Oct 12, 2012Amazing game! made my childhood very happy :) i still remember the cool fight system and awesome looking spells effects. i highly recommend this game.

Sep 7, 2013Wonderful RPG. Spell effects and battle system are very cool, as well as enemy models, artwork, and the whole concept and epic focus of the game. A walkthrough might be necessary to not get frustrated trying to figure out when and where to pick up certain items, and what to do with them, but besides that i had an amazing experience with this game. Great dialogue and cutscenes too!

Nov 24, 2015Not the best graphics, but it was able to run in most of the computers back in the day, best RPG experience at that time, and the game I enjoyed the most until now , made me into a true RPG fan .

Apr 18, 2012Great game, you cannot expect Mass Effect series in the good old days.
A somewhat linear RPG that involves less amount of exploration and more amount of turn-based combat. A variety of creatures and good boss-fights. -

Oct 31, 2015Clunky, not optimized, slow, not fun. Bad combat system. Slow combat system, similar enemies. Zombies. Not ground breaking. Just another small CRPG ...

Sep 1, 2015This is my childhood game and it got me into pc gaming. It was a great game for it time and was a true diamond in the rough. it may have been over looked but for those who didn't it was a great past time with characters who are hard to forget.

Apr 15, 2014It would have been 10, if not for the infuriatingly slow combat animations on some frequently met enemies. Otherwise - a great story, an interesting combat system and a very good game overall. But fighting zombies.... ugh... made me drop the game more than once.

Feb 6, 2019if you enjoy 0 hand holding, and then getting thrown into a royal cluster **** with robots, strippers, giant spiders, and zombies this game is the **** legit this game blew my ****ing mind in the 90's. one problem is lack of direction, you figure it out yourself....even if its some bull**** about buying earplugs from a store than you walked past 300x times

May 15, 2020The best isometric JRPG. This game has it all, and convinced me from the intro cutscene. Characters, lore, story, ending, card-based combo-oriented babylon-inspired magic system, all are great and make this one of the best adventures I experienced

Sep 1, 2023First time I played this game I was just 10 years old, it was a great experience at that time, and more recently I played again after 20 years and this time I really understand what was the history... What great game for sure one of the best game I ever played.

Oct 3, 2022Many of the few souls that played this attempt at a western JRPG back in the day will speak about a flawless, but unknown gem. That’s nostalgia speaking, however. Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is undoubtedly deeply flawed. It’s not buggy or anything, just an unbalanced, repetitive, somewhat empty, and most of all, 50+ hour-long experience that’s aggravatingly slow, and which doesn’t ever realise its massive potential. In a weird way, this also has a very strong atmosphere, an intriguing world, and is strangely immersive. Thankfully it’s dirt cheap nowadays, so if interested you can check it out with just a handful of coins.
-
While Septerra Core is certainly not ground breaking, it does possess the potential to convert some console gamers over to the PC. Hardcore CRPG fans however, will most likely be disappointed with the linearity and limited challenge.

If you're not the diehard RPGer who lives for "Bauldur's Gate" ("AD&D is the only RPG!"), or if you ever enjoyed one of the Final Fantasy series (I know some of you Bauldur's Gaters like it. Come on, admit it!), then pick this one up right away. There are seven whole worlds waiting for you.
