Very fun game if you have friends to play with. You CAN play with strangers online but the mileage just isn't the same without real friends. Only downside is that some mini games seem to favor the host.

Really have been enjoying this game. I've always been a huge fan of Mario Party games so this game is almost as good but with the ability to play online. Which is the main reason why I keep coming back to this game, even more so over Super Mario Party. The mini games are fun but not that much variety compared to any other MP game. Which is the main reason why I keep coming back to this game, even more so over Super Mario Party. The mini games are fun but not that much variety compared to any other MP game. They could definitely use more patterns in some of the mini games as well. After playing them for a while you will naturally learn all of them and it becomes a bit repetitive. The board play aspect of the game is probably my favorite part about the game. There are only 4 boards as of now and they're all really fun to play but I would like to see them add more boards in the future. I really like the ability to combat with your opponents by collecting all the items and using them against others. Overall this game is a lot of fun to play has a lot of potential to be the better party game over MP but only if they keep adding content to the game. Expand

It needs a lot of work in the fine details, but the core of this game is already great and a lot of fun. If the devs could add in the QOL updates to make playing more smooth, as well as add in more sound effects and map-level feedback, this would be an absolute banger of a Mario Party style game. Great work so far, but it still needs work!

Pummel Party at its core tries to put a spin on the familiar Mario Party formula, and it does do that, just not exceptionally well. It has only 5 maps to pick from, and while its 38 mini-games might seem generous (for an indie title), many of the mini-games are just imitations of pre-existing games or are too similar to one another warrant any special praise. It has only 5 maps to pick from, and while its 38 mini-games might seem generous (for an indie title), many of the mini-games are just imitations of pre-existing games or are too similar to one another warrant any special praise. Pummel Party doesn't really have that replay value that you would want from a party game, having only played a few rounds of the game I can safely say that I don’t really have a strong urge to go back and play it again anytime soon. While the game itself is fun to play with friends, I found that after having played about three games I had already seen everything there was to offer. The mini games themselves vary drastically in quality, and many merely imitate pre-existing games, examples include:

    1. Bouncing Balls: Pong
    2. Rockin Rhythm: Guitar Hero/Tap Tap Hero
    3. Temporal Trails: Light Bike
    4. Strategic Shockwave: Bomber Man

There are mini-games which involve racing, but because there’s no items to use, no ways of interrupting or distracting your competitors, and no alternate paths to use to try gain shortcuts, most of these races are pretty much set in stone from the moment the race begins. There is also no variation in the layout of the maps for each mini-game, so you will play the exact same map each time you replay a mini-game. So the people who are able to memorize the maps and or simply get in the lead because someone else falls off the track or something will pretty much have an unshakeable advantage. These maps include:
    1. Rotor Race
    2. Miniature Motors
    3. Slippery Sprint
    4. Rusty Racers

Also some mini-games have the players all dodge obstacles until one is left standing, many of them feel extremely samey and get repetitive quickly. These include:
    1. Breaking Block
    2. Cannon Circle
    3. Bullet Barrage
    4. Laser Leap
    5. Searing Searchlights
    6. Spooky Spikes

That isn’t to say all of the mini-games are bad, even the ones just mentioned aren’t bad, they’re just not particularly amazing either. If you’ve got a good group to play with you will have fun with this game, I guarantee it.
The actual board game side of things is standard, you collect a token of sorts which are bought with currency and whoever has the most of these tokens wins. What’s interesting however is the HP mechanic. Traps found on the map and items which players can use on their turns to attack their opponents all deplete player HP. If a player’s health reaches 0 they respawn at a point far away from the next token and lose a considerable amount of keys (the in-game currency). When characters take damage some of their keys are dropped nearby where they died, and players who walk past can pick them up. The items and killing your friends was probably my favourite part of the game, and offered the greatest variety in how you played the game.

