его спасает куча хорошего юмора и Кенни) Не ждите ничего от концовки игры, там не будет никакого завершающего сюжетного аккорда, но 1 крутой сюжетный поворот в сюжете будет. И я бы так не нахваливал игру, если бы не атмсофера и самое главное - соундтрек! Он, конечно, не один из лучших в мире, но очень достойный, я постоянно проходил игру, чтобы услышать, какой же новый офигительный соундтрек мне подарит новая локация, соундтреки просто мега крутые, именно эмбиенты, фоновые атмосферные соундтреки, а не соундтреки битв, из соундтреков битв мне запомнилось только 2 шутки. Насчёт геймплея это тот же старый Сэм, ничего особого интересного, но тут спасает новая графика, не слушайте тех, кто говорит, что это Сэм 3.5, вот зайдите сейчас в Сериус Сэм 3 и увидите какая там сейчас устаревшая графика, Сэм 4 делает хороший графический рывок и мне было интересно находить каждое новое оружие, чтобы увидеть старые пушки Сэма в современной графике. Рассуждая о графике больше всего вспоминается "Тефтелич" - это я так называю зелёного монстра, который стреляет шарами, вот он выглядит очень круто и мило в новой графике). You were just a guy with all the weapons in the world mowing down the craziest designed aliens in the world, there was nothing better than launching a cannonball into a group of those screaming headless guys with bombs to their hands.

    This time around he’s even not alone, Sam and his team at the Alien Artifact Acquisition (the other AAA) are in Rome to acquire the Holy Grain which is inside the Arc of the Covenant, which itself is an alien artefact. If that doesn’t make sense to you, don’t worry it doesn’t really get in the way of all the alien killing you’ll be doing. Your team consist of all the cliches, the smooth-talking black guy, the foul mouth gun touting Mexican, the badass women in aviators that the main character has surely done the nasty with and of course, Kenny.

    I have to give major props to your teammates as well because unlike so many other games, they are actually useful during combat. Especially during harrier moments when you seemingly have everything running towards you its nice to know your team will be actually shooting the enemies rather than just randomly all over the place. However, that is really as far as my praise can go because my god this game can CHUG!

    No matter what settings I changed, no matter how low the resolution or presets I set it too, my poor graphics card gets an absolute beating from this title. The game even opens up on fighting a giant horde of monsters reminiscent of the ending of Avengers Endgame and the game will slow down to like 10 frames a second. Thankfully, it cuts away after 30 or so seconds but even then the game’s performance is just pitiful, textures not loading properly, audio cutting out and it just refuses to keep a decent framerate to the point where even just turning can be an exhaustive effort.

    Party of One: Serious Jeff Plays Some Serious Sam 4 - Giant Bomb
    The design of the world and the characters leave much to be desired as well, the enemies look like they were taken right out of the previous Serious Sam released back in 2011 and as for the level design, it honestly just looks like Croteam just copy-pasted levels from The Talos Principle and called it a day. Enemy encounters don’t really change things up and just give us bigger and bigger waves of enemies which, no surprise, makes the framerate chug even worse. It’s bad enough just trying to get a lock on where the Screaming Kamikaze’s are running from thanks to the audio without them blurring together with all the enemy enemies.

    I honestly want to like Serious Sam 4, it has been almost a decade since the last title came out and there are definitely some good points, the characters and story are so bad it’s actually hilarious, especially Kenny who is basically Woody Allen crossed with a wet sock and the weapons do have the right amount of oomph, the way a double shotgun clears an area or mowing down the big guys with dual-wielding chain guns is an absolute dream. But you wake up from that dream quick smart with just how badly the game works, even after a hotfix was released while writing this review did I find the game still not running properly. Admittedly my rig isn’t the newest at the current moment, but a quick glance on the Steam forums show that even people with the latest RTX’s are having serious issues getting this to run.

    Serious Sam 4 may have some potential, but right now I am serious when I say give this game a pass.

    When you get down to it, this is basically a lot like past Sam games just with better shooting. (But my God does the shooting in this game feel good) Really that's all I expected and/or wanted from the game, so I loved it. I can't really say the same for you, but I would at least give it a try.

    Pros - Weapons and their additional second fire - New simple skillsystem - Plenty vehicles like mowing machine, motorcycle and giant robot - New enemies - Some badass abilities like black hole are really funny - Updates like Halloween Event Cons - Graphic not that bad, but not innovative either - Various    So i played until release 1.05, here's how it was until this point.

    Pros

    - New simple skillsystem
    - Plenty vehicles like mowing machine, motorcycle and giant robot
    - New enemies
    - Some badass abilities like black hole are really funny
    - Updates like Halloween Event

    Cons
    - Graphic not that bad, but not innovative either
    - Various visual bugs, even the cutscenes have weaknesses
    - Performance, even with a mediocre PC it is hardly possible to have smooth frame rates
    - Only Story mode, there are no other modes like in the previous serious sam, i really hope they will add it afterwards    … Expand

    Минусов игре хватает,но по большей части самым большим минусом является огромное кол-во багов,причем сильно влияющих на геймплей(Я вот до патча 1.05 не мог дальше двери пройти на уровни вива ле резистанс тупо из за двери,которая не хочет открываться),в подарок к багам идет оптимизация,которая отлично себя показывает,когда наступают катсцены,которых ,как я ранее говорил, не мало,соответственно видеть вы эти прелестные анимации будете часто...Еще бы я упомянул неприятную и просто однобразную анимацию ближнего боя,ведь даже в 3 части они выглядят лучше,причем раз так в 10,тут сэм всех режет ножиком,а в 3 части разрывает на куски,сворачивает шею,ломает кости,что явно радует глаз(думаю уже понятно,что и тут анимации кривые,работают через жопу,то пустоту режешь,то враг улетает).Таким образом,хочу сказать,что игра мне нравится,да у нее много минусов,но по большей части почти все они устранимы,чем как раз занимаются разработчики,надеюсь,что деволверы когда-нибудь уже повысят бюджет последующих игр,ведь идеи кротов всегда крутые,но из за пинка под зад,а также не такого высокого бюджета им не хватает дойти до уровня современных игр,но тем не менее игра стоит своих денег,попробуйте(Играйте с друзьями,тогда игра станет еще веселее,впрочем и так понятно).И самое главное,что хочу сказать всем,что сэм по настоящему себя показывает только на сложности Мастер/Серьезный,другие для тех,кто только начал постигать сэма    … Expand

    Gra mocno wybrakowana i niedorobiona technicznie. Względem trójki wygląda momentami jak fanowska modyfikacja. Powtarzalne nudne poziomy zrobione z tych samych kilku drzewek, ławek i smietników. Bardzo niska jakość.

It’s easy to point out that side missions are uninspired and fail to provide the diversity they were supposed to introduce, or question the quality of graphics and optimization, but it’s not really that important when burying enemies under piles of bullets is so much fun.     Croteam has yet to surpass its first two Serious Sam games, with Serious Sam 4 basically being one more entry; one that is great fun, but far from an evolution of the series. The flaws are aplenty, although they are rarely very serious (pun not intended), making this fourthquel more disappointing than bad - because, make no mistake, this is very good. Sure, it's not the best Serious Sam game… but still a Serious Sam game. Fans of serious action will understand.
