    My most played video game of all time. I have recently dropped it due to lack of my own personal progression. I have put over 1500 hours into this game and made it pretty far competitively.     I've been playing this game for 5 years now, and this is probably the most well made-and-unique at the same time, game I've ever played. No other game has the concept of adding on random stuff to change your player skill. Throughout the progression of getting to the top rank you learn these new weird crazy 'mechanics' that change the entire game for you, ex. (Wave Dashing, Air Dribbling,I've been playing this game for 5 years now, and this is probably the most well made-and-unique at the same time, game I've ever played. No other game has the concept of adding on random stuff to change your player skill.     I originally started playing Rocket League on the PS4 back when it came out in 2015, and to this day still enjoy playing this game very much. The only thing I don't like about the game these days, is the fact that Epic Games decided to take over. The whole imported seasons and store idea from Fortnite really haven't done this game much good.    A very fun game to play at any time.

    Personally, I don't prefer many online games since they can be very stressful but I like this game. Rocket League is a quite unique game. Game is very competitive. If you win you can feel satisfied, if you lose sometimes you can be a little bit angry. However, matches last around 7 minutes. High satisfaction and intense game for a very short time. If you do not feel like playing the gamePersonally, I don't prefer many online games since they can be very stressful but I like this game. Rocket League is a quite unique game. Game is very competitive. If you win you can feel satisfied, if you lose sometimes you can be a little bit angry. However, matches last around 7 minutes. High satisfaction and intense game for a very short time. If you do not feel like playing the game anymore, you can quit after 1 match. So you do not have to wait for the game to end for 30 minutes just like in Dota 2.… Expand

    Rocket League is a great game, however playing on PC gives you a disadvantage as kbm is not as easy to use and has less control ability than controller. The only other real issue is lag but other than those two things it's incredibly fun.

    Yeah I can do a ceiling shot and I'm still in bronze so what. Honestly it's because my teammates are holding me back, and don't even tell me to play the 1v1 gamemode because the devs forgot to make that gamemode fun.

    Great concept, hooks you immediately and is highly competitive. The skill gap is huge and the satisfaction of getting better, climbing the rank ladder and scoring epic goals is amazing.

    It is hard (or impossible) to overstate how much fun this game is, because you get no assistance from the computer. Everything you get in this game is earned through skill. Lucky shots exist, but you'll find that the only way to perform consistently is to master control of your car and collisions with the ball.

    There are only minor differences between the myriad cars you see in the screenshots, so everything comes down to player skill, not choice of car. "Play balance" isn't something we have to worry about here.

    After over 300 hours with this title, I can say they have done the original game great justice, and created something that will last for many years to come. It only gets to be more fun as you get better at it.    … Expand

    Rocket League captures the feeling of a soccer match far better than FIFA, PES or any other soccer title out there thanks to it's action-packed, physics-based gameplay where all the players on the field are actual people. The skill-curve is perfect for a competitive game and there are no glitches/exploits to take away the fun. This is hands-down the best sports title available on any platform.

    Nice fun casual game but it is mostly based on luck the skill is minimal , i don`t see it as a PC esport game , maybe with a console controller but with mouse and keyboard is way harder to do aerial moves. Great optimization and no lag for me mostly play casual . Maybe they can add a more realistic gravity mode so the car will only be able to do small jumps and reduce the hang in the air time to make it more realistic. Some players use some dumb strats like passing the ball to the center of their own goal post when they are defending or as an attaker they pass the ball to their own goal post:)

    Excellent game to play with friends. I just hate the fact that i.e. Russian keys are so much cheaper....well actually the other way around. Why is it in other countries always much more and you are not allowed to play with a Russian key if you do not know how to circumvent that?     This game offers a roller coaster of emotions, good graphics & performance, customizable vehicles, normal, ranked and also FUN modes.

    Play a few Rocket League matches and you see more than a few similarities between the game’s RC-car action and pre-K level soccer. A mass of players follows the ball wherever it rolls, teammates steal from each other, and accidental own-goal shots are almost expected. Even after your skill level advances and you’re able to make exhilarating mid-air saves and coordinated attacks, your car (and team) looks adorable in post-goal replays. Its game face may be set in a goofy grin instead of an intimidating snarl, but Rocket League’s beautifully balanced gameplay is one of the best competitive games I’ve played in ages. Whether you're rushing back to get on defense or trying to poke the ball out of a crowd, the controls never let me down in a single instance save for the times of my own incompetence. The tutorial ensures that you get these basics down and before long you'll be wanting to wall ride and using your boost for aerial strikes, both of which are difficult to master.

