Very nice RTS set in late 80s which actually allows you to act like the commander rather than click spamming the latest winning Meta. Got me hooked from the get go on the operations / campaign. There’s still plenty of diversity in the game and it has a great mix of winning elements from other successful RTS games combined with some genuine innovations. Strong word in conflict vibes but somehow also reminds me of the close combat series. Really hope they keep developing on this platform and add more content because this is an absolute winner. Expand

A rock solid, chock full Cold War crisis RTS that's instantly accessible and worthier than it's competition for the ageing single player mil-sim strategist. Actual Tactics without the crazy clickfest, no spambot cheating AI, persistent damage battlefields across multi-phase operations in the campaign(only other RTS with this feature set was Close Combat series as I recall), great graphics especially lighting and explosion effects, lovingly detailed unit models right down to the gas masks on the G.I . Sound and music are also top notch and the single best feature? The Pause Button (in addition to time slow options Makes it actually playable and far less frustrating than the Wargame series). Persistent Operations campaign mode is so well though out and engaging, can't wait for expansions for it. Also nice bit of added touch by adding a jaded CIA field agent's notes and memoirs to the briefings, adds to the world building. Highly recommended for the price and it is a AA+ effort from a very small dev team. Expand

while only a single player game (might change with later updates) this game is a really solid and realistic RTS war simulator, with a brutal AI that punishes you for small mistakes and forces you to be careful and preserve your troops since a that gain XP and level for accuracy and faster shooting ( so no going all out) while at it no AI does mot cheat or spawn troops out of air, they usewhile only a single player game (might change with later updates) this game is a really solid and realistic RTS war simulator, with a brutal AI that punishes you for small mistakes and forces you to be careful and preserve your troops since a that gain XP and level for accuracy and faster shooting ( so no going all out) while at it no AI does mot cheat or spawn troops out of air, they use really good tactics and ways to flank you so it is a fair game that depends on your skill and calmness, and since it does not need micro management like some other games it can be pretty easy to learn for new people that get into RTS

the graphics are perfect with rally detailed maps, sounds are done well (except so radio sounds that can be annoying) the game play is smooth and i saw no frame dips, and the campaign is long and diverse that can keep you interested with different scenarios.

while the single player only aspect hurts the game to some aspect it is a solid RST game.

Regiments, a real-time tactics game almost completely free of micromanagement and focused on combat, is worth checking out if you’re a fan of World in Conflict or Wargame by Eugen Systems. It fails to bring anything new to the genre, but is overall a solid offering.

Dynamic, very thrilling battles in the fateful year 1989. Adequate learning curve, also suitable for beginners.

Regiments puts some interesting spins on the Cold War RTS formula, but its sustainability and longevity are hampered by the lack of MP and multiplayer.
