Decent homage to Japanese arcade games. Especially the coop-sessions are entertaining, even though there is a lack of items as well as no elaborate story at all.

I can think of no better descriptor for the game than candy floss. There is no substance, no depth, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste good or isn’t pretty to look at. However, I can’t help but feel like this game would be too hard and frustrating for most young children. Conversely, it doesn’t have much of anything to appeal to anyone over the age of six. In the end, I can’t really recommend the game, and the fact that it depicts the genocide of an entire race with the gleeful candour of the Androids from Dragon Ball Z really doesn’t help.

I grew up with the classic Bomberman on NES, SNES, and sega genesis. When I saw the game it immediately reminded me of Bomberman. Now this game is not a Bomberman clone at all, it's got elements of Bomberman but has its own identity.

When you first see this game you might be fooled into thinking oh this will be a simple game that would only appeal to younger kids, well you'd be wrong b/c this game starts out simple but gradually gets more challenging and pushing you to do better with each world new enemies are introduced that require different strategies. I enjoyed the challenge and had fun all the way to the end of the game.

One of my favorite worlds is the 2nd world b/c it actually gives the main characters a different outfit and even the blocks have a unique look. I don't want to spoil it for you but it added a ton of charm and was a really nice touch that made me smile.

I also appreciated that the game had boss fights for each world. I was honestly not expecting this game to have boss fights, but they were some of the coolest parts of the game. The bosses actually have visual battle damage like bandaids and cracks and such when you damage them, I really liked that added touch of detail.

The game is totally playable solo, I have not played the game myself in co-op. I have watched it played co-op on stream and it looks like co-op could be even more fun than solo.

Overall I would recommend this game even if you aren't a fan of the original Bomberman it's got a lot of charm and fun gameplay along with a good amount of challenge to keep you having fun.

The graphics are cute and everything is nice but pretty soon things get more frantic. If you don't pay attention you get ambushed (especially the laser eye squid monsters and the wheelies are good at that) and you end up shouting at the screen. And then you try again. Fortunately there are checkpoints at the end of each world and you can start a new game from there. And when you lose all of your lives you get to continue (with your score reset to 0), which makes finishing the game quite doable. The game has a lot of achievements and some of those look pretty difficult, so if you are looking for a challenge, try getting some of those.

The game has quite a bit of variety in the designs: every world has its own theme and unique monsters. There is one puzzle level in each world, where it is not about defeating all of the monsters before the timer runs out but rather finding out which blocks to push where so you can finish at all. At least there is no time limit on the puzzles...

The boss fights are what I liked most about this game. Every boss has its own behaviour and the trick is to discover when is the best moment to hit them without being hit yourself. Easier said than done because you'll also be dodging blocks that fall from the ceiling!

The best way to play this game is with two players, although you can play it perfectly fine alone. It is just a lot more fun together. And you can use Steam Remote Play!

The tight difficulty curve makes for a fair quick experience, as well as a hardcore, frantic challenge in later levels. It gets too hard? No problem, take a friend to help you, that's when the game shines the most.

Neatly polished graphics and a catchy, upbeat soundtrack round the experience.

Yes you will die, often, but that's what makes it a great arcade game, as its difficulty is well adjusted

Great classic arcade. Difficulty is adjusted but challenging. Very fun to play in coop!
