    I can summarize Red Dead Online on just single thing: Error 0x20010006

    Red Dead Online has great potential, but errors in Rockstar's service makes the game unviable because you are disconnected from the game every 10-20min. Sometimes we feel that Rockstar does not care about this error because it has been there since the launch of Online mode on consoles.

    First of all, there's so many bugs in this game. Crashing, not wanting to start up, teleporting enemies, etc.

    Why are there timers where they're not supposed to be? It's not like my bounty target is gonna dissolve into dust if I take more than 10 minutes. No chance to enjoy it, or play it in your own way. Stealth? Nope, takes too long and you'd run out of time. Not like the game even    First of all, there's so many bugs in this game.     Stealth? Nope, takes too long and you'd run out of time. Not like the game even allows stealth anyway, as killing a secluded enemy using a bow still alerts the entire area for some reason.
    Safely sniping enemies from a distance? Nope, also takes too long.
    Rushing through enemy fire, hoping you don't die just so you can get to the target in time? Bingo, that's your only option. At least the timer gets reset/increased when you get the target on your horse.

    Horse riding is a pain. There's a driving "assist" that helps steer your horse so you don't run into trees or rocks. It's like 2 people in a single car, both driving at the same time. I try to go left to avoid the tree, the game makes my horse go to the right, and we end up going straight into the tree anyway.
    It's probably to simulate the horse's actual instinct, as it probably wouldn't willingly run into something, but it's definitely annoying. There's a limit to how much realism a game can take.

    It's still a fun game, but with all the bugs/bad game design it has it easily gets to the point where both my friend and I just rage quit.

    The game does look beautiful, has great physics and runs surprisingly smooth. However, good graphics and good physics doesn't mean much if the gameplay and stability of the game have to suffer for it.

    Other than that, it's just an inferior version of GTA Online. Mostly though because it's new and hasn't had a chance for a lot of updates/expansions yet, and there's only so much you can do with a wild west theme. If you don't particularly care about the wild west theme, GTA Online > Red dead online.

    I really hope they'll fix some of the problems and design flaws this game has, and add some great content in the future. It's got so much potential to be an amazing game.    … Expand

Постоянные вылеты из сервера и пропажа вещей из инвентаря это обыденное дело. После часа фарма вылетает ошибка и просто кикает тебя удалив все что ты нафармил. К покупке неПродукт очень сырой и брать это сейчас не рекомендую.     - Si no te gastas doinero en lingotes de oro, ten paciencia te esperan semanas de no hacer nada asta ahorrar los 15 lingotes que cuesta el primer rol y asi poder empezar a jugar a algo. (ten en cuenta que en la campaña ya puedes hacer todo no necesitas desbloquear lka caza, la busqeda de colecciones es muy triste tener que pagar por eso
    - Los minijuegos multiplayer son de risa... tienes el autoapuntar igual... por lo que te quedas detras de una piedra dandole a los dos gatillos y te cargas a todos, pese a ni verlos en pantalla por la vegetacion o lo que sea...
    -Los servidores son de pena... y te tiran lo emnos 1 o 2 veces por hora... perdiendo TODO el progeso de lo que estubieras haciendo en ese momento
    - Obviamente luego hay combos... estaba entregando caza para hacer ORO para poder comprar un ROL y asi poderme dibertir jugando a esto... cuando el server me tira... vuelvo a entrar he perdido toda la jornada de caza porque ya no aparecen los pellejos en el caballo y ademas me ha movido el campamento al otro puto lado del mapa y tengo que ir asta alli con un control de caballo que da pena y sin una puta cancion de banda sonora siquiera ni ningun evento que vaya a ver o cosa que descubrir por el camino.    … Expand

    This is for those who are banned in the original, for entertainment cheaters that would be banned again but not expensive to buy a new activation of the game - THIS BUSINESS ROCKSTAR !

No interest whatsoever in playing online with a bunch of 14 year olds, many of whom are hacking like crazy.

    Same issue there as GTAV but far worse. Worst of all, it disconnects, and the    Very broken.     No real performance issue but I am playing on a 5ghz 8700k PC with very extreme custom watercooling. GPU is a 2080TI with extremely high speeds but even I can see that it runs like it was coded for something else. I have seen games running on linux via wine run better.

    It's full of bugs, eternal disconnects, grifers, and total lacking of any content. You want to play some series? Have a disconnect in your face every match, during play, during results, during start - error, error, error. It's total and unplayable trash, worst online experience i've ever had. Rip, Arthur, they have trown your legacy into the trash bin.

