This game has everything that a TRUE WWII fan will enjoy! It might be a little lacking for all you graohics nuts out there, but if you are a true WWII fan, the realism of this game is unmatched by any other. Back to the game though. The tank battles are intense. You are capable of taking shots at other tanks that are over 1000 meters away! And as a driver/gunner/commander you actually have time to make decisions and use tactics. Not like some other FPS games out there where it's just a bunch of acne ridden teens shooting anything that moves to see who can get the most kills after 15 mins. This game is a MUST HAVE for those who appreciate realism and accuracy in WWII themed games and NOT just another reason for a FPS. Expand

Great simulation of WW2. But that doesn't make it a fun game. Far too much spaced out running and spending time doing boring things.

Red Orchestra is the best online shooter... Nah, the best online soldier simulation world ever saw. I can nearly feel like at the real battlefield. There's no chance that productions like ArmA or Op. Flashpoint are better in this (scripts!). Full 10/10 and I'm still waiting for more modifications and addons!

Gorgeous. This game is like no other WWII shooter you've ever played, or one you will play in the near future. The very sensitive damage system actually gives you motivation to take cover and do whatever you need to do to survive, specially in the larger maps where you're spawned all the way across the map from your objective. Not for everyone. But definately for anyone Gorgeous. This game is like no other WWII shooter you've ever played, or one you will play in the near future. The only down part is servers constantly running the same huge maps when there are plenty of extremely fun infantry maps to play as well. But you can't really blame the game for that. Expand

Red Orchestra is amazingly realistic, and a lot of care has been put into its historical accuracy. The infantry combat is challenging and rewarding; the tanks are an absolute blast. Definitely the best WW2 game I have ever played.

RO: Ostfrnot 41-45 is really a TEAM effort game... that is IF you can find a team that doesn't shoot you in the back just for the fun of it. I haven't seen any TEAM effort at all, though on occasion a few people try to make it a statigic game, yet fail miserably due to the idiots who have no clue as to how to work together.

I love this game. It's extremely realistic but still good at the same time. The only downside is there are several small bugs, very few of which majorly affect the gameplay and AI is kinda bad even on the highest difficulty. Also, the loading times are long.

The ease of use with this game is very high. Finding servers and friends is easy and reliable. Downloading and installing is almost effortless. the game has a manual with relevant info and the menus are well laid out. Really the only challenging thing about the game is surviving. You have to be smart to survive. if your not you have two choices. learn to fight smart, or get used to respawning.

The graphics are great, I turned all mine up to max and it still runs smooth (P4 3.0, 1 gig RAM, Nvidia 5700LE vcard). The maps are great eye candy. You have to get used to iron sights (no crosshairs, on any gun), and some realistic slow reloads and rifle cocking, but it is worth it.

There's very little gameyness in RO and a whole lot of gritty crawling along the ground so you can flank over to that machine gunner and allow your team to advance to the next spawn point objective.
  3. Red Orchestra is an enjoyable, team-based online shooter for those who like the Battlefield-style games but want a more technical and realistic experience.