    When you’ve finally gotten the hang of driving, Rocket League is an absolute joy. The rules are the same whether you’re playing 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, or 4v4 matches: earn the most points in five minutes. You nudge, slam, bonk, or bash the ball into your opponents’ goal. The arena walls are banked into high walls, so the ball is in play no matter how exuberantly it’s been hit, which keeps the action moving. The arenas are sized nicely, too. They’re small enough to where you can assist on defense if you see an opponent tearing toward your goal, but they’re large enough so players aren’t unnecessarily trading paint just driving into position. The sense of momentum is exhilarating and every moment feels like a highlight reel, thus I'd recommend a controller since it is slightly easier to get a hang of the controls. As the case with any of these multiplayer games, having friends along to coordinate with is just an added layer of fun, although the ingame text options do a good enough job of communicating information.

    Matches are short and players are given a steady drip of cosmetic upgrades for their vehicles by simply participating. None of them affect gameplay, but a variety of hats, paint effects, body types, and smoke-trail designs let players show off their personality during the slow-motion replays. This sort of progression isn't a highlight, but still serves as a reason to continue outside of the adrenaline rush. On the audiovisual spectrum, the in-game action goes by too quickly to appreciate the visual details, from the textures on the arena floors to the flecks of glitter in the paint. It’s all beautiful without being distracting, and is performance friendly. This is supported by the ability to save replays, something I care to admit doing at least a dozen times by now. The electronic music is saved for menus, but the in-match audio capture that same atmosphere you would find in actual soccer matches, making even 0-0 matches thrilling from start to finish.

    The only few complaint I have with Rocket League are the bot AI who fill in when not enough players are in the match. They perform decently, but you'll be yearning for some real teammates after a single match with them, they seldom play offense and their defense is passable. This sort extends to the season mode, where you can face off against the AI in a sort of regular season of customizable amount of games and teams, all of which can keep you busy, but closer on the lackluster side due to the relative easiness of it all. Don't play Rocket League to have fun on your own w/bots, which is possible, but you'll be doing yourself a disservice. Luckily the matchmaking is solid w/only a few instances of me getting frustrated at the lack of getting connected to a server.

    Rocket League is a tight package that managed to convince me that cars and soccer are the best thing to happen to either one. It's visual appeal, responsiveness, and replayability showcases that you can have fun without a sodium overdrive or need to kill something, something plaguing a good amount of online games today. Don't expect any appeal in it's single player experience, the multiplayer will keep you up begging for just one more.    … Expand

    Amazing game.

    Very fun and has a lot of replay value with its pretty big community. Sure you might not win every game but you'll have fun non the less. The only thing that is wrong it that the cars are quite clunky for new players.

If you are wanting a competitive game......STAY AWAY.....There are currently 3 main issues that have existed since beta that have yet to be fixed, and most likely never will be fixed....Note, if not for these issues the game would easily be an 8/10....which is alot, I've never given a game a 10.

    1) Server issues, when many players are on, expect    The game is very fun for casual play. If you are wanting a competitive game......STAY AWAY.....There are currently 3 main issues that have existed since beta that have yet to be fixed, and most likely never will be fixed....Note, if not for these issues the game would easily be an 8/10....which is alot, I've never given a game a 10.

    1) Server issues, when many players are on, expect disconnects...
    2) Physics, sometimes the ball physics just fail....which can determine who wins the match.
    3) MatchMaking, some of the worst matchmaking in any online game.........unfortunately, it looks like they can't fix it.

    tldr; fun game, especially with friends, just don't expect a great competitive scene, if you can get it on sale, go for it.    … Expand

    As I contrast my two most recent purchases, Halo 5 and Rocket League, how can it be that a game that’s spawned countless spin offs, books, TV shows and the love of millions of devoted fans be beaten by what is essentially soccer with Go Carts.

    The answer is simple, it’s just fun.

    Now comparing Halo 5 to Rocket League isn’t entirely fair I’ll agree, they’re two different Genres and two very different games, but what I will say after having blasted my way through 10, 000 rooms of identical enemies over the course of the Halo 5 Campaign I was as bored as Lindsay Lohan at a sobriety seminar.

    Then came Rocket League, oh sweet Rocket League.

    Rocket League puts you in control of a Car; you play soccer against opponent vehicles to score more points. You can jump and boost your way around the map, the physics engine creates all sorts of random possibilities and there’s a real sense of accomplishment when things go exactly as you hoped they would and sometimes when they don’t.

    There’s offline mode with bots and a varety of ranked and unranked online matches, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 (my personal favorite).

