A solid game. Great mechanics, easy to pick up, fun to play, and although frustrating at times it's still a fantastic game.

If you are more competitive, you can go into ranked mode and see the extremely high skill ceiling that Rocket League provides. Watch some youtube videos and you will see the ridiculous moves the more pro gamers can do, which obviously comes with a lot of training. So, if you enjoy getting better as you spend hundreds of hours on a video game, Rocket League will please you. There is basically no limit to how much you can improve your skills.

In addition, the game has very tight controls and fun gameplay. I hated the music, but that’s personal taste. The only reason I did not love Rocket League as much as many others, is that in my opinion, the game at its core is very basic. I did enjoy it for several hours, but I could not take it seriously for longer than that. There is absolutely nothing wrong about making a game with basic gameplay especially when it was executed perfectly like in the case of Rocket League. I just can’t justify giving it a higher score, taking into consideration all the other video games I’ve had more fun playing.

An addicting and super amusing game of cars kicking balls into nets. Playing with friends is really fun and focusing on competitive is also enjoyable. It's cheap, looks nice and it is very good. A must-have.

i Love the fact that this game is ALL about skill. There isn't a "luck script" or scripted things like in most of the games. if something happens, it's because of your action or the opponent's one. It's fantastic for casual gamers, for the E-sport scene, and i love how in those 2 years it became one of the best E-sports of the world.

Rocket League is a game you can always come back to no matter what. It is based mainly on online multiplayer granting you satisfaction as you climb through the ranks to try and get better rewards by the end of each season, with only a few negatives such as slow updates and toxic players this game is a must have for the price.

It's awesome with friends, it has local multiplayer and LAN party, features that many big online games tend to dispose of as of late, and the developers care and keep making content for it. The matchmaking both for casual and competitive is usually pretty fair, and there's only occasional server hiccups. There's cosmetic loot boxes but they are very discreet and you only spend extra money if you really want to. On top of that it's very reasonably priced and it features amazing graphics, presentation and soundtrack. A must play if you like mechanically complex, skill based competitive games and even if you don't, there's still plenty of fun to be found just by goofing around with some friends.

And with that, the game allows you to and follows you through that journey. Although others give this a low rating because of toxic players and hacked accounts, that's their fault and others' fault. Don't listen to the toxicity, because Rocket League really has a great community. The developers genuinely care about their players. My account got hacked by a website called www.rocket-reality.com, and I messaged Devin on Reddit, and he was super nice about it, and really helped me out. This is a fantastic game, and I recommend it to anyone to likes to play with friends, or just wants to have a good time, because I can guarantee it: you will. Expand

Since August 2015, I have played endless hours of Rocket League and practiced relentlessly; enjoying every second of it. In my experience, Rocket League is truly different from a common video game. Rocket League offers a unique experience for players in search of engaging gameplay, entrancing soundtracks, and exhilarating competition.
Players who play Rocket League for the first time are introduced to the arena. The intuitive design of the Rocket League arena makes it particularly easy for new players to jump right in. However, as players progress to higher skill levels, challenging game mechanics become apparent.
The game mechanics that are built within Rocket League are very awkward to an unfamiliar player. Once players conquer the awkwardness of controlling their cars, the arena transforms into a more complex level of play. Players start to learn how the physics work, and how objects react to each other within the arena. After many hours of practice, players can start to effectively predict how the environment will react and often be able to manipulate it accordingly.
There is a great sense of gratification and satisfaction when a player successfully executes a difficult maneuver. It is within these small moments where Rocket League captivates new players, leaving them with a determination to improve their skills. Still, the game mechanics are not all Rocket League has to offer. Rocket League touts a very impressive customization system that could arguably be its most appreciated feature.
Rocket League offers a massive library of collectible items that players can use to customize their cars with. Items range over multiple rarity types, with some items being rarer to find than others. Players can trade these items between each other in order to acquire an item more to their liking. Some of these collectible items are so rare, that there are third-party markets where players offer real currency in exchange for them. Players can customize what color their car is, what type of wheels are installed, the type of paint used, and players can even equip a hat on top of their car. This gives absolute freedom of expression to the player and allows them to create a car according to their preference. Through this, Rocket League creates the ability for players to conveniently personalize their cars and become more attached to their gaming experience.
Psyonix, developers of Rocket League, produce original soundtracks that are specifically made to portray the theme of Rocket League. Teamed up with Monstercat, a well-known electronic music producer, each soundtrack is created with a part of Rocket League’s personality. Each soundtrack embodies a spectrum of emotions the player might feel when handling a rocket-powered car. Filled with fast-paced rhythms and hypnotizing beats, the soundtracks can effectively set the mood for playing some Rocket League. It is not uncommon to feel energized to compete after listening to one of these original soundtracks.
Rocket League offers a variety of different ways for a player to get involved with the game competitively. By default, players can use the matchmaking design inside of Rocket League to match up with players of similar skill levels. The ranked matchmaking system allows players to pursue prestige on a ladder style ranking system where players compete for victory. Victories reward players with ranking points, improving their ranked status; whereas, losses will degrade their ranked status. For players who reach the top of this ladder, Psyonix holds an annual tournament called the Rocket League Championship Series where professional players around the world compete for abundant cash rewards. In addition, players can also compete in smaller tournaments that are hosted by the Rocket League community itself. These smaller tournaments still offer some amount of reward, but more importantly, offer a way for the community to engage with each other.
Rocket League continually proves it can live up to the success it has garnered over the years since 2015. Through excellently refined gameplay, players find gratification in their victories and determination in their losses. A well-designed customization system gives players creative freedom within the game itself, providing a sense of individuality among the populous. A passionately produced soundtrack mesmerizes players in a reverie of Rocket League ambiance that is updated regularly. Fierce competition and challenging tournaments cause players to practice and hone their skills to win massive rewards. All these features come together to create a truly innovative video game. Rocket League is an unforgettable experience that grips its players with exciting gameplay, hypnotizing soundtracks and heart-stopping competition.

Nice epic dynamic game, but also has a lot of problems, which can ruined all fun. Servers are in really bad condition - it's almost impossible to find match, where nobody has problems with packet loss or ping jumping. Another problem is physics, which can be totally random sometimes. That's why IMO this game never be good e-sport title.

This is probably the best multiplayer game out right now. This is a skill based game, and it's refreshing to see such a game achieve this level of popularity. However, I have a hard time recommending this to casual players. The game has a steep difficulty curve, so be warned. This is a great game.

I can't praise this game much more, but I will say that there are some issues with matchmaking. There are instances where you will get matched against players that are far better or worse than you (this is more typical if you're playing in a group or at the beginning of a season in ranked). And my only caution to new players thinking of getting the game is that because the portion of the player base that are beginners I believe is small now, you may have alot of tough matches ahead of you. This is the "sequel" to the awesome Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars from the PS3 in 2008. It is hard (or impossible) to overstate how much fun this game is, because you get no assistance from the computer. Everything you get in this game is earned through skill. Lucky shots exist, but you'll find that the only way to perform consistently is to master control of your car and collisions with the ball.

There are only minor differences between the myriad cars you see in the screenshots, so everything comes down to player skill, not choice of car. "Play balance" isn't something we have to worry about here.

After over 300 hours with this title, I can say they have done the original game great justice, and created something that will last for many years to come. It only gets to be more fun as you get better at it.