Самое главное что ни кто ни хочет ничего предпринимать чтоб хоть как то это исправить, но хотят чтоб вы покупали золотые слитки. Rockstar Games устала продавать копии игр и решила присосаться к сиське доната.     Баги не правятся, с читерами не боряться, хорошие обновы появляются очень редко и чаще приносят с собой либо новые баги либо исправленные старые.

    Пишу это в 2021. Онлайн не плохой, но вот есть минусы - ошибки подключения( их вроде фиксят и они реже появляются) немного скучно играть( аргуменитированно это прокачкой перса, и тд.) Новичкам сложно играть, в том числе и мне было. По началу сложно зарабатывать бабки и голду. К сожалению это похать рокстар. Вывод - донать чтобы играть нормально, а если нет, то не жалуйся и жри говно)Пишу это в 2021.     But the constant grinding for the several in-game currencies is a chore. And you literally feel forced    The game, even in 2021, is quite buggy. Timers that don't show. But I can deal with all of that, as it has reached a point where I can at least enjoy the game for a couple of hours without issue.

    But the constant grinding for the several in-game currencies is a chore. And you literally feel forced to buy the gold using real-life money, to get to a point where the game starts to feel enjoyable. That's just a really anti-consumer move given that you just paid for the game. So a huge warning to anyone thinking about buying Red Dead Online: This game barely let's you unlock anything for the first 6 hours of gameplay. And even after that, you are incessantly encouraged to buy gold from their store, using real money, to unlock simple things such as horses and equipment.

    Rockstar might excuse themselves with: "Yes, you can buy gold, but you can also earn it in-game, so what's the problem? Just play it some more"... Well, balancing is the problem! Even getting the first initial 15 gold required to unlock the first specialist trait takes many, many hours! And you end up scrounging the internet for tips on how to speed it up. And there are tips that make is slightly more bearable. And those tips include "When you're done with a mission, don't deliver the bounty target until the timer is almost run out. That will give you the most gold". So you end up camping outside the sheriff's office for 10 minutes, doing NOTHING! You're just standing there, to max out the gold outcome.

    Some would argue that you can just spend that time on hunting some animals or similar. But it is just terribly designed! Hunting with a darn timer breathing down your neck is not my idea of a good time in a game. It's grinding at it's absolute worst. And Rockstar should be ashamed!

    And let me say this: You WILL be using those tips. Because delivering the bounty target right away, with 10 minutes left on the clock, will net you 0.08 gold. Waiting will get you 0.36! That's a significant difference.

    And it's just terrible that it has to be that way. It's designed to have the players spend more time in the game, without actually doing anything. It will boost the stats on Rockstars servers, making it look like more players are spending a lot of time in the game, even though they are just standing around waiting for timers to run out.

    And it's such a waste, because the game has a lot of potential. And in-between the grinding, it has moments of brilliance. If they would just balance it better, it would actually be fun. The missions are fun. And the chaos you can wreak is pretty fun too. It just feels like a chore to get even the most basic guns and outfits and whatnot.

    Opening that catalogue to look over the options is basically a huge poster of things you can't have for the first 100 hours of gameplay. With requirements being a mix of rank, gold, dollars and "weird blue things", most things won't unlock until you are incredibly far into the game. We're talking several hundreds of hours of grinding, for basic outfits and horses.

    I did a bit of calculation. 1 horse. ONE HORSE! Costs upwards of 25 gold. You can buy that gold, with 10 real-life dollars. So ONE HORSE costs 10 real-life dollars. Want an outfit? That's 10 more real-life dollars! Tally that up, and you'll have spend hundreds of real-life dollars, even to get the most basic things you want. But you can always play the game for hundreds of hours of course, so Rockstar is in the clear...

    And the worst part is, that this doesn't even net Rockstar more money in the end. Because I am loosing patience with the game. The constant grinding is demotivating me to the point of simply giving up. And I am sure I can't be the only one feeling that way. If the game was well-balanced, I might even consider buying some gold using real-life money. I actually wouldn't mind! But knowing that a horse costs 10 real-life dollars? No thanks... It's not worth it. It's just the worst of both worlds.

