    While seasoned adventure gamers will have surely visited the lost city of Atlantis many times before, and this latest excursion does include a few missteps, if you have the VR hardware to play Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis, you’ll find it worth your time for its fresh take on this age-old story.

    Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis has beautiful visuals that depict the ancient world of Atlantis in a semi-realistic representation of a harbor, temple, outdoor marketplace, etc. The immersive quality of VR draws in the player as they try to solve puzzles through the campaign. While there are some flaws and definitely the developers could do more to enhance the user experience, I still recommend Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis as a unique historically-based puzzle game.

    There are some good ideas here and some very nice visuals… but it just lacks some polish and I suspect many people will be lured to the game simply because of the use of Atlantis in the title with the expectation that they could explore the legendary city… unfortunately they will have to look elsewhere to get their mythological travel fix. Not really one I’d recommend unless it’s on deep discount and you just really want another quick puzzle game.
