    A solid indie real time strategy that is held back by a few flaws but retains a sense of what it wanted to be. This indie command and conquer could be a strong starting place for Stormcube to expand into the genre in the future.

    This is an almost 90% C&C clone as in game mechanics and features. Its bot AI might be more advanced (it is not too easy to assess the AI in my opinion) but it is not "human like" (a feature that has yet to be achieved in terms of AI anyway ... )

    Graphics are actually alright. A lot prettier than the ancient command and conquer (1 and 2) of course ... with high resolution units, smooth animations and a few modern (more or less modern) effects like shockwaves and distortion. But even then - it is a entirely 2d (not a bad thing - just mentioning it) and less detailed than C&C 3 - which essentially was what i d call 2.5d (yes, you can rotate the battlefield and zoom it - but you really do not do it much)

    Kind of to add insult to injury here - the core mechanics - tactical choices are rather limited and the game usually resolves itself in rush and steamroll tactics - against which the AI simply has no recipe against because it does not know how to build well defended bases.

    Also ... bases ... there are no means to build walls and create better bottlenecks as was possible in C&C 2 red alert... so the game is kind of more pushing for the "attack is the better defense" approach. (similar to red alert 3)

    Personally - i would MUCH rather recommend the old C&C generals zero hour - which offers a LOT more features, more interesting and asymetrical factions, and better gameplay (and with modding support actually better graphics, too)

    In todays gaming environment - reconquest is just overshadowed by so many older games that not only offer more features and better gameplay and mechanics - but also better visuals.

    A game with such simple mechanics would be kind of nice for a more serious mobile gamer (if that exists) - but will not satisfy even a casual PC gamer in my opinion.    … Full Review »

    Completely generic. Basic features like clicking shift to add units to the group aren't coded in. Don't spend you money on it, any old c&cCompletely generic.
