Rig'n'Roll tried to set the bar too high and failed. It's an interesting game, but way too off-balanced.
-
Having had no other experience with big rig trucking simulators, I can't say how Rig'n'Roll compares to its competitors, but it seems to run fairly smoothly and accomplish what it sets out to do as a truck-driving and trucking business simulator.
-
Rig'n'Roll is a lot more enjoyable than the subject matter might indicate, but after nearly a decade in production, it's still not completely finished. Bugs and flaws makes the experience less fun than it should have been.
-
GameStarIt took seven years to finish this game. It's a bit like a huge box of Legos without a manual. Lot's of great parts, but it takes some time and work until everything fits together. With a bit more design it could have been a milestone of simulation games.
-
Criticising a title like Rig'n'Roll for lack of variety would be churlish considering the niche subject matter, but even so, the lack of interesting graphical presentation, open-world vitality or any compelling storyline presentation doesn't help its cause as you make your way from point A to point B for the 90th time.
-
Give credit to SoftLab-Nsk for trying. Rig 'n' Roll is hardly the best racing game of the year, but it's certainly better than the competition.
-
Those looking for a truck driving sim will find a decent simulation here that doesn't really add anything new to the genre but doesn't significantly detract from it either. Those who are expecting a game that brings truck driving sims into the mainstream, however, will likely find themselves falling asleep at the wheel.
-
Rig'n'Roll could have become an interesting trucker simulation, but it is very monotonously and the truck-driving is most of the time more boring than fun. The simulation of the own trucker-company gives you a lot of possibilities, like employing some truck-drivers for you company and buying them different trucks to drive with and earn money for you.
-
Level7.nuWeird and mediocre truck simulation fails at the most important thing – there's no fun here. Maybe if you want to practice truck driving in California you appreciate the detailed road map. [Issue#191]