    This game is a big bag of mixed feelings. I've maxed all roles and done pretty much everything there is to do so I think I have enough experience to review this one. To keep it short:

    Pros: + Easily the most immersive game I've played. Great graphics, great audio and great atmosphere + I do really like the theme Cons: - Wonky controls and gameplay mechanics - Griefers - Very    This game is a big bag of mixed feelings. I've maxed all roles and done pretty much everything there is to do so I think I have enough experience to review this one. To keep it short:

    Pros:
    + Easily the most immersive game I've played. Great graphics, great audio and great atmosphere
    + I do really like the theme

    Cons:
    - Wonky controls and gameplay mechanics
    - Griefers
    - Very shallow content-wise:

    At the beginning you'll need to unlock "roles", kind of professions which are pretty much the only content in the game, apart from few story missions and few random "stranger"-missions. To unlock roles you either need to pay real money or grind dailies for gold, which will be terribly slow at start. Oh and talking about dailies, you'll pretty much grind those when you unlock your roles anyway. Each role consists of only a couple of different activities which you'll just grind to gain experience and level up those roles, only to be able to grind those activities a little bit more proficiently.

    Verdict: If you're looking to immerse yourself in a wild west setting, do consider playing this. If you're looking for good content, I'd avoid this one.    … Expand

    1. Hackers that blow you up repeatedly and the only option is to ALT-F4 because the game does not allow you to open the menus during the death/respawn animation -->    Beautiful and fun to roam around for a couple of evenings, but soon you realize what RDO is all about. It's like GTA Online but you're stuck on freemode in a fully populated server. Some of the worst annoyances are:

    1. Hackers that blow you up repeatedly and the only option is to ALT-F4 because the game does not allow you to open the menus during the death/respawn animation --> impossible to report or change server

    2. Grinding for gold, a resource that can be only obtained by paying real money or doing very boring missions or chasing daily objectives for dozens of hours. EVERYTHING is beyond rank or gold wall. You cannot even purchase a hat to your character in the beginning.

    3. Bugs. Textures go randombly blurry and the game crashes. NPC spawning into the air. Certain markers and critical NPCs missing from the map randomly. Missions not starting. Getting stuck inside the ground. I've now played this five times and I've had at least five game breaking bugs.

    4. Griefing. There are no private lobbies, so prepare to get griefed and your trader missions etc. ruined. Really fun when a rank 200 player with maximum upgrades, best weapons and stuff hunts you down for the fifth time while you're at rank 8.

    5. Stupid mechanics. (A) Lots of randomly spawning events that you can't help to trigger: if your daily is to clear hideouts, good luck finding them. (B) Stuff stowed on horses disappear randomly. (C) Wanna set a camp where you are? Not possible. (D) Want to fast travel to a location to avoid griefing? Not directly possible, and you have to remember the map by heart to do it as you cannot see it in the fast travel menu. (E) Want to rob trains or NPC? Not possible as in the single player. (F) Want to get maximum reward from missions? Do not do them effectively, but instead do them as slow as possible. The same sucky mechanics as in GTA Online contact missions. You should be rewarded by doing stuff fast or in a certain way (e.g. sneaky, no kills etc), but no.

    RDO is a perfect example of how to not make an open world MMO. Incredible potential flushed down the toilet. I'm glad that I only paid 5 dollars of this game.    … Expand

    Because of cheaters, it is impossible to play, they can chase you knowing exactly your location, non-stop killing you (I was level 14, i.e. just started playing), can literally crash your game, can respawn around you 5 bears at a time (i.e. instant death), can duplicate your horse, than bug the game, can respawn in front of you a box with loot for which rockstar will ban you.
    The integrity of the world collapses immediately, if you like this world, please stay with the single part, do not spoil your nerves with online.

    Let's start by saying Rockstar will not be adding anything else to online except some leftover telegram missions that haven't been released yet. They admitted that for the past 2 years they have been pulling resources from RDO to GTA 6.

    For new players there is a lot to do. However, being in lobbies with 10 or more people, much of the content will appear rarely, if ever. You have no    Let's start by saying Rockstar will not be adding anything else to online except some leftover telegram missions that haven't been released yet. They admitted that for the past 2 years they have been pulling resources from RDO to GTA 6.

    For new players there is a lot to do. However, being in lobbies with 10 or more people, much of the content will appear rarely, if ever. You have no idea how much there is unless you get into a solo lobby.

    There are 5 roles: Collector, Bounty Hunter, Moonshiner, Trader and Naturalist. IMO, naturalist is the worst, by far, and not worth the effort. The only reason to rank that role up a little is for the wilderness camp that you can use to fast travel from most places on the map.

    R* said, in the beginning, that roles will grow. For example, Bounty Hunters will be able to choose a path of crime or decide to become lawmen. Traders will be able to move into a store in one of the towns. They never happened.

    For long time players, there has been nothing of substance for us in the past year - year and 1/2. We've been pretty much ignored by R* when it came to bonuses and rewards.

    A suggestion for new players, take your time if you plan on playing for any length of time. You can get to rank 95 in a relatively short period of time but after that there are no rewards for leveling up. The game was intended to be slow paced. If people rush through the game there does come a point where there is nothing new to do or anything to accomplish and there are no plans for R* to add anything else.