    I would also like to add there are some fantastic customization options for your car that you unlock as you progress, they’re nothing extravagant and they don’t add any advantage or disadvantage to their use, but they feel well placed in a game as whacky as this.

    All in all this game cannot be faulted for anything I can think of.

    It’s simple, fast paced, fun, addictive and a rewarding experience.

    This game is well worth the money. Super fun to play and very addictive. I'm excited to see how the Rumble update improves the game. I dislike the ranking system as it's based on levels, which can be attained by playing a lot and not by actual skill.

    Very, very funny. It's easy to get acquainted with it, and very difficult to master. Nice graphics, possibility to play in local multiplayer up to four players with split-screen. Big plus: runs on Linux!

    Fun game, but it doesn't come close to reaching its potential due to irritating camera controls and a distinct lack of options. For one, I would have liked the option to play without aerial rocketry or the option to play with smaller goals. You can't, there are no options at all.

    For the initial price of $20, some of the best money I've ever spent, and I really feel I'm gonna keep it around for years to come

    I bought this during the Steam sale, actually felt I underpaid for it.

    The game is still rewarding for new players while they are getting use to the game.
    It's easy for new players to learn but at the same time not easy to master.

    I am an "old dude" and my 10-year-old daughter started playing it, we both love it.

    Really cool car-soccer game >> very easy to learn & easy matchmaking system >> its also very fair cause all cars have the same steering and acceleration, just the hitboxes are different >> haven't seen any cheater till now >> can just commend every gamer to buy it for the little prize :)

    I have played many sports games that have been manipulated to include some twist, but Rocket League is a different story. This game will catch you wide-eyed at your screen, four hours into the game. Rocket League is fun, competitive, and emotional all wrapped into one.

    This is an absolutely amazing game. I decided to play it after seeing amazing tricks on youtube, at the beginning my skills were very poor, then with practice the game became more fast, challenging and fun.

    This is the must-have game of 2015 ;)!

    This Game is really cool with super good grapics. That makes so much fun especially with friends !!! so many cool cars or cars design and there comes always more !!! I love the boost. The boost is the best. Without that it would not be really fun. For example you can with the boost still fly...

    This is it. The idea for the game sounds stupid. Cars playing soccer. However it is really fun, easy to get into, but skill based so that you get better. The online play is fantastic.     However it is really fun, easy to get into, but skill based so that you get better.

    The online play is fantastic. Lots of servers, lots of players, casual and ranked classification so you aren't thrown in with a bunch of serious skill players. No lag. It is just a very good experience.

    You can also upgrade cars, tires, paint jobs, ornaments, etc. with experience or cheap DLC packs.

    Normally I hate DLC just to put more money in a huge multinational's pockets.

    But when the original game launched at $20 (cheaper with sales and coupons) I don't mind paying a few dollars for a small DLC pack to give a small team some support. This is the way to do DLC. Top quality game, small price, small DLC packs showing continued development.

It's pretty fun and smooth like peanut butter. It's design is near perfect. And there is 4 modes that you can play, which are: 1vs1 (where only you can play against another player), 2vs2 (where you with a teammate can play against two other players from the other team), 3vs3 (where you with two other teammates can play against three other players from the other team) and 4vs4 (where you with three other teammates can play against four other players from the other team). All of the modes feel perfectly designed. Also, you can play against and with bots, which is still fun, where bots provide most of the time a good AI. But there is one flaw. This game isn't a game that you should play without friends, because if you do, you will get easily bored, because it tends to become repetitive. Yes, the flaw is the repetitivness. I like the car customization; it gives a reason to keep playing the game. But, guys, the many ways you can kick the ball is staggering, I mean, you can do those fancy aerial kicks, even though I perform them very rarely, but many pros can do that. There is tons of kicks you can do and they are oh so satisfying to perform, because of the perfect physics that this game has. (8/10)
    Engine: It looks visually smooth and it's perfectly designed. The engine here shines brightly, not only because of the very good graphics, but more because of the perfect physics. The physics here are so slick, so stunning its overwhelming. The maps are well designed and the car models are just beautiful. (10/10)

    A very solid soundtrack and nice sound effects. (10/10)
    Replay value:
    This is a mixed bag. If you'll play this game with friends, this game is surely awesome during every match. But if you'll play alone, be prepared to face a slight boredom after 50 matches, because it does show the repetitivness of the game more than it does when you're playing with friends. (7.5/10)

    Simply one of the greatest multiplayer games of our time. It sits comfortably with the likes of Counter-Strike, Quake and WoW in terms of milestones in multiplayer gaming. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll have off days and you'll have spectacular nights. If you haven't already, for god's sake start playing Rocket League.

