    The game's mechanic is simple and well executed. For what it is, it's built well. The visuals can be confusing at times and the difficulty arc is sprinkled with a few aberrations. What this game lacks is substance. There is no incentive play at all.

    Scoregasm may lack the polish and extra modes of the best examples the genre, but its frenetic pace and level variety ensure it's worth more than a quick fumble. [May 2012, p.113]

    Scoregasm is a good shmup with an oustanding control system and a fantastic level design. If you own a joypad and you are not interested in great longevity or graphics, then purchase it without any doubt.
