    Only good thing is the nailgun is back. Confusing map design and objectives, overpowered new enemies, too many enemies per map, not enough ammo, not enough health packs or armor, etc. Just really terrible overall.

    I played through this add-on a few times. I've bought it from sale for 1 Euro in a nice jewel box. New missions, new enemies, even a new cheap intro cinematic. 3 new weapons, one of those is a cool chainsaw which is unfortunately way to weak to have any use. For a hardcore fans it's a good fun, another point of view on the invasion.

    Second expansion to the main game Quake II. If you loved playing that game you are definitely going to love playing this second expansion, as well as the first expansion. It's a must-play, both of them.

    It's a nice add-on for the classic game.

    I remember I played it right after I finished Q2 back in 1998 but could never launch it due to my Windows 98 problems. But finally, it's done. Finished in 2 days. Pros.: - Unlike Q2 here you need to think even more. Go here, take this, return there, put it there and then return again to the previous location. - Enemies here are more    It's a nice add-on for the classic game.

    - Unlike Q2 here you need to think even more. Go here, take this, return there, put it there and then return again to the previous location.
    - Enemies here are more challenging. Q2 seemed quite simple. Here - the turrets are annoying, the "spider" enemies crawling behind or on the ceiling.
    - The story is simple but well-done.
    - Nice music.

    Cons.:
    - So far the only problem was to launch the game. But the community found the way. Need to download additional stuff and install it.    … Expand

    A very challenging mission pack for Quake 2. Ground Zero had pretty good level architecture, the new monsters were fine EXCEPT FOR THE HORRENDOUSLY IRRITATING TURRET GUNS, and the new weapons and gadgets were sadly weak and boring. Check out my guide to setting up the KMQuake 2 engine for a better gaming experience.