    If more people played this game the world would be a better place. You log in at 8:30 PM and you look up and its 2 :30 am and you cant believe that much time just went by that's how addictive this game is and it looks like it could get better.

    Overall, the game is absolutely amazing but looses 3 points for the terrible camera, it's really that bad.
    And it isn't worth taking off points just because it's made for a controller or because the bots even on All-Star difficulty tend to be rather stupid and mix teams.    … Expand

    This is a fun game with a learning curve that is not to steep for newbie players to adapt to. The best thing about this is there is no pay to win way to the top, it is all about skill. It is a game you can either drop in and out of for brief sessions or embark on a lengthy spat.

    So much fun with this game. Its good because no need to wait long for find a new game. Matches are really fast, dynamic. Its great game to listen music while playing. But I would like to see a new mode with the ball that doenst fly so high, a little faster back down. Ball on the pitch moves enough fast, but in the air falling too slowly.

Endless replayability, and what is said about the game is true; it's a sports game for people that don't like sports games. It's worth the asking price two times over.     On the outside Rocket League seems like it's just car soccar, but it's so much more than that. I'm not a football/soccer fan but I still very much enjoy this game. RL is action packed, fast, fun with friends and is also very competetive. There's always an aspect where you can improve and this makes it so much to play because youre a new player each game!

    I'll start off with saying I haven't been this into a game since Call of Duty MW2 came out, it's very easy to lose many hours in this game, the amount of mechanics involved is huge and each one fun to learn about, positioning and game sense are also super important, this game really is the cliché 'easy to get into, hard to master'. After 1,000+ hours i'm still learning things I didn't know about which is the cool thing about this game, there's pretty much no ceiling cap on skill.

    Practicing training packs and freeplay are the best bet for getting better, spend a few hours working on your mechanics consistently and you'll see improvement real quick. The competitive side of this game is equally fun but you will come across toxic people like in every other competitive game. The game has a great e-sports scene, that's proper entertaining, especially RLCS, that keeps the game going.

    5 minute games is perfect for someone who doesn't want to commit too much time to playing and just wants to play some casual quick games, but for competitive the hours really do need to be put in to get good, its not something that happens over a few weeks, but you will see improvements which is what motivates you to get better.

    There's no boring moment when playing Rocket League since there's only a few players on the pitch. Also great in-game music directly from Monstercat that's updated every few weeks! The game has nice maps with different game modes that keep you busy if you wanna switch things up, and a strong amount of community maps in the workshop to test your ability or just have some fun in. The game has seasonal events that give you the opportunity to get new items while just playing which is nice. There is a Rocket Pass in the game which is the same as a Battle Pass in other games that gives some cool items, although some items are a bit uninspired. Also a new introduction of a blueprint system to replace crates and the inclusion of an item shop that has pretty expensive items wasn't the best thing they could have done.     Pros: Great controls, Epic graphics, Awesome item system, Cheap crates, Fun and intense gameplay, Easy trades, Easy party system, Imaginative gamemodes, and Quick lobby times (15-30s)

    Cons: Bad for noobs (Extremely hard to learn)

    Who knew that adding cars and sports would be fun? Oh, okay... that wasn't that hard to find out but the execution, gameplay, controls, camera, everything is really amazing.
    It's soccer with cars, basically that with a little of a demolition derby to it and turbo... it's that simple. And it's sooo good. at first you are lost and laughing the whole game,    New eSport and it's so much fun!

    Love it, it's a time killer must have. Played it both on PS4 and PC and I'm quite satisfied in both platforms. Easy matchmaking and fun games.

    Very colorful game with decent graphics. Mostly fun with friends. You don't need an ultra gaming PC either, with solid hardware the game should run smoothly and beautifully. The controls are very precise and direct, giving you a real feeling of controlling the strength and direction of the ball. But sooner or later you get stuck on the same rank season after season, which can take away some of the fun in the game. It costs nothing, even if it is unfortunately only available exclusively on Epic.

    Punishes people for leaving when 1: the game is over 9 to 1 score with 10 seconds left and teamates still wont leave wasting everybodies time and 2: When players are actively griefing you, score own goals on purpose, save shots on the other teams goal all the time... I mean am I supposed to sit their for 5+ minutes taking it in the ass by trolls to avoid temp bans from cueing?     Do you remember “Top Gear” episodes in which football matches were played using hatchbacks? The same idea is the cornerstone of Rocket League – one of those jewels that do not care for bells and whistles (though it does look great) and Kevin Spacey in the credits, instead focusing on squeezing every last drop of fun out of a simple concept.
