    This is the "sequel" to the awesome Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars from the PS3 in 2008. SARPBC was the best game that came out that year (I am fully aware that GTA IV came out in 2008). I put "sequel" in quotes, because it's largely the same game with new trimmings. However, that is not an insult.     It is hard (or impossible) to overstate how much fun this game is, because you get no assistance from the computer. Everything you get in this game is earned through skill. Lucky shots exist, but you'll find that the only way to perform consistently is to master control of your car and collisions with the ball.

    There are only minor differences between the myriad cars you see in the screenshots, so everything comes down to player skill, not choice of car. "Play balance" isn't something we have to worry about here.

    After over 300 hours with this title, I can say they have done the original game great justice, and created something that will last for many years to come. It only gets to be more fun as you get better at it.    … Expand

    First and foremost, RL is pure fun from the moment you pick it up just due to its fast pace and physics. It seems easy on the surface - just drive around and hit the ball. But underneath there's a layer of complexity that takes time and skill to master. Before you know it you'll be driving up the walls and launching yourself into the air with rocket boost. You don't have to be a soccerFirst and foremost, RL is pure fun from the moment you pick it up just due to its fast pace and physics.     A very fun game, i have never played anything like this and that's what makes Rocket League fun to play. I wish they got more better servers so i didn't lag because playing bots is quite boring.

    Rocket League captures the feeling of a soccer match far better than FIFA, PES or any other soccer title out there thanks to it's action-packed, physics-based gameplay where all the players on the field are actual people. The skill-curve is perfect for a competitive game and there are no glitches/exploits to take away the fun. This is hands-down the best sports title available on any platform.

    One of the very few games i like these days. Great fun and gameplay. It also got a good price and is totally pay2win free, so a great example for other developers/publishers.

    OK, got this on PS plus, had no idea what it was and no expectations.
    First time I booted this up I had 3 other friends over, and we played the **** out of it for 6 hours straight.
    It has since been the primary party game for my friends and I.
    You don't have to like soccer, you don't have to like cars...it's just a really fun game.

I've now spent about 220 hours with the final version and still can't get enough of it. My index finger actually hurts of pressing the right trigger too much. So, be careful - this    - Football

    A perfect 10. Fast paced turbo boosted car soccer! What else is there to say? I'm not even into sports game and this is hands down one of the greatest games I've ever played! Wether you're a hardcore addict or just someone who enjoys playing casual games you will definitely have a good time! It is a very easy game to join as a beginner due to its huge emphasis on teamwork. People actuallyA perfect 10. Fast paced turbo boosted car soccer! What else is there to say?     i love cars games and hate football but this game somehow connect both of this worlds into one amazing game.
    i seriously don't know what it is that i love in this game so much i just know i fell in love with it from the moment i started playing and can't stop playing it

    When i first heard of this game, I thought "its just soccer with cars how fun can it be?"
    Well it turns out this game gave me the most fun ive had playing any video game in a long time.

    Best game of this year so far! :D I can only imagine how much fun this game would be to play with you friends, The game even has a ranking system if you get addicted to trying to stay above your friends in that aspect! :D

    In an era of gaming where developers behave like politicians, we have Psyonix; the company that brought us a game with as much replay value as any, at a third of the cost. They listen to the fans, and they do a phenomenal job at giving us what we want... and have yet to charge an extra dime for core content.     this game is so WOW its such a good game and you can play both ps4 with pc and i really liked the game its amazing game and I recommend people to buy it..

    As I contrast my two most recent purchases, Halo 5 and Rocket League, how can it be that a game that’s spawned countless spin offs, books, TV shows and the love of millions of devoted fans be beaten by what is essentially soccer with Go Carts.

    The answer is simple, it’s just fun.

    Now comparing Halo 5 to Rocket League isn’t entirely fair I’ll agree, they’re two different Genres and two very different games, but what I will say after having blasted my way through 10, 000 rooms of identical enemies over the course of the Halo 5 Campaign I was as bored as Lindsay Lohan at a sobriety seminar.

    Then came Rocket League, oh sweet Rocket League.

    Rocket League puts you in control of a Car; you play soccer against opponent vehicles to score more points. You can jump and boost your way around the map, the physics engine creates all sorts of random possibilities and there’s a real sense of accomplishment when things go exactly as you hoped they would and sometimes when they don’t.

    There’s offline mode with bots and a varety of ranked and unranked online matches, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 (my personal favorite).

    I would also like to add there are some fantastic customization options for your car that you unlock as you progress, they’re nothing extravagant and they don’t add any advantage or disadvantage to their use, but they feel well placed in a game as whacky as this.

    All in all this game cannot be faulted for anything I can think of.

    It’s simple, fast paced, fun, addictive and a rewarding experience.

    Worth the hype. All my friends play it so I thought I will try it too. Its as simple as getting the ball into the net. For some one who has loved cars and ball games for as long as I can remember this is perfect. It reminds me of the days when I we were all playing Trackmania. No regrets 10/10

    This game is well worth the money. Super fun to play and very addictive. I'm excited to see how the Rumble update improves the game. I dislike the ranking system as it's based on levels, which can be attained by playing a lot and not by actual skill.

    Finally something new. Not another zombie-survival-shooter. I like Rocket League's simplicity and how much fun is playing it with your friends. I also didn't find any cons of this game, it's amazing!