The game’s visuals are simple and clean, and get the job done just fine. There’s nothing here to blow you away, but some of the background environments were particularly nice at times. I didn’t have any performance issues with the game but my friends and I did run into a few bugs which included crashes, not being able to move after rolling the die, awkward pauses after turns were taken on the board, glitched rag-dolling and some other minor bugs.

My biggest problem with this game which I cannot stress is enough, is not being able to rejoin a game if you have to leave or lag out. If people are busy and need to leave or lag out for whatever reason, just let an AI take over their spot until they get back and let them rejoin. The game does have a save system, but we couldn’t really figure out how to save and the save files weren’t always there, so I assume there’s some type of auto-save thing going on. It was confusing. Also, the biggest problem with this system is that players have to join in the same order that they did before, otherwise they’ll play as a different character. For example: If P1 has 20 keys and P2 has 0 keys while playing, but then you load the save and P2 gets in the game first and P1 gets in the game second, P2 will have 20 keys and P1 will have 0 keys.

There really isn’t too much else to say about this one. It’s fun for what it is, and I would recommend it to people who love party games/board games, but for its asking price there really isn’t enough replay value or overall quality to justify the asking price.

Pummel Party is a 4-player online and local-multiplayer party game that was derived from Warcraft 3, Uther's party map.
Only the first 20 minutes of the gameplay were a bit funny, and that’s only because I was playing with my friend. Then the game gets dull.

Uther's party is about play interesting and nutty mini-games not just stalling and observing the map.
I would advise you to check this game out with your mates on your owns and then return funds.
    5/10 for the game.
0/10 for the "There was a problem posting your review." on steam and deleting all my previous review and wasting my time.

You can't play the game without your friends too bad I played it for about 9 hours and if you get bored, consider this the game itself is very repetitive and the maps are few

I simply cannot reccomend the game in this state. The best way to describe it is "boring", which is not good for a party game.

While the game does look pretty, performs well, and has ok minigames, the rest of it is soulless and boring, for a multitude of reasons:

There's a very noticeable absence of sound in the game. For example, the characters aren't voiced. Their steps don't make noise. They don't scream when they hurt. There's no ambient noise, either, or any kind of sound for different kinds of squares. It feels so empty, and boring.
The game also feels really slow. The characters move slowly, the objects/weapons aren't enough to make a serious damage to other players unless everyone gangs up on them, there are no special events of any kind like a boss battle.
It feels like the objects/weapons were made thinking about "being balanced", completely missing the point of this being a WACKY PARTY GAME and that ridiculous effects actually make it more fun. The vast majority of them are weak and lame, barely able to actually inconvenience other players. The only way is for at least 3 player to gang up on one poor soul that will be miserable for the rest of the match.
The minigames, while being serviceable, all suffer from one major issue: it's hard to see your character. The character is not bright enough, has no outline, most games are very fast paced. The result? You will lose track of who's who leading to some very lame scenarios. The reward for winning a minigame isn't all that great either, you just have to avoid placing last.
There is also no way to make a comeback. Aside from a single extremely rare object, there's no "duel" game or any sort of way to steal currency from other players. Even killing them will make them drop some keys and MAYBE you can pick them up 5 turns later.
And lastly, the ending. Once you end this game, there's a prize ceremony, except the 3 awards given aren't randomized, and as such, you will always know who wins. Oh, and there's also no way to start another game right away. You have to quit and clumsily go back to the start menu again.

These problems wouldn't be that bad by themselves, but when you pile them up, you get an extremely sluggish, lame and boring game, which actually wouldn't be that bad, if this wasn't a PARTY GAME TO HAVE FUN WITH.
What's even more infuriating is that these are just QoL changes, that could be easily fixed. But the game is more than 2 years old at the time I'm writing this. I don't think they will. But one can hope.

TL; DR It's boring. painfully so. Play literally any other party game until it's fixed.

It's a mario party copy that just didn't do it quite that good. It's still fun if you want to try something new to play together with your friends.

Can't really get into the game. The minigames are fun, but the board game concept seems rather boring to me. Still, a good online alternative to games like Mario Party.