    The story that leads you into RDO has not been completed. Some of the things were not implemented in the game from that opening story, such as the horse fence, so you're not able to sell horses you tame out in the wilds. Once you buy a horse you can not sell it when you're ready to replace it. You have to discard it.

    There are plenty of technical issues, many that have been there since beta days, and the rest that have been added since. Apparently, they are not going to be fixed.

    In the beginning, R* asked players for ideas for future additions. Rockstar ignored the most requested ideas such as properties, solo lobbies, and many other great ideas. Their focus was pretty much on reskinned clothing.

    I'd like to mention that the graphics in the game are, by far, the best graphics ever in a game. I have a top of the line PC, graphic card, and monitor and the game world looks as real as the actual world, but even on lesser systems and consoles, the graphics are still the best you'll find anywhere.

    For long time players, I give RDO a 2 score. We've done everything hundreds, and in some cases thousands of times with nothing new coming along. I will go into the game just to do some collecting and enjoy the scenery as a way to relax after a hard day at work.

    For new players, I give it a 7. If you could have solo lobbies I'd give it a 9 but the loss of content in public lobbies makes the grind that much worse. But as I stated above, there is a lot to keep you busy as a new player.

    You can buy gold to speed up your in game purchasing power, but with R* not supporting the game any more you may as well take your time.

    You get decent XP from all the roles. R* will have monthly rewards such as double role XP and money so that's something to take advantage of.

    If you can get up a posse with your friends it does make the game more enjoyable.

    Between PS4 and PC, I have over 6000 hours of play time. I've enjoyed it for the most part but the longer I played the more bored I got.

    Warning for PC users: Hackers love to ruin the fun. They will blow up everyone in a lobby and then frame some innocent player by making the popup that shows say that player blew everyone up. There are multiple things hackers will do and if you fall for some of them it can results in you getting banned. One trick was them placing false treasure boxes out and then report any player that opens it for cheating. I think R* caught onto that scheme but there are others. Those hackers never tire of finding new ways to screw with people.

    I've attempted to be fair with this review which is why I had to divide it up between long time players and new players. I still remember how much fun I had when I was a new player with something to shoot for.    … Expand

    At launch the online mode was barely playable and even if my friends and I could connect we found that we had to fight more bugs and technical issues then players or npc's, a lot has been fixed now but that will not make up for how poorly rockstar handled the online mode in the first few months.

    So with that out of the way what is the actual online mode like? If you played GTA Online they have a lot alike, some aspects I like even better in Red Dead online than GTA but then again the same goes the other way around too. However even if it worked like intended after a short while you notice that there is not a whole lot to do right now, I'm sure they'll add more stuff in the future but as of right now everything is kinda... Empty, plus it didn't help that rockstar literally gave us the last update on November 14 2019 and then went completely silent until last week finally announcing a new update on the 28th of July which is over 8 MONTHS without any updates or news leading a lot of players to suspect that rockstar had abandoned the game. If we can draw anything from this its the same thing I said about the singleplayer, Rockstars terrible business practices cannot go on like that, it is simply unacceptable to treat your customers like that!    … Expand

    Не хватает контента для онлайн режима. Было бы не плохо перенести все механики из сюжетного режима игры в сетевой (например: рост бороды, игра в домино без прогрузки и так далее). Но я заметил что все понемногу продвигается.

    А жалуюсь я на что?     I've started and quit this game several times...all for the same reason...other players stealing my stuff. From the threatening music...to the threatening characters and quests in this game...and the other players who kill and steal..its probably not sane to pay good money to be messed over in this game.     The creators of this game have a sure fire business plan...make the players experience as difficult as possible. It's all based on pushing the lowest common denominator...pot hole after pot hole.

    Too bad they don't have the sense to elevate the games social qualities a good bit...the underlying environmental game experience is good and realistic...these people did their work right...those who developed the social aspects are only encouraging losers and those criminally inclined. Possibly they are working from prison?

    I tried to play around all the nasty stuff...but eventually it catches up with you. I may play a lower level character later just for kicks but for now it's over and out. Had it.    … Expand

    Incredibly immersive and beautiful game that has a good number of game modes and character roles to choose from. The slower pace might not be for everyone though and so it it may feel repetitive after a while but for the price of the standalone version there are no games that come even close to the world and content that this game delivers.     Your content could be greater with more updates but there is precisely little to do. Most online games have fewer modes and things to do.

    Like every game and more if it is multiplayer it has its failures and bugs, the time to test the dlc is less than a normal singleplayer game and more with lots of players doing everything and trying to get some errors for their benefit.