    Easily one of the best games I've ever played. Takes talent, and gives back oodles of fun.
    For the initial price of $20, some of the best money I've ever spent, and I really feel I'm gonna keep it around for years to come

Of course, you can also play with your friends at home via. local co-op because it's one of the games which has a splitscreen mechanism for up to 4 players - true old-school gaming! It also features several offline modes, such as exhibition matches against bots or season mode against bots. And of course, it also features a tutorial and a training mode which both are well made.

    Gameplay: Rocket League is incredibly balanced. Ever battle-car has the same speed, the same maneuverability and the same jump height. The only thing which is slightly different between the battle-cars is the hitbox, but you probably won't notice that the hitbox is different at all. The general gameplay is very fast, very fun and very addictive. The controls are simple, but mastering the cars and the battle-car is difficult. The bots are playing surprisingly good, there's a high possibility that you will lose your first games against the bots.

    Customization possibilities: Players are able to customize their battle-car by unlocking items which are gained by completing an online or offline match. This includes changing the body, decal (skin), paint, wheels, rocket trail, topper (hat) and antenna of the battle-car. In total, there are more than 150 customization items unlockable, which means that there are millions of different customizations possible

    My conclusion: Rocket League is incredibly fun. Rocket League is incredibly addictive. Rocket League is incredibly competitive. If I would have to compare the gameplay to another game, I would only be able to choose Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, which is the prequel to Rocket League, made by the same developer. I strongly recommend to buy this game even if you don't like sports games as Rocket League feels way different compared to FIFA or PES. In my opinion Rocket League is definitely worth the money.    … Expand

    love this game incredible graphic and gameplay with a lot of adds on cars. easy to learn and hard to master. this game give you a lot of choices to win the match by you own decision. so dont waste your time and buy it.

    This game is better than FIFA, which means it does better than an EA Sports title. That's all you need to know when deciding whether or not to purcahse this.

    I would say it is essentially the same game but with improvements across the board. The graphics are more detailed, the Physics and realism    Rocket League aka Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars 2 (SARPBC 2) is essentially a really good re-make of the first SARPBC which was my "go to" game for around 5 years!!!! They have kept true to their original design concept = Awesome.

    I would say it is essentially the same game but with improvements across the board. The graphics are more detailed, the Physics and realism of the game play are true to the original. The Arena's are all similar in shape to the most popular pitch in SARPBC (Urban) but they do vary in weather conditions and have both day & night play. I have heard they are developing additional Arena's of different shapes which is cool.

    The matchmaking system wants to match you to similar skilled players, whereas in the original you could be matched against the best players and get spanked :( or against noobs and spank them = boring.
    So now with similar skilled players there is always the competitive edge that makes you want to do better and have "JUST ONE MORE GAME !!!!"

    There were several different cars in SARPBC with only 4 different paint jobs for each car. Now there are a staggering amount of customisations available from different wheel trims to HATS and even more cars to choose from !!!! So you can have the coolest looking car on the pitch.

    Offline mode previously allowed you some skills training to learn the ropes and this is much the same now with Rocket League. However now you can try your skills against the bots in either Exhibition maps or Season Mode. Having completed 2 seasons (9 weeks & 18 weeks) it is very compelling and challenging. Yes the Bots make silly mistakes but in my experience playing SARPBC so do a lot of players. With the overwhelming success of Rocket League I feel confident that Pysonix will be improving Bot skills making it even more challenging.

    Overall I'm very impressed with Rocket League. In SARPBC it took me a couple of games to grips with the basics, several hours to get to a decent level and having played at least 10 hours a week for 5 years of SARPBC I was still learning how to score that FreeStyle Aerial Goal!!!

    I'm very much looking forward to developing my skills in Rocket League. BRING IT ON !!!!!    … Expand

    This game is all about FUN. In my opinion, console gaming is about having fun playing a game with some friends on a couch. This game is exactly that ! It's so addictive and fun to play, the online and the offline !! A must try for everyone !!

    You have to play this game. Srsly. You can't judge it by just watching the screenshots or even videos, you have to FEEL it. The game is mad fun, gaming at its best.

    And it's surprisingly deep too. It's easy to pick up, but to _really_ mastering it, it will keep you busy for a long time.

    And the devs are the best.

    At a glance, the game seems completely bland in concept. An indie soccer game with cars? I thought nothing of it, but signed up for the beta anyways. After playing, I couldn't get enough. The game is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. It's easy to understand the basics, but will take a lot of time to get genuinely good at the game.     There has been some server issues because of the super high demand for the game but that is to be expected when a online game gets so much hype.    The game is very addicting and fun.     It's my GOTY above Witcher, Ark, or anything else. The replayability (it's easy to pick up but quite difficult to truly master), the fact it really does replicate the chaos of what an actual indoor soccer game feels like (something no other sports game has truly done with their sport choice). Best $20 I've spent on a game in a couple years. Gets even    Most fun game of the year, easily.

    Do you remember “Top Gear” episodes in which football matches were played using hatchbacks? The same idea is the cornerstone of Rocket League – one of those jewels that do not care for bells and whistles (though it does look great) and Kevin Spacey in the credits, instead focusing on squeezing every last drop of fun out of a simple concept.