    Micropayments as in gta v online are not necessary to get anything, everything can be achieved by playing.

    Roles, hunting animals, history missions, races, deathmatches, customization, there is no lack of content even though you can have many more things that will surely come.

    There are things that gta online has that are missing and should already be there, such as private rooms or being able to choose exactly which race or deathmatch you want to do instead of getting into a random one. Perhaps this is so so that you find players faster. But in this online, the loads go much faster than online, I don't know if it's the game or the servers.

    I cannot express enough how immersive this game is. I've been playing it for a few months with no bugs at all. The open world is really interesting, beautiful to see. It feels pretty organic and real. You have a variety of missions and everything kind of ''make sense'' while you play it. I recommend it!

    At first, it was pretty bad and dead, but now It has a couple of new and good things, but Rockstar has to add more updates because the recent ones are not the best.
    The player base is pretty nice and helpful and I've only encountered 1 hacker after around 60hours of playing it.

Здесь этого и близко нету! Также как возможности покупки имущества. Только лагерь, но это смешно! Нельзя купить какое-нибудь ранчо и выращивать свой скот или купить квартиру в городе. Так называемых квестов очень мало! Опытным игрокам тратить деньги нету, так с онлайн проектом быть не должно. В общем, как придаток к сюжетной части, это неплохой бонус. А как отдельный проект, это честно говоря такое себе. Игроки готовы стерпеть баги и читиров, но отсутствие контента уже нельзя. Поэтому можете пробовать и возможно вас затянет!… Expand

    -Total lack of interaction with world, They've somehow managed to make a huge awesome world, that unfortunately feels vapidly vast, yet claustrophobic. There is simply nothing to do, apart from instances/mini games, i.e the free roam multiplayer aspect is just nothing.

    Like RDR2, even though the system requirements are very demanding (otherwise, low FPS), the details still look ugly and the same graphic glitch still exists, (for example, pixel hair)

    Like GTA online, but much worse, hide the new content behind the paywall, but this time, there are two types of game currency. Everything is overpriced, Twice the grind!

    Even though the RDR Online mission is not as elaborated as GTA Online heist mission, it still does not allow players to solo, which is just the lazy and simple game objectives of “go there, kill them, then come back”. The players number requirement is especially bad for the new player, because no one wants to play it and it takes at least 20-30 matchmaking other players.

    Easily trigger game-breaking glitch: walking into the stable with your horse, boom, you are stuck there forever unless you alt+f4.

    Some genius at Rockstar thinks removing the text chart is “realistic”, so you can only use emote (many are not free) and mic to communicate with strangers, and big surprise, no one talks. Unless you specifically look into some other place like discord, the community is as good as dead.

    There are a lot of griefer who constantly harassing new players, but because of the locked behind level requirement and expensive price, it’s not even a fair fight even if you have the skill.

    Like GTA Online, hackers are ruining everyone’s experience and Rockstar chooses to do nothing about it.

    Most importantly, although this is not a free-to-play game, the whole game is built around microtransactions.

    Unlike RDR2 and GTA online, you can’t rob people/stores/trains because they want you to rely on microtransaction

    Everything is overpriced and underpay, ridiculously, you will often need grinding for several days to weeks for a simple item, not to mention you will also need to pay for ammo, repair, and “taxes”

    You know what? **** this game, I am not spending more time on this review. In conclusion, this is clearly not a standalone game, this is just a cash-grab add-on to the story mode whose only purpose is microtransaction. Don’t buy this game, not even during the heavy discount, this is just a broken free-to-play game (and not a good one).

    PS: RDR Online is dead, the Rockstar completely give up on releasing new content and update.

    Edit: The more I play, the more I think Rockstar really makes this game as INSUFFERABLE as possible, they deliberately remove everything that makes RDR2 story mode great, which means NO robbing store/train/people (even if the money isn't good anyway, they got to milk every last drop of microtransaction), LESS diverse random encounter, NO point of interest, NO exploration, NO treasure hunt (the filter level-reward doesn't count, just lazy quest of "go there and pick it up" some laughably low money and gold bar), NO wild horse (discourage exploration and push microtransaction), NO secret weapon (again, grind or spend real money), NO eastern egg, in the end, the world feels lifeless, empty, with no souls, just a big coin slot machine whose only purpose is to push players to spend money.    … Expand

    Very good and extensive western game, excellent coop, atmospheric western feeling. Good main story, apart from missions you can also do good side missions, you can play poker or search vor criminals, animals, collect many things etc.! Very good game. They could do even more but it's already a nice bug-free western game.
